When do you use this? Every 30 min? When your FPS starts to drop? I have to keep my settings really low to avoid the oh, so popular 8000700e error. I'd love to be able to keep my settings on high and just use the flush command. Problem is I don't know when to use it, and if I have to use it too often, I won't bother raising my settings.

Default should be under option > video > advanced > textures. I had the texture loading issue with guns as well. I thought it was just slow but it didn't load after 2 minutes. Re-installing everything from scratch(deleting atari folder before reinstalling) fixed it for me.

I'm on an 8800. Â If you're having problems with surface error( 8007000e), and maxmem doesn't work, try disabling AA. I was having the error every 30min-an hour or so but once I turned off AA, all was fine. Â Hope it helps everyone else.

The reason it's hard for you to move/zoom in the map is because the map is constantly updated. Â Your video card should be able to run arma fine, especially if all your settings are on low. Ram looks ok. My best guess is your CPU. Â It's default clock is 2ghz, and I don't think this game will run properly with that. I've heard of P4's running this fine but they're upwards of 3+ ghz. This is just a guess as I have no experience with that chip. Â My advice is to reinstall, and if it's not fixed, think about purchasing a new chip or new rig.

Never heard of this before. Your system specs would be helpful. Also, have you tried lowering your video settings as low as possible? If you have a middle to top line PC, lowered your video settings, and still getting extremely long map loading, you may have to try a clean reinstall.

Is the error "Cannot create surface texture"? My maxmem is set to 512, which only delayed the crashing, it didn't completely stop it. Try turning off AA. For somereason turning AA off has, for the moment, resolved any crashing, and I used to crash every hour or so.

ArmA VBS2 Mod???? What is this???

Wow sex... This would make vehicles alot more fun. -
What do you want them to say? "Would you mind slinging a projectile at that gentlemen over there?" Ever hear of combat morale?
-
Nice video. The tracers look awesome; however, I'm confused. Will these tracers work anywhere as long as it's in the addon's folder, or does the mission have to specifically have a line in it to enable this addon for it to work?
-
Should be able to press 6(action button) and then there will be a list of things that you can order your AI to do. One of them should be rearm at ####, provided you're near an ammo crate or something.

Wow..just wow. Is the radio chatter random?

Joystick Sensitivity Adjusments in v1.02 Patch

Regular X-52 owner here.(Not the pro version) My throttle works good with choppers. 50% holds it at stable altitude. Punch it to 100% and I rocket up and pull back to 0 to decend rapidly. The 25%~75% responds as well. Maybe you have a custom profile activated? I don't have much experience with the X-52 profiles so I can't say. My only complaint is the odd controling due to the odd center of gravity on the aircrafts/choppers compared to flight sims. -
I already have TrackIR but I'm interested in how it performs as well. Pretty cool stuff. Is it accurate? Does it bug out often?
-
I believe it's because you cannot target unmanned vehicles. You'll have to do it without the target signs.
-
Have you tried giving them specific targets and then telling them to fire(menu > engage > fire)? Â I'm guessing you tried engage at will and all that since you said "no matter what I did." Â It might just be a bug. Â Â Have you tried reloading from a previous point? Â Might be tedious, but you might have to restart the mission.

Yeah I agree. Â Usually admins ban those who TK, but sometimes admins arn't around! Â That, and unfortunately admins can't ban people for not working as a team.. I was playing on an evolution server recently and some guys were teaming up, so I joined up and got on TS and all that. Â It was just awesome. Â We weren't super ogranized since we just met, but it really gave me a taste of what clans do. Â Even though it was a very small taste, that's what really motivated me to look for a clan. So, like above poster/posters said, try looking for a clan. Edit: Hm..I think you already have a clan? If you do...next step is to stay away from pubs I guess..

Instead of working on a contribution to the community, they'd rather bash other people who's worked long and hard to contribute to the community. Haven't learned how to deal with jealousy, perhaps? Come up with something that's even as good as even one chapter of Dslyecxi's work and maybe you guys will gain some credibilty. Â I stress the word maybe, and I use the word gain very loosely..

Should send him an email stating just that.

I stopped playing ARMA altogether, because of the lack of non-COOP servers... But what is "Evolution"? Yep, I've also stopped playing for that same reason. Â Coop is almost as boring as the small CTF maps where you're all boxed in wolfenstein 3D style. I think I just totally don't get the ArmA online community. With the exception of RTS, nothing is remotely close to enjoyable. Yet, I think I am in the minority so I'll just stfu. I'm glad some people enjoy it. Have you tried playing with a group? It can get pretty dull if you pop into an Evolution server, or any server, and go around by your self. Coordinating, planning, and killing with a squad, imo, is what makes this game orgasmic.

I, personally, prefer the dirty optics as well. Specially the binoculars! Since the only thing soldiers can get dirty with is blood, I think the dirty optics/binoculars kind of set the mood.
-
Just to clarify. If you have US version of ArmA, it will be under Atari/ArmA/AddOns instead of Bohemia Interactive. Happy gaming.
-
Team Survival is essentially just TDM but without the respawns, like you said. It doesn't necessarily have to be CQB, but I think most games that incorporated team survival had CQB. This should be good. I had alot of fun with Team Surival in other games.

objects in the editor will not align properly

My respect for missions makers and editors just went up a notch. I'm horrible with the editor. The only thing I really do is set up a bunch of Camel's somewhere and have my own little dog fight against the AI. -
I do so hate that use of stats. Â The same calculation that is used to describe the losses in the music industry as the games industry. Â It's total tosh. Just because 100 people downloaded/copied the game does NOT mean 100 lost sales for whoever. Â Those people may not have had any intention of buying the game in the first place, in which case nobody's lost anything. Â Indeed, they may have downloaded it and never even installed it. I've downloaded music to listen to before, according to the argument above that means people have lost money. Â No, they haven't because if I couldn't of downloaded it I wouldn't have bothered with it at all. Â So they wouldn't have had the sale anyway. If I do want/like a particular album/game I'll buy it. Now, before you all jump on your flame wagons I am NOT condoning piracy. Â It is wrong. Â I'm just pointing out that the method used to calculate losses due to piracy is inherently flawed and artificially inflates the amount of the losses. I am not saying that there aren't ANY losses due to piracy, there quite clearly are. Â It's just the figures are incorrect. Got U.S Version here so that's +1 to whatever the final count is. I sort of agree on some of your points, but just for arguments sake. Â Plus I'm kind of curious in your opinion. Â I've honestly never heard anyone comment about it as you did. So 100 people who could have bought the game and "thanked" the devs for their efforts decided to DL it for free. Â Wouldn't this mean a loss for BIS? Â A potential sale that was lost. Therefor, a loss in money. Â Not from an exact figure, but potential income. Â That's all the market is these days anyway, potential, atleast in my opinion. Â People who develop or produce things want profit to continue what they're doing(and live, ofcourse), and every potential customer they lose to free DLing is a loss in potential sales which translates to a loss in income. Notice how I stress potential. Does the intent to get something for free not take away from the potential figure? Why wouldn't it in your opinion?
