I just checked with Codemasters. Even if we Americans order it directly through them, they still won't send it out until the 2nd July. What the hell is up with that? Might as well wait until the store get's em. It's blatant anti-American racism!!!

Sorry if I confused you. It is no secret that Israel is one of the biggest buyers of U.S. weapons, and much of the trade is financed with the $2 billion a year it gets from Washington in military aid. Its arsenal includes dozens of US helicopters (AH 64As, AH 1Fs, AH 1Gs); hundreds of tanks (M-60s) and armoured personnel carriers; and the biggest fleet of American fighter aircraft outside the US (F-15s, F-16s, F-4s and A-4s).  Do you seriously believe that we sent Israel all these weapons with nothing but a users manual? Well...Resistance is comming out tomorrow, so I won't have time to argue with you guys anymore.  It's been an interesting discussion.  To all you poor bastards living in Israel I offer you my most sincere hopes that I am wrong in believing in the impossibility of peace.  Good Luck! </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE"> You really don't know what you are talking about. Israel does not need American protection, the Arab nations simply are not a match for Israel, and what would America do if they were? Its time for the USA to stop considering Israel as an American outpost.<span id='postcolor'> This would be a dangerousy arrogant assumption on the behalf of Israel if they really believed this was true.  I completely agree that Israel has a very fine and capable military. One of the best! They should be, we trained them ourselves. They have since then become a thriving self-reliant fighting force. They could probably repel any single Arab nation who wanted to invade them with relative ease. BUT if the Arab Alliance ever realized that they could get away it (i.e. the U.S. promised not to intervene.), or if Saddam ever got any of his weapons of mass destruction working, there would be no more Israel as we know it.  Israel would put up a good fight, but in the long run, they would be overwhelmed and ultimately defeated. If I was an Israeli, I would think twice before getting snooty with the only true friend that I had.  The USA! And yes if Israels existence was truly threatened, the U.S. would intervene without hestiation with full military force before the EU or the UN would consider doing anything.  I think we have more than proven the fact that we stand up for our allies, even when the international community scorns us for it.

That cobra looked like any other american cobra in OFP. Did'nt you notice the beginning of "United States Army" written on the tail fuselage? It's not a resistance helicopter.

Israel is under no military threat it can't more than handle, and just because you give them millions of dollars don't expect American "advice" to count for anything.<span id='postcolor'> This is a perfect example of the typcal Israeli ingratefulness, and disrespect that I was talking about. If they are so confident that they can handle everything on their own, why worry if U.S. cut them off? THEY NEED US!! plain and simple. Israel's ties to the west is the only reason why the other Arab States haven't pulverized them yet. I can't believe I got suckered into this debate....

If Resistance is comming out in two days, this implies that most game stores already have them in stock waiting until they can put them on the shelves, right? Don't tell me that nobody has snuck a peak at the game yet. I know you're out there!! Tell me dammit...what are the new additions? I can't wait any longer, I will go ape shit if I don't find out right NOW!! I don't care if it's just two more days!! Must know....must....NOW!! AAAaarrgh.....

I've got it, it's Gastovskis new ride! He's a CIA superspy, black-op etc., so he could probably get a hold of an early prototype. Â He stole it, James Bond style.... It's just an idea....

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">If the US were to abandon peacemaking now after it has interfered already in the Middle East then the situation could well increase out of control until the US is compelled to act in its own self interest (large scale pro-Bin Laden islamic radical revolution and overthrow of pro-western oil monarch regimes for example)<span id='postcolor'> Do you really think that our biased meddling in the Palestinian/Israeli conflict is preventing the Arab states to stop selling us oil??  I would think it's the other way around.  If we keep pissing off the Arab Alliance by kissing up to Israel, they would be more likely to cut us off. I guess we owe it to Israel to stay involved as they depend on us for their survival.  I still think that it's time to let nature take it's course.  Israel has become a liablilty for us, they repeatedly defy any "advice" we give them while at the same time expecting us to bail them out if things get completely out of hand.  It's neither apporpriate nor helpful for us to associate ourselves with either them or the PA. I really do feel sorry for the people who live there who just want to get along and live their lives, but any lasting peace in that region will NEVER work. It's a shame. These ceasefires have become nothing more than  a re-group and organize session for both sides.  It gives the PLO cronies time to build another set of bombs, and Israel time to catch up on tank maintenence.  It's delaying the inevitable, which in this case is a fight to the end.  Wether or not the U.S. or the rest of the worls gets involved in trying to make peace will not change this fact.     They are either just going to have to learn that co-existence is the only option they have.  Or they will just keep killing each other until one side is wiped off the planet.  Either way the choice is theres and not anybody elses. BTW, your Africa analogy was in poor taste.  This is a completely different and unique situation.  Don't twist my words around.

