    Radio targeting (f11) fixed !

What means "F11"? My F11 key doesn't work. Targeting is a great function.Good leader strengthens his team.OFP is a tactical FPS,not a general FPS like Quake,UT. </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Balschoiw @ Nov. 01 2002,04:31)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">There were a lot of problems in laddering caused by abusing the F11 radio targeting that enabled leaders to assign targets that were highlighted with yellow squares. This way people were able to shoot precisly through fog and kill enemies on 400 without having seen them once.<span id='postcolor'> Not true. You cannot know assigned enemy position precisely when he is in fog,or in the distance. You can know that precisely only when he is in sight of you.

Are you able to reproduce it?<span id='postcolor'> Yes,I can reproduce it on some particular servers(NOT ALL 1.87beta server),like: - games.himitsukichi.com - SBI NetForce V.E.P. You can find them on ingame server browser. These servers: - have good ping for me(70ms or lower) - rotate missions When I type #missions in these servers,it shows Islands(Desert Island is pre-selected),but shows no mission. Then I select other Islands,it shows missions rarely(probability:10% or lower). I have a router.A friend of mine without router has no problem in these servers. This might be a problem related with routers..

    General about 1.85 patch

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (KaRRiLLioN @ Oct. 15 2002,04)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">How has the lag been for ppl?  After I updated the dedicated server and several of us got on, it seemed a lot more jumpy, i.e. ppl disappearing and then reappearing several  meters away. The desynch seems to be going higher.  I almost never had any lag issues with 1.75.  I tried rebooting the server and such, but it didn't seem to help.  I'm just curious what other ppl's observations are on this.<span id='postcolor'> Server outgoing data stream is very very unstable. You can check this by #monitor. It shows 600Kbps,then 7Kbps,then 400Kbps. The lag has increased from 1.75.

#vote admin works but cant do anything then

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Cyrus-The-Virus @ Aug. 15 2002,16:20)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">When i connect to a server, and i am the only one i type in global channel : #vote admin My_Name I get the word ADMIN behind my name. But now i can't select anything anymore. Cant select role or time duration (if there is any). When new people come in the server i cant see them either but i do see what they are typing in global channel. The only button i can press is "DISCONNECT". when i reconnect then i see all the players that are connected (im not admin then) when they all vote for me the same thing happens again....<span id='postcolor'> I also have the same problem. My situation: -OFP 1.75 -Windows XP -Cable connection -No personal firewall/proxy -I can connect with almost all servers comfortably, except these servers. steyr.himitsukichi.com:2302 sbinetforce.dip.jp:2302 pk.dip.jp:2302 (You can find them on Gamespy server list.) -In these servers,I succeed only in [#vote mission].[#vote admin][#vote missions][#vote reassign] do not function well. When I type [#vote admin MYNAME],I get the word ADMIN behind my name, but all I can do is disconnect.I cannot see the confirmation message "Logged in as admin". -I have a router. When I remove it,everything works fine.

    Was my vote successful?

In 1.75,When I cast my vote,I cannot know whether it was successful, because no message shown for me. for example, #vote reassign -successful,but no message shown for him who cast vote. #vote reasssssssssssssssign -not successful,of course, and no message shown for him who cast vote. Is this a bug or specification? I don't know, but this is bad for players, especially for newbie.I think that it is better to display the message(JOHN votes:reassign) for him who cast vote. And CLICK&VOTE SYSTEM is more wonderful.
  11. When is the patch with new netcode offered? (1.75?) I know Resistance is worth to buy,and I will. But I cannot wait any longer! Imagineer, the agency in Japan, has not announced the release date yet..

I often check your great FAQ,but I didn't notice new Resistance section. so,this means.. "BIS does not support/update OFP:Cold War Crisis any longer." ?? If so,I cannot understand why BIS does not call Resistance as OFP2.
