    Rappeling

The two games scrpts are supposed to be cross-compatable are they not? And I've seen a scenario where this was used in a mission once...
  2. Can someone tell me how to do rappeling? I've tried this on ym own. I named a UH-60 chopper1 and had a script run when the chopper reached it's waypoint. When the passengers get ejected from the vehicle, they end up on the farthest bottom left corner of the map in the water, ansd the ropes also don't appear. Im pretty sure I installed it correctly. Here is the script I executed in the on activation field: [chopper1] exec "Rappel\rappel.sqs" Does anyone know what the problem is?
  3. Okay, just to make this clear, I am a complete noob. And to clarify another thing, I have tried this a countless ammount of times. What I want to know is: How do I get started on editing missions!? The in-built editor is good and all that, but I cant seem to be able to input scripts into my missions, and I loathe the so called 'construction points'. Please, o otherworldly skilled scripting gods, tell me step-by-step how I could... Say... Get the Patrol In Building script to work on a mission I created in the editor, or how to initialize Group Link II. I looked inside the Missions folder, the missions I downloaded seemed an entirely different format than the ones that came with ArmA and that I exported from the editor. Is this a OP Flash backwards-compatability thing!? Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    SQF revive script

I remember there is (or was) something on Ofpec that somehow makes paramedics carry the dead away between them as if on a stretcher... I'm not sure how this would work, and I can't test it because I'm getting a computer that can play ArmA. ... Yep, it's Units & Groups of the Editor's Depot. Look somewhere near the middle-bottom. http://ofpec.com/ed_depot/resource_list.php?type=sc&cat=ug

    SQF revive script

I've been dearly and enthusiastically awaiting something like this, but could you tell me the specifics on how it works? Here's the picture I get: Say... Two BLUFOR troopers are advancing up a street littered with corpses, smoking vehicle wrecks and such. Their mission is to create a distraction while their teammates flank from a back alley. The first squints through the smoke and identifies a soldier taking aim at him but has no time to raise his weapon aand is shot in the head and dies instantly. The second soldier is shredded by the hail of gunfire but sustained shots only on arms/legs/not-critical-areas. He hits the deck screaming for a medic, and lo and behold, cover fire erupts from downrange and surpresses the enemy position. A paramedic quickly rushes over to aid the wounded amn out in the middle of the street. He pulls the body over to within the cover of a dumpster and begins work. It is too late for the mans partner. After a while of bandaging etc. The soldier picks up his rifle and is combat-ready again. /end anecdote Either way, I don't think it would be very logical for a soldier to survive being blown up with an armor piercing RPG round while inside a vehicle, as i'm not sure that there would be much left to heal. I think it would be better served if it worked sortof like Battlefield 2. Headshots kill everytime while body/arm shots... It depends. Awesome script BTW, I could never do anything like that. I look forward to trying it out upon purchase of my new computer.
