    Sir william gates

If anyone should have gross amounts of money, I think its Bill Gates. Why? Because he is going to give most of it back to charity, and he all ready has donated enormous sums. He isnt just sitting on the cash hording it, he is actually using it to do good. He even said that his kids will get 10 million dollars from him, no more. To us, that is ALOT. To him, its piddly sheit. Nah, he is a better candidate for wealth than many others.

I dont think they see the US as a part of a solution. I think they view them as a part of the problem.

I doubt they thought Palestinians did it. Those that danced and cheered did so because the US finally got to feal what terror is like, something these people experience every day, paid for by US tax funds.

    Who´s going to win ?

    1. Exactly what info are you referring to? 2. If the leader of Iran demanded info from the US on their weapons capability, do you think Bush would hand it over? Because there were no WMD's? Because he thought they were spying on him? Because the Iraqi people and Saddam were offended about the WMD claims? Would the US allow UN inspectors to valse through their facilities whenever they pleased? Yes, but that was not the reason you guys went to war. The reason Bush went to war with Iraq, the reason he told the people and the government, was that Iraq had WMD's and was about to use them on the US. And there is no proof, nor has there ever been, that this was his intention. No, we are not safer. The world hasnt become a safer place through this action. Quite the contrary. A crusade to convert the heathens then, if you will. Nice to see atleast one America admiting to the fact that America has comitted an international crime and started an illegal war. Yeah, screw the people living there. They shouldnt have a say. The American way is the only way, the best way. Even if we have to pry their jaws open and shove it down their throats at gunpoint... Thats just sickening. The only way they can be democratized is if they themselves want it, you cant force it on them.

Maybe because Israeli citizens have an army that is quite willing to issue payback when Palestinians have attacked their civilians? Israeli citizens do not have to go on a rampage when they have armed forces to do the fighting. So the reason for Israels foundation and existance isnt based on the religous idea that its their land? If not, then why was Israel founded on that specific location?

    The Middle East part 2

Of course it has. But as long as religion is used to fuel the conflict it sure as brushfire wont end. Equivalent, no, I cant. I dont get that many Israeli channels I am afraid. However, knowing human nature, my experience tell me that children are quite effected by the grown ups around them. If grown ups spout hatred towards a certain group of people, children will quickly pick up on this. TV shows arent needed in order to fill children with hate. I never said that. And I havent excused anything. There is no excuse for turning your child into a hating monster. But like I and others have told you time and time again, we all know that these things are done by the palestinians. We all have acknowledged that its bad. Our point however is that Israel is also to blame in all this. Which you of course always deny. Since Israel and its people are chosen by God (handy excuse that one, musnt forget to include it in my future cult enterprises). Yes, and I am sure all Germans were nazis. Just like all Palestinians are members of terrorist groups. Individual freedom is fine, as long as it doesnt start inflicting pain on others. Then society tends to think its unacceptable. I hold the same view on religions. What a believer does in his home, church or on the street is unimportant to me. As long as it isnt leading to pain and suffering for others. Why not chuck it at the same time? Doesnt matter. As the sole argument for Israels existence is the fact that God gave the Jews that land, it has no relevance how many actually care. As long as its the nations guideline to justify what they do, its a problem.

Propagande in controlled media, hardly a new phenomena. But I am sure that there is no such similar thing exposed to Israeli children. They get the truth from all angles so they can make up their own mind, surely not tainted by opinions of Pal hating Israeli grown-ups... Someone wrote it before in the thread. As long as neither side even bothers to contemplate the plight of their enemy, peace will never be achieved. Well, atleast not until one side is totally wiped out. So you got two choises: 1. Kill all Palestinians 2. Try and achieve peace through understanding and meeting them half way. Oh, yes, of course. I know. No palestinian wants peace with Israel. They all want to kill you. They are the spawn of devils. The third solution would be: 3. Chuck religion out the window and you'll notice that there isnt much to kill each other for anymore.

What else is there to say? Naturally this kind of fanatics will indoctrinate their kids with their own belief. I could produce as many phots and then some of American militia men posing with their armed kids, and rappers putting guns in their babies hands. This doesnt mean all Americans bring up their children this way, or are prone to violence. I am quite sure there are many Israeli parents who indoctrinate their own kids, so it doesnt really say much about common, every day people. Oh, i forgot. There are no common palestinians. They are all evil demons from the pits of hell!!

So now every common Palestinian is a member of the Al Aqsa martyr brigade too?

Not the same kind of controversy, no. No, I dont. Because to some its a glorious thing, something you get sent to heaven for. Thus good, not bad. And to others, it was an action simply by an evil terrorist, not a person with a history and a life. Yes, but I am not sure every Israeli would agree with that.

    The Middle East part 2

I dont think so. I think it isnt done, because the acts were comitted by a mad man and there is no controversy. Everybody in Finland knows it was bad and evil and there isnt much to debate about that.

Exactly, it breaks no laws. There for, the government can't do anything.

