To often when I try to join a game I either get kicked, or the server bails out on me. If I do get to actualy make it through to a game, players start to leave with no new players joining to fill those gaps. The game is no fun with 2 players on a large map/mission. Other problems include having to wait for players/server ops to get situated (selecting players, getting ready, deselecting AI etc.) that It would be nice if players could take care of all this mess offline before joining. I'm sure you all have been there time and time again, so now is your chance to be heard--vote!

I would love to see more vehicles in the next release. I think that there should be an F-16, quad engine bobbers (I don't know the real name), more powere full choppers on the US side. I would settle for just one bomber--fully functional of course.

There was one person on my server that caused every player to die istantanious. This happened right at the start of the game where it would be absolutly impossible to seek out our chinook especially when we were on the other side if the map (miles and miles away). After this cheater wiped out all of my soldiers the moron left the game. If only games today could be coded to detect any cheat even ones that have not been created. One possible way to do this would be some kind of intergrated software where the games engine monitors every aspect of data. One could even develop some sort of mathmatical formula to calculate and detect impossible plays. One example of this concept would be the monitoring of a players position as well as direction. If the player is facing away from the enemy, yet the enemy is shot and killed, this would be an impossible feat and the player cheating would be kicked. Developers have to out smart the hackers and create an entire new way of handeling these lame idiots. I know, eiser said than done. Another option is to constantly provide code updates to always remain ahead fo the hackers, or atleast make it to where it would be a pain in the but to keep their hacks current. If the hackers want to code their junk, then so be it, but at least they could be glued to their seats scratching their heads looking for work arounds on a full time bassis.

I was messing around in the OFP editor and was trying to take a hellicopter named "chopper1" and then adding a triger to make it visible to follow the waypoint. My goal was to try to create a very simple semi air strike using no script. In the triger's "on activation field", what do I put here? the chopper1 presence is set to false and when the triger reaches the end of the count, say 5 sec., then I want the choper to be visible and starting the waypoint.

To much realism makes the game boring and if you want total realism, join the Army, just my opinion. To say that the navigation part of the game is not a problem, that is a problem over looked. I look at the game as a whole and have noticed that in just about every game I play people seem to never know where to go or what to do. Tell me you never saw a player leave the game because he cant find his team mate or has no Idea where the objective is located. What works for you my not work for others but a navigation system that could be toggled on or off from the client end would be I deal. If you want to constantly pause to look at the map and compass, you can, or what most people would do is use a HUDs display showing you your exact location in real time--if only it were a reality.

Thanks guys, I still think that OFP would be much better if it had a better system of letting the player know where they are at all times. Some of you aces are good at this kind of stuff, and I can even get where I need to be regardless but it sure would be nice if there was a on screen display to help take some of the headach of navigation out of the game.

BI - Please consider a GPS or radar option in future patches. It is so hard to play OFP because players in multiplayer games spend most of the time traviling in circles! With the scale of these maps, it is almost impossible to locate enemy targets without some kind of navigation assistance. A good Breifing and well marked map is somewhat helpful, but only if the objectives are short and simple. I think one of the best maps to date is city conflict because of the linear design. In the mean time, does anyone have any tips on how to get yourself back in the game if you traveled in the wrong direction for to long? Or how to get started in the right direction? Thanks!
