Oh well, I think I may have found some good webspace for it through my cable modem provider. I should have a link up and running shortly. Check back in an hour or two.

What's the proper size limits for a picture in overview. I can't seem to get it right.

The Afghani terrain seems really bad for helicopters. All that gravel and dust getting blown everywhere, getting into every joint and crevice. How many choppers have been lost there now?

Yep, youre right. Â I got it it working. Thanks. Â -
Hillary may be the Democrats only chance if she is willing to go through with it. All the other candidates I've seen would get their butts whooped by Bush in 2004. Hillary is the only one on the list that would able to put up a good fight. Personally, I think it's about time we grew up and let a woman try out the presidency. Hell, I would prefer nearly anyone rather than having to look at Bush's smug face for another 4 years. I'd vote for her.

Well, it's not surprising that Iraqis praise Saddam everytime you stick a TV camera in front of them.  Any negative comments about their leader in public and that person will most likely suddenly disappear within a few days. Keep in mind that NOT loving Saddam is officially a crime in Iraq.  Once Saddam is gone I can guarantee that they will be singing a different tune about him.  On the other hand, I doubt they have much love for Bush either.  Its all FUBAR either way it goes. As far as Islamic fundamentalism and hatred for western culture goes... Well you can change people’s opinion about a leader, but I agree that it's much more difficult trying to change their opinion in the matter of religion.  Islam, on the whole, is sort of in the "Middle Ages" of religious evolution.  Given time they will become more tolerant and civilized.  It took Christianity a good while before they became tolerable to live with. Improve literacy and education in the region, make it accessible for everyone, not just the local elite and you will find these suicide bomber recruiters having a much harder time finding volunteers.

A significant number can be said to be misinformed about foreign policy perhaps, but not any more than you wouldn't find in any European country - relatively speaking. Besides you can't really generalize people like that. About 50% of the US seems to support Bush. Perhaps a little more than 50%. The majority of these people are not hardcore government supporters. (Republicans traditionally believe in small govenment) These are the same people who questioned, bitched, and moaned about everything Clinton did for 8 years. They have a very long history of questioning their government. In fact it's nice to hear them shut the hell up for a change.

I started out playing the demo with a 450 Pentium II - I upgraded to an AMD 1.33 T-Bird when the European release came out - Then Just before Resistance was released I got an AMD 2200XP which I'm still using today.

CNN.com - Paris Terrorist Plot Huh, have I been living in a cave or something? Â Are the Algerians still sore about all that stuff back in the early nineties? Â The news report seemed kind of vauge about who the protagonists were. Â Anyone know whats going on?

You however are supporting just that.<span id='postcolor'> Well...On the other hand you could argue that leaving Saddam Hussein in place is the same as letting "the citizens of Iraq die slowly and miserably." I sense that both sides on this debate is using the same arguments. In fact, many Americans who would support a war with Iraq use this humanitarian argument for their justification. They don't really want to get involved in a war, but they feel its Americas duty to liberate these oppressed Iraqis. It's the old "knight on a white horse" syndrome that people still believe in. The fact that they are being hypocritical about it is irrelevant, since these people have little knowledge of foreign affairs other than what CNN spoon feeds them. However, don't assume that all Americans are brainwashed hardcore supporters that never question their government. This is anything but true. There are huge debates going on right now questioning pretty much anything you could think of. It pisses me off when I hear snooty Europeans pulling shit out of their asses thinking they are somekind of intellectual elite or something. Anyway back to current events: Inspector Blix is asking the US & UK to help them out with this so called "evidence" that they have. Now the CIA nor MI5 don't have any obligations to share such information if it endagers their sources, I can understand this, but... Are they bluffing? Is Blix calling their bluff? I saw ex-secretary Albright on Newsline last night, and she also urged the intelligence community to reveal what they know. This will be interesting in the next few days. It's like a big poker game.

Well, Ralph... I don't mean to push it, but NK is an important part of the "whole picture" when you talk about war with Iraq. Â The justifications for invading Iraq are the same as the ones that North Korea are guilty of. Â Like Schoeler said, In many cases, one could argue that North Korea is a bigger threat than Iraq. Â I think its very relevant... but youre the mod, so I'll shut up.

I couldn't resist the temptation to read this post... Spoiler warning and all... I'm going to see it this Sunday if all goes well. Â I'm a big fan of the book. In fact I just re-read it recently so I can impress my friends by complaining about stuff they left out of the movie... Question: Â No wait dont tell me.... Bah nevermind, tell me anyway. Â Is the story of Frodo & Sam separate like in the book? You know.. the first half of the Two Towers were about the rest of the Fellowship, the battle of Helms Deep, Isengard and all that, while the other half was all about Frodo & Sam (and Gollum). Â It was all taking place at the same time, but how did the movie handle this? Â Did it switch back and forth? Edit: NVM, reading your post again I realized that you already had answered that for me: Starts out with Sam & Frodo --> The rest of the Fellowship story --> Then Frodo & Sam again to finish off the move.

A classic downed-pilot-trying-to-get-back-to-friendly-lines mission would be cool in a vietnam setting. Anyone remember that old Amiga game called "Lost Patrol" where you played as a squad from a downed huey shot down behind enemy lines, trying to make your way back home. It was one of the first games that I owned that had real video clips integrated into the game... It had a really cool atmosphere. Anyway, a OFP version of the Lost Patrol would be great.

War with North Korea is a logistical nightmare. Even Bush would probably make every excuse he could think of NOT to go there. The cost, both economically and in terms of manpower would be rediculous. The US military is spread so thin around the world right now, that threatening military action against anyone else would be insanity. We got more than enough on our plate. Even a war with Iraq is pushing it... If it turns into a large campaign, Desert Storm size and length-wise, we may have some problems keeping up with all our other obligations around the world. Even my National Guard unit is gearing up for a possible war with Iraq, there simply aren't enough units to support all these operations with active duty personel alone. Another big operation like Iraq at this point in time, and you high school seniors better get ready to pack your bags and be ready to ship off to basic training as soon as you graduate... I'm talking about that little draft card you carry around...

Suddenly, every attack AFTER WTC has ties with Al Queda. Doesnt that seem a bit strange? I think Al Queda are getting far more credit than they should actually have. They have effectively become the boogy men of the terrorist world. Yes, they are a threat, but they are not the biggest problem in the world. I dont think any European on this forum has had the delusion that we can't be attacked by Al Queda at some point.<span id='postcolor'> Yes I agree that Al Queda is getting way too much credit. They are just one of hundereds of organizations that encourage terrorism for a hundered different reasons. Its just an easy way for govenrments and media to simplify the terrorist problem and give this "War on Terror" a properly defined enemy without too much confusion for the average schmoe. Its so much simpler to call them all "Al Queda", than trying to figure out exactly who all these little groups are and what their objectives may be. Just because the CIA finds an e-mail sent to a known terrorist, from his cousins, brother-in-law, who happened to meet Osama-Bin-Laden once in 3rd grade, doesent mean that this terrorist is linked with Al-Queda. I'm sure (at least I hope) that in the deep recesses of intelligence organizations, people do realize this, and all this Al Queda nonsense is just for political show...
