You should get a drop in FPS... At 1280x960 or 1600x1200, your fps should be ok... But enabling anti-aliasing is going to just tax the living hell out of your video card. The forests in OFP were always like that.

Haven't had any problems with my Radeon 9800Pro... The game has crashed a few times, but it was heat related... Too bad my processor can't keep up!!! What does the -nomap function do? Got me curious!

... Uh huh. So they decided to make this change for what reason? More realism? I still can't stand the lighting at around 3:30-4:30 while NOT being in a town... The lighting just looks like garbage compared to before they changed it... Switching between version 1.00 and Resistance makes it quite noticeable. Oh well, I'm just going to avoid any type of darkness at all costs. This garbage just makes my eyes water!

Oh Lord... With a light, (at night), around say, a house, some grass, a fence, and other objects that actually have color, everything will not be white. That is of course, unless your color blind. If it WAS supposed to be like this, then why would the character be "lit" up with a white light, around 4:00-4:30? (Depending on month/time). It USED to be a red-ish, or dark pink shade, but now it's white... It's just not how it's supposed to be. Did BIS ever give a reason for changing this?

How do you figure it's "working as intended", while video cards with pixel shaders show black and frickin' white? And as long as we buy video cards from now on, we'll NEVER see color again, untill they decide to fix it. There is no workaround, except to buy an older video card, and oh yeah, that's a fun thing to do. For now, I just never make, or try to play a mission at night... Dawn and dusk are ok, as long as it's not dark enough outside to make the lights turn on.

Yeah, I found this out the hard way, when I was at 90% and it cut off.... With my 56k! It was taking about two hours, and then I found out that the site went down. *sigh* Oh well!

This would definately have to be one of the most important problems in the game... I can't believe they're just letting this slide! Ugh, I remember when the game used to look good, with my old Radeon. :|

I do agree that the game is dead, and I'm HOPING to God that something will happen SOON, that will make it much more exciting, for the people who play the game, and find it the same crap, over and over. Although I do HOPE that it gets better, I doubt it actually will... I just can't wait for official addons.

Yeah... Like this game engine could handle it. I just want more islands... Like, REAL islands. Not this desert and snow garbage... Yuck. I think the island on Resistance will be AWSOME... So many new textures, buildings, trees... *DROOOOL* I could only imagine going on a rampage with my AKM then.

Heck no... There's hardly any "mods" out there worth getting... And if they would have released Oxygen to the public, at LEAST we'd have something to tinker with. I doubt we'll see anything, anytime soon.

... This island is old as dirt. I can't even stand it either... Thought it would be "alright", with a better viewdistance, but it's just so lame. If it had grass, trees and bushes on it, it would be better, but that would take more time.

Oh comon Placebo... I can make a better effect in real life, by drawing little dots on a piece of paper and waving it in front of my face!!! The rain is just horrible in this game... And it always has been. I wouldn't mind it as much, if there were decent sounding THUNDER sounds to go along with it, but it's just nasty. For anybody who's ever played Hidden and Dangerous, and remembers the rain, lightning, and thunder from that, then you know what I'm talking about... I'd like to see the code re-written for this effect.

Well, whatever OS you're using, I hope to GOD that you have the TCP/IP protocols installed... If not, the game won't work in multiplayer... And quite frankly, you wouldn't be on the internet either. Check to make sure TCP/IP is installed under your network properties, and if it is, you should easily be able to host a game on one machine, then EASILY join it with the other. I play LAN here at my house a little too much.

When Counter-Strike gets to the point where you can fly helicopters, planes, drive cars, jeeps, armored vehicles and boats, be able to use a wide variety of weaponry such as rocket propelled grenades, on an island as huge as one of many that OFP offers, then I'll consider it a good multiplayer game. Only thing it has now over OFP, is netcode... Well, that's Half-Life's anyway, and we all know why the netcode is so good. It's like comparing the latency of a multiplayer game of pong, to a MMORPG.

Two questions/comments about this fix. It seems to crash 1.45 whenever I goto play a single player mission... I'm trying to see if it's still doing it. And second of all, how can I change it back to the old crosshair? I can't stand Satchel's. -
