    Controls improvment

What about using a "wheel" for the action menu? Yes a lot of casual games use it but it's very hard to screw it up and it's easy to use. The only problem is that it's a little visually intrusive(tough I don't mind that, some people might). This could be used for commands too, you press a button and then while you keep it pressed you have the option to either use the classic keys to navigate it or using the mouse and a click to select the option you want, this would free the number buttons for weapon change. Also there should be a way to rearrange the order of the menus, so you can set an order for every action possible, if the action isn't available then some other that is and comes next on the order you choose should take it's place. This would be great for orders(and IMO easier to implement) but only a little useful for the action menu. Frankly, arma 2 controls aren't bad but only if you are already used to it. I remember the first time I played OFP, I tought the game was horrible because the controls were unintuitive and the animations jerky but once I got used to it it was ok, but I can't shake the feeling that I might very well have given up on the game if it weren't for the possibilities to use various vehicles(I was kind of young lol) but still, it might help people get into the game, specially if they find a way to simplify the ccontrols without actually changing anything. The main problem with the controls tough is that customizing the controls is a tough task, you have no idea what some things are for if you're a begginner and the only way that you could learn what it does is by finding out in the middle of a game that you assigned the wrong key to an action, some actions also look necessary when they are in fact redundant and there are so many controls that only work on specific situations that it makes trying each one of them in the middle of the game a task that needs LOTS of patience.

    music in arma

Frankly I don't like the ArmA series soundtrack too much. I think that, while the songs may not sound bad they do sound cheap and intrusive, like they don't fit the game or the cutscenes at all. I don't usually turn off music in games but after a while I ended up doing just that in the ArmA games. It's not just the soundtrack that needs to be better but the "music placement", sometimes it's better to not have music at all or just have some low key songs playing, and in combat if the song doesn't feel suitably epic it ends up being annoying and unnecessary. IMO, we should have most of the music in the game be mostly ambient or barely noticeable songs and when there's the need for something more epic I think it should be like this: K3pnZQFxKq0 g4aPMo7TcR8 I think both of these soundtracks have lots of songs in this style and I think it fits ArmA a lot and it'd be cool to have something like this in the game but it's just my opinion I don't mean to offend anyone ;)

I think we can all agree... optimization

I have to agree with the OP, there's got to be SOMETHING that will make ArmA 3 run better on a pc with max settings.

    AI Behaving wierdly

I never noticed the AI behaving like this, I don't know if this is something with new patches but I didn't play ArmA 2 for a year, and only recently started playing it again but I'm pretty sure the AI didn't react like this, they take more than a minute to board a vehicle or to heal and it's really bothering me. I'm used to the way AI in ArmA 2 works so I would have noticed if the AI acted like this in the past.
  5. The AI refuses to drive ANYTHING and they delay my orders A LOT, when I try to order medic to heal for example he acts like he were in Stealth or Danger stance, walks to the other side of where I am and then keeps standing up and going prone randomly. I've tried giving them different commands, asking them nicely and changing the stance then changing back but nothing seems to work. This didn't happen before.

    A few questions

I'm pretty sure I can run it, I just wanted to know if I needed to run it on lower settings.

    A few questions

Are there any more dlc's planned for ArmA 2? It's kind of hard for me to buy one every time it is released so I'm planning on buying then all along with the expansion, but if there are any more dlc's planned I may wait a little more. And, my pc isn't that great anymore and I'd like to know if OA is much heavier than ArmA 2 standalone. I know this is probably a question answered many times already so feel free to ignore it.

    Is this normal?

I already did the defragment thing a few days ago but thanks for the tip about video memory I never knew wich one to use :D

    Is this normal?

I think it's the number of units, just tried and "small" missions run great but bigger ones are nearly unplayable :(

    Is this normal?

Ah ok,I'll try it ^^ I'm not familiar with overclocking so that won't work for me(I'm thinking of getting a better processor,I hope it makes the game more enjoyable to me :( ) This is the first mission custom mission I've tried and the only one overall that I had a problem this big(the mission in the city of the campaign and the last one were slow too,but not like this one). I think total. The entire mission is in a small area(or atleast as far as I could play it). What I found funny is that the more the vehicles got destroyed and the soldiers died, the slowest it got, shouldn't it be the other way around?

    Is this normal?

No change with high very high settings and why should I use endmission? I mean,it'll make me go back to the menu and I won't be able to finish the mission(obviously). The menu runs way better tough.

    Is this normal?

I was playing(or trying to) a custom mission with about 20 infantry units and 5 or 6 vehicles and no cities around. It started very VERY slow but it was still playable. After a while tough it dropped A LOT,it was really unplayable(probably around 5 FPS). I tried the lowest settings possible and I couldn't notice any change. My computer settings: Intel core 2 duo e6600 2.40 GHz 4 gb ram nvidia 8800gtx 768mb My pc isn't great but I don't think it's just because of that since I can play basically any game with the options maxed out(or near it) including new ones. Can it be because of the big number of units on the mission? A shame if it is cause it will get kind of boring having to play only "small" missions like in the campaign. Also, while the campaign was much faster, there were some missions that were very slow too and I had the same problem with the lowest settings not improving the FPS(In this case it actually did improve but not as much as I'd have hoped). Thanks for the help and sorry about my english.

    Are these bugs?(Dogs of war)

I probably restarted the last mission I was on before patching, but not the whole campaign.

    Are these bugs?(Dogs of war)

I can't even skip the cutscene,I'm stuck in the game for good :( I can't believe I spent so much time on the campaign for nothing now that I can't get to the ending. Can anyone help me?

    Are these bugs?(Dogs of war)

I do have the last patch(I have the steam version so I think it's autopatched) and the last drivers. My pc isn't that great anymore but it's good enough and I can run 90% of the games with everything maxed out and while I can't do that on ArmA 2 it's still playable with some slowdowns when I'm walking around most towns in the game(especially the capital). One thing I heard is that the improvements of the patches don't work on an ongoing campaign and since I got the last patch I didn't start from 0,could this be the reason? Anyway, thanks for the help ^^
