Oh! What model did you use? Or did you make a new one? Very interesting!!
-
And you call yourself a member of the RHS - a Russian addon studio! Haven't you seen this unit before? It's kind of old actually...
-
Alright... is this a permission to modify the RHS infantry/GRU addons??? (that is - to add ICP weapons) I can do that - no problem. BTW - how are you doing guys? P.S. No one is saying that you should "chuck away all the good work of Totmacher" - it could be "an early final version" of your Russian/Soviet infantry (RHS units+ICP weapons). This way you could find out if there are any bugs - I'm sure players would find some, and we all wouldn't have to wait another two months for a new AK pack. Later you could probably release "a very final version" - bugfree and with new RHS weapons, whenever they are ready. Well, it's just a thought. Have a good day!
-
The final version - how big would it be?
-
The Soviet\Russian ICP weapon pack would be a perfect "temporary choice", I think. It's a little strange that you guys have to wait (and make all of your fans wait) for your own weapon pack when there already is one excellent weapon pack made by a different team... RHS units + ICP weapons - that's what I would call a "logical" and not a "nationalistic" decision. Â
-
a better model.... and a Patriot TMD.
-
It looks kind of strange... How come it's right next to a US carrier?

...that was going on in the USSR was one HUGE national tragedy. The truth is, that Mig-25 wasn't stolen - it was its pilot's only way to escape from Russian communists... it was his "Green Card", you know? I think it was Reagan's administration that had decided to renovate three of those battleships… Each "renovated" vessel didn't cost as much as a single new US destroyer, and it definitely has a LOT more firepower than "Kirov". Here's what was added: - Tomahawk and Harpoon missiles (much better than those obsolete anti-ship missiles which "Kirov" has). - various anti-missile systems (to destroy those ancient Russian anti-ship missiles ) - a few other things, like better electronics, new radars etc. But you are right – these battleships have already retired from active duty. Unlike "Kirov". As to those UK mini carriers… well, it's hard to tell – how many bombs did Argentinean pilots drop on the UK fleet? How many of those bombs successfully hit their targets but didn't detonate? Were Argentinean pilots able to sneak pass the UK air patrols and get close enough to fire or drop something nasty? Answer these questions and then tell me if a mini carrier is a good choice or not. Best wishes! -
- I always wanted to ask this – why "RED Hammer Studio"? Is it because of the official campaign "Red Hammer?" In this case you are violating the copyright of the campaign's title. Baaad Red Hammer Studio! You know, on the Soviet National Emblem the hammer and the sickle were yellow. The star was red, but the rest of the symbols were yellow… So it should be "The Yellow Hammer Studio", right? I think this title sounds much better. ;) Believe me, a lot of players are very upset because you have not release anything on the 23rd of February. In fact some are crying, others are cursing, and all want to start killing kittens and babushkas until you release something for the 9th of May – The Victory day. Have a wonderful day!

Something you said before - "About us carrier group.US ships are not so filled with weaponary like russian ships." > First, I didn't say that a US carrier would be able to destroy an entire battle group. I said that an American super carrier would be able to destroy an entire Russian fleet. A battle group is a peace of cake. As to "so full-of-weapons" rushkie boats… well, let's talk about "Missouri" Battleship. I don't think the US Navy still has these juggernauts, but "modern" American battleships had more firepower than any Russian combat vessel, and they didn't cost as much. - "Kirov class heavy cruiser: nuclear powered, the biggest and strongest ship in the world, it has armor, no other ship has it!!! His weaponary is so deadly, russians mounted on it even newest S-300 rockets" > I'm surprised they didn't put a propeller on the damn thing so that it could fly too. Alright, one more time - "Missouri" has plenty of armor. And there are other "armored" combat ships in the US Navy, it ain't something exceptional, you know. By all means, "Kirov" ain't the strongest ship in the world, and I'm sure you remember what happened to one famous "biggest ship in the world" – Titanic. You should not believe in everything Russian military officials say – they lie all the time. Oh, I just thought of something – remember that famous incident when one guy from Germany landed his Cessna at the Red Square in Moscow? That was one of the funniest things I've ever heard. I mean, c'mon, Rushkies used to brag about their super-duper SA aa missile systems, and how their airspace was safe from any WESTern attack, and then they had managed to let not some sneaky F-117 but a civilian airplane cross the borders of Mother Russia and land in the very heart of Moscow!! Those SA-300 didn't help much, did they? God bless America! -