When I was in High School I always thought the pledge of allegiance was kind of cheesy. Â It doese'nt really bother me that it's gone. The U.S. could use some de-cheesing when it comes to patriotism anyway. Â Before you flame me for saying this, understand that I do consider myself a patriot. I just can't stand all that lofty, flag waving, fiery speech, eye tearing mush that people spew out in the name of my country. Â Patriotism = Loyalty, and should be expressed in deeds. Â How many flags you have hanging off your car doese'nt count, it is meaningless to me. Â I wouldn't call the pledge un-constitutional though. Â If they have such a problem with the word "God" they need to replace all our cash too, you know "In God we Trust". Â Where will it end? Doesen't make any sense.

Hmmm....I'd love to see how they will explain it. Maybe i'ts just a bonus helicopter for a couple of single player missions and not actually a part of the campaign. Doese'nt make any sense though I don't know... I mean it's right there.... Unless my eyes decieve me that definitely looks like a Hokum. What other helicopter could it be?

I just finished SOF2 last night, I figured I get it over with before OFPR comes out. I thought it was pretty fun while it lasted (3 days), but once you've played it, its over. You can't really compare it with OFP, it's just a different type of game. The gore is absolutely stunning. The head alone has like 9 different areas that react differently when you shoot at it. Jaw comes loose. Pieces of skull fall off exposing the brain. Brain is blown out. Head comes off completely while blood keeps squirting out in tune with the still beating heart...and the gurgling death sounds are bone chilling...I was amazed, thrilled and disturbed all at the same time. Weapons are better than SOF1 but are still pretty lame sounding. AI was actually not bad at all. Reminded me a little of the AI in MOHAA. As long as you don't play it on the easiest level the AI is really good. There you have it: Fun game but short lived. Here I am, back to OFP in less than a week.

Don't you realize that you guys are arguing with each other over a conflict that has no possible way of reaching a solution.  Yes, it is sad to see that the territorial dispute between the Israelis and the Palestinians has become some perverse all-out religious war.  This to me is the most sickening of all types of war. It’s completely useless, and has absolutely no way of becoming resolved until one side is 100% wiped out. There is NO peaceful solution here, only violence in it's most primitive form.  So what should the rest of the world do about this?  Simple: Sit back and enjoy the show, pretend it's a movie or something. There is NOTHING that can be done.  It's very sad that so many innocent lives, especially children, will be wasted, but this is the way of nature.  Human nature at it's worst.  May we all learn from it. "It is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law if it acquires the political power to do so, and will follow it by suppressing opposition, subverting all education to seize early the minds of the young, and by killing, locking up, or driving underground all heretics." ---Robert A. Heinlein in Postscript to Revolt in 2100 Let this thread die already!

This may have been asked before, so please bear with me. Â I have so many addons and modifications to OFP right now, that when OFPR comes out I plan to do a clean re-install of everything. Â What version of OFP will OFPR require? Â Will it update everything on a nice big master patch or do I have to install all the old patches one-by-one again before installing OFPR?

I'm an 11B in the Guard (3/124th INF). Â I agree with PitViper, Ft. Stewart sucks raw a**. Â I just got back from my two week AT there a couple of weeks ago. Â It was completely miserable, I lost over 10 lbs while I was there, mostly from sweating my balls off humping endless miles with the 240B. Â The bugs were unbearable, I'm still finding ticks on my body. Â I don't care if I ever see that place again. Next year we are going to JRTC for AT. Â Woohoo! Â Those active duty opfor guys are going to slaughter us. I hear they are pretty sharp. Is this true? 11b?