    The Middle East part 2

No, I am not. There is a settlement which name eludes me, but I have seen it covered on 60 minutes, national news, newspapers etc, that has been closed of totally. The IDF controls the gates in the walls, and on the other side of the walls are the local farmers fields. The IDF opens the gates early in the morning for 15 minutes and late at night, for 15 minutes. If you miss those two deadlines, you're out of luck. But, the IDF does not seem to care to much, since there has been long periods of time when the gates werent opened at all. I think the longest was a couple of weeks. Well, then one of us is being lied to or there was a misunderstanding between the parties involved. As far as we have been told, it was in regards to the conference, which is seperate from the exchibit. Being an embassador in Sweden I am sure he knew that we have freedom of speach and that the government cannot restrict peoples artistic freedom that way. If he didnt know this, he is quite an ignorant diplomat. Which I doubt. No, its because we honestly dont diferentiate between jewish and christian swedes (or atheists, for that matter).

So now a political agenda equals conspiracy? Wow....
  15. Longinius

    The Middle East part 2

No, I am not. I am referring to the camps created when settlements are surrounded and closed off by walls, with gates controlled by the IDF who dictates who and when gets in and out. And that government honored the agreement. The agreement was that the conference wouldnt touch on the subject of the mid-east. And it wont. There was no assurance made in regards to any exhibit. It was always about the conference, and just the conference. Because that is the only thing that the government can control. I dont think so. Sweden has never attacked any jewish property or vandalized their art.

Stranger things than ambassadors actually acting on a political agenda have happened you know.

In your example, yes, he is a victim since someone lured him in. Never said that, so please stop trying to put words into my mouth. Its not about victims or deliberates, its about victims and instigators. Usama Bin Laden is an instigator for example, as are most of the leaders and recruiters of terroristorganisations who pull other people into their circle of violence. Often at no cost of their own, but a high price of their victims (and the victims victims, if you will). Again, never said they did. You asked why she did it, I responded. Of course it can be insulting and very provocative. Its the entire point of that piece of art. That STILL does not give anyone the right to wreck it.

    The Middle East part 2

What do you call preventing a specific group of people from entering certain areas then? Or putting people in enclosed camps? Equally bad. But since they are a terroristorganisation, it is to be expected. Where as Israel is a country, with a legal government. Thats all public information. Its part of an ambassadors job to know what the heck he is visiting and who is arranging it. Yeah, freedom of speach sucks, I know. I am so sorry we dont restrict peoples opinions here, like I am sure you do in Israel by the tone of that remark. Bad taste does not equal anti-israeli. As for most peoples opinion, I am quite sure that most people here who can actually read the artists on comments and think for themselves would see that the artwork is not just anti-israeli. Its directed at the entire situation going on in Israel, and the injustices commited by both sides, and what result that brings. He is not excusing it. He is looking for an explenation to it. Why not? What is so bad about being jewish in Sweden? The fact that many Swedes object to the situation in Israel has nothing to do with how they view jews. Jews are just as equal as anyone else here, we dont give them special treatment, nor do we discriminate towards them.

ethnic cleansing n. The systematic elimination of an ethnic group or groups from a region or society, as by deportation, forced emigration, or genocide The Swedish government had nothing to do with the exhibit. It was an artistic project arranged in conjunction with the conference, but the government has no right or power to dictate what should or should not be put on display. As for not attending the conference because of the opinion of two artists. Its both childish and stupid. They had no reason to ask for its removal, since its not anti-Israeli. Its anti war, anti genocide, anti terror. Its made by an Israeli fod gods sake, I doubt he would promote the murder of his own family and friends. What you are saying here is that if I attend an art exchibit and upon entering I am not informed that I can be offended by the displays, I have a right to trash it? Hmmm... I wouldnt want to be an artist in Israel, since many people are easily offended and thus can wreck your work.

I said SHE, not all, or not suicide bombers in general. So no, not every suicide bomber is a victim. No, she acted out of fear, dispair, hate and malice. I think the point is that she felt she had to do it, because her and her families life was hopeless. Doesnt matter. There arent that many Israeli suicide bombers anyway. Which is part of the point in a way. You dont have to condone suicide bombers just because you are pointing out or trying to understand the reason for their existance. Yes, as did she. Which is also mentioned in the text tied to the pool of blood and the boat.

The difference being that Heinz was a trained soldier. And this suicide bomber was a quite normal young woman up until the point she decided to end her life by killing a bunch of civilians. She is much more a victim to the circumstances than Heinz would have been.

    Far cry's unscripted ai behaviour

People seem to have very different experiences with the AI My own impression is quite mixed. I have seen them to amazingly smart things, but also mindnumbingly stupid things. Most of the time though, they put up good resistance. Its all about how you play. If you rush them head on, most of the time, you are toast. Same thing if you get bogged down.

Crosshairs can be changed in preview version, so I assume it can be changed in final product. As for iron-sights, I can just agree. And I even told the developers. If they bothered to make an "almost iron-sight" they could have seen it all through, for good measure.

Like EiZei pointed out, that guy comitted a crime by doing what he did. Thus it wasnt art, but a criminal act.

The AI isnt perfect, but its much better than most games in the same genre. Its not supposed to be a realistic game, its just a FPS. Actually the maps can be much bigger than featured in the demo. There is no actual limit as far as I know. And of course you eventually end up in the same place. The level is from the singleplayer game, which is telling a story. So some locations are important for the story to evolve. Just like in the Flashpoint campaigns, there are always some locations you have to visit.
