What game campaign have you gone back to complete multiple times?
kernriver replied to jeza's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
I've recently replayed Commandos: BEL, Beyond the call of duty and Commandos 2. For inspiration before playing I watched Where Eagles Dare, Kelly's Heroes and The Dirty Dozen. :D -
I got it too. :D

To all the complainers: you have the right to complain. But think about this for a second: if BI didn't have a (great) habit of releasing "lite" DLC content in their patches for free, you wouldn't have anything to complain about in the first place.

Upcoming tactical shooter from Blackfoot Studios: Ground Branch
kernriver replied to Tactical Jerky's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Good article. I think BFS should emphasize more the fact that several (at least two) co-op modes will be in the first release, since I get the feeling, reading comments on the RPS article, that is what lot of people want. -

kernriver replied to Tactical Jerky's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Exactly. At least they have some early stage developement footage to show, which in itself is an achievement, IMHO. Regarding co-op, which is my main interest, there will be some co-op modes on release. Here are some posts from BFS forum: Taken from: http://www.blackfootstudios.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5851entry102999 Taken from: http://www.blackfootstudios.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5851entry103036 Now, how many of you have played good old Terrorist hunt in Raven Shield over and over? I know I did. :) I'm an avid OFP/ArmA/Arma2, and soon Arma3 fan(boy), hell a few days ago I preordered the latest Arma2 DLC, no questions asked, but I am also genuinely excited about Ground Branch. -

Guys, does OS have to be installed on SSD, or just Arma? What are the benefits of having both installed on SSD? I'm asking this because those SSDs are pricey, so I want to get one as cheap as possible. For example 128GB vs 64GB...is the latter enough for Arma2/3? -

Pledged. ARMA3 & Ground branch = no need for any other game on my HDD. EDIT: Well, maybe SWAT4 :o -
Too much muzzle flash and reload animations?
kernriver replied to DemonMustang's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Regarding tactical reload (30+1 bullet), while it wouldn't be the end of the world if it wasn't in the game, I think it should be in just for the sake of realism; it's what happenes IRL when you do tactical reload. -
I will do that....when super awesome medic simulation is confirmed :p

I think it's worth mentioning that it makes a world of difference when a native English speaker is commenting the videos. A world of difference. So, great job, Jay. I hope I will not get crushed by Lord Buchta's mighty arms for thiskldrjiokjozk....*thump* ;)

Are you going to upgrade because of ARMA 3?
kernriver replied to Resilient's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Geforce GTX 275, but I'm not going to upgrade, it'll have to do. -
Are you going to upgrade because of ARMA 3?
kernriver replied to Resilient's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
CPU: AMD 6000+ 3.0 GHz RAM: 2 GB DDR2 OS: WinXP I guess I will have to upgrade on both fronts, but not before the release and not before I do this: .... EDIT: Come to think of it, I would have to upgrade WinXP before release, I don't expect alpha will run on that, right? -
What games got you into tactical gaming?
kernriver replied to Sierra117's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Hidden & Dangerous 1 -
I have a question about graphics card. I have GeForce GTX275 896MB, what possible DX11 features would I be missing? (if there will be dx11 support) That CPU won't go into that socket.

Defraggler. ;)

I thought that too. Well, I might get it just to have a separate map edition. -

What's the point of playing Vanilla Style?
kernriver replied to matty1053's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
What's the point of playing Vanilla Style? For the community that likes to say that you can play BIS games any which way you want, that's an odd question. Yes, I play vanilla mostly (with CWR2). Sue me. :p -
But, mate, every nut and bolt have to be in the right place, or you wouldn't be able to play the game at all. Just take a look at this, the horror: @ 7:43 Ivan Buchta: "The boat we are looking at is fictional, but it was designed to look as authentic as possible." :butbut: AFAIK, nobody complained about that. Yet.
