How to activate a trigger when player takes damage?
lonesoldier replied to lonesoldier's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Thanks. However I have zero experience with event handlers. If you have the time could you give me a basic run down on how to use this event handler and have it play a sound? -
How to activate a trigger when player takes damage?
lonesoldier posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hi peeps, Did a search and had no luck. Basically I wan't to know how I can trigger a .ogg sound file I have where he says "taking fire!" when the player, or other playable characters (co-op mission) are hit? Any help appreciated. Thanks. -
How do I make a "tango down" sound whenever I eliminate an enemy?
lonesoldier posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Hi guys, I'm making a Rainbow Six-ish mission, and I'm just wondering how I have the "tango down" and "threat neutralized" sound play every time an enemy is eliminated by either me or a co-op buddy? And to have those two sounds randomly alternate. Any help would be appreciated. I am fairly amateur at mission editing, so I don't know much about scripting or even what kind of sound format these files would need to be. Thanks guys. -
Jeez, I havn't posted here in a long ass time. Anyway, What do y'all think of the idea of a STALKER style mission, set in a chernobyl aftermath style setting? Anyone got any cool idea's for it? I'm bored, so I decided to re-install Phlashpoint and work on a STALKER style setting.

CWC - Pretty freaking good. Although some missions weren't very good. RH - Shit. Didn't like it at all. Resistance - Killer. I loved the way you had to conserve everything, and collect weapons and ammo. Pretty good missions too. Although I HATE having to control other team members. I prefer to either play on my own, or be in a squad, but not as a leader. Overall... I'd say CWC is best.

Making a dog chase a unit

Thanks! -
Cuh-lord have mercy. That dog is fuckin' brilliant. Good work. Next animal's that should be made are: Wild Pigs(for hunting) Deer(for hunting) and Crocodile's, or Aligators. God damn, that would complete my life.

How? I got that new dog addon, and I need it to chase the player that gets detected by it. There are 4 players in the multiplayer mission, and I need to the dog to chase the player that is detected by it first. How would I do this?

WAHEY!!! 30 pages of complaints and bitching. Something you will only see on the BIS forums. You guys expect too fuckin' much. And when you get something as good as this, you all complain. I love the Island. Fucking brilliant. Good work.

Dude, not to be an asshole, but I agree with Lee. There is already a brilliant Tornado addon out at the moment. If you're going to make a Tornado then it HAS to be as good, if not better than the current one. If it isn't as good as the current one(I'm not saying it isn't!) then there is no incentive to use it at all. Get where I'm coming from dude? I'm not saying yours is shit, because it isn't. BUT, it isn't quite up to the standard that has already been set. After all, you've gotta listen to what the comunity says. The community are the ones that will use it. If you're willing to post it here, then you've gotta expect that people are gonna give feedback. Seriously, why post it here if you don't wanna read what people have to say about it?

Nope never been in trouble with it. This my PC anyway, so I do as I wish on it. I'm the only one in the house who knows how to use it, let alone turn it on. My mates don't even know that I play games. Hahaha.

Cuh-lord have mercy. Sweet jesus. That is fuckin' amazing.

Sorry, I don't understand what you just said?

The Frenchman. Go to your missions folder. Inside it create another folder called "music". In the music folder place your song. Then create a text file called "description.ext". In the description.ext put the following code: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">class CfgMusic {   class mysong   {     name = "mysong";     sound[] = {"mysong.ogg", db, 1.0};     titles[] = {0, $STRM_mysong};   }; }; Replace all of the occurences of "mysong" with the name of the song. Save the changed to the description.ext. Then go into your mission in flashpoint, and save the mission(for the changes to take effect). Viola - Your sound should now be displayed, and it should work. Any problems? Don't hesitate to ask.