Lithuanian??? Oh, I see what you mean by that. Well, no, not really, unfortunately, I'm not a Lithuanian. I wish I was. They are a great nation! My grandaddy was a major too. It's good to see we have something in common. I am not saying I know everything, as to those little UK carriers... well, this info is 100% correct. some UKF members will be pissed, but it's the truth. Just some basic info for ya – about those "mighty" Migs and SUs in real life:> More than 50 Mig-21s were shot down in the 1972 Linebacker strikes during the Vietnam War. In July 1970 fearless Israeli fighters lured 16 Russian-flown Mig-21FMs into an ambush and shot down four of them without loss. In June 1982 two US Navy F-14s were challenged by a pair of Libyan Su-22s over the Gulf of Sidra. The Tomcats destroyed the Su-22s using aim-9 missiles in a very brief engagement. The scenario was repeated in 1991 when a pair of F-14s shot down two Libyan mig-23s. As you may or may not know, during the First Gulf War my favorite combat jet F-15 was the Coalition's primary Air-to-Air fighter and scored 35 victories. No fighter in history has matched the F-15's  90 to Zero kill-to-loss ratio, achieved in numerous air battles over the Middle East. F-16s flown by courageous Israeli and American pilots have shot down over 80 enemy fighters, but no F-16s have been lost in air-to-air combat. F-18s destroyed at least two Iraqi Migs in the Gulf War with no air-to-air losses. On at least one occasion F-18s bombed ground targets and engaged enemy fighters in the course of a single sortie. Sure, Mig-29 carries big missiles, however, it has very poor range – only 350 miles. Mig-29 was followed by the Mig-29S, but the range is still less than most operators want. And it's not the only serious drawback of the Mig-29. -
Well, ask yourself - did that sound offensive? I've checked my posts and everything else other players had said about new marines - nobody demands anything. That is why I am pretty sure that it was your post that was a bit insulting. Think before you post something or face the consequences.
-
First - you sound a little angry, what's wrong? Second - my info is always extremly accurate. 3rd - what dreams? I don't get it. Speak Englsih bro.
-
Whenever I read posts like this one, I always think about dogs... they are so smart
-
What the heck is that?!! Who the heck is still using BAS anyway? And why can't you download the correct version of Laser's US Special Forces??? There's only ONE version of them so far - it shouldn't be too hard to find... And what's "upteen update"? - you know bro.. you might want to rephrase that. Were you thinking about HYK US infantry or something?

BTW - Thank you very much for the info Now back to our discussion. You are right - it is a symbol… a symbol of Russian incompetence. A long time ago, when the Soviets could actually build whatever they wanted, someone in the Navy General Staff had decided that Super Carriers were too expensive and vulnerable, and so Rushkies started building smaller "mini-carriers", like the ones the UK forces had during the Falklands war. That was a grave mistake. Those small British carriers were pretty much useless – they couldn't even defend their own battle groups effectively. Obviously, if the USSR would ever challenge the US dominance of the high seas, the Soviet Navy would be obliterated – American super carriers would be able to provide adequate protection of their battle groups, wipe out those not numerous Russian air superiority navy fighters, and then… the battle would be over 'cause both sides of the conflict would use nukes. But the point is – when Russians had a chance to build their own fleet of real super carriers, like Nimitz, they wasted it and instead made a bunch of less expensive, but also a whole lot less combat effective "mini-carriers". And this BIG Russian super carrier is like that silly "Buran" space shuttle – it does look pretty, but basically it's a waste of your taxpayers' money. As to those huge and "well-armed" Soviet ships... well, you know, "bigger" does not always means "better". In the XXI century bro - air superiority is the key and Russains don't stand a chance. -

Well... that's what forums are for - to argue and discuss things. -
Placebo... everything I post here does not harm the RHS mod in any way. At least I don't see how my posts would harm anyone. In fact I am just trying to help RHS. When they were looking for some fire scripts for their RPOs, I tried my best to find a good script for them... If they would need something else which I could do, I'd be glad to help them again. But if YOU say that my post are harmful, and for the sake of this new camo of the new Su-25 I won't bother RHS again... for a while. I kind of doubt that this mod has a future anaway.

I don't know much about the rest of the jets you have mentioned but during the First Gulf War Iraqi Mig-29s and Mig-25s panicked and "ran away" every time they thought that Tomcats were nearby. It's a well-know fact. And Su-33 (basically a modified Su-27) is not as good as Mig-29. -

Keller_777 replied to ramboofp's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
LOL. Well, okay, if you say so, bro, only if YOU say so. Â A US carrier group would probably take out a whole Russian fleet - like the one in Sevastopil'. Rushkies have hardly any training, their jets are too old and are no match for the US combat jets. And the worst things - Russain moral is VERY low. Nobody wants to go and die for some fat cat in Moscow these days. -
Oh hell, first I'm a "spammer", then I'm "SELFISH"... Â Okay, I AM selfish. Â But no matter what you say bro - the rhs ARE really slow. Is that a "deadly sin"? Nope. But do I like it? Nope. Heh, well, I am an "OFP Pirate" - so I may know a few things about addons.
-
Or what. The mighty US Air Force had an outstanding 17 to 1 kill rate during the Vietnam War (its later half). And the VC (or whatever they are) had Migs. So let's talk about Russian "air superiority," shall we? During the first Gulf War there was a case when two US F-15s (which were low on fuel) had to engage two Iraqi Mig-29s. Both Mig-29s were destroyed VERY quickly. And the most interesting thing is that Iraqi SAMs were trying to take out the Eagles while they were fighting those Migs… In fact Iraqi Mig-29s could not destroy a single US combat plane during that war. Russian players do like to brag about their "highly advanced" combat jets, but an air show is one thing, and real combat is another. Someone would say that Iraqi pilots were not well-trained and could not rely on their ground command-and-control centers (which were destroyed) – that is why their Mig-29s couldn't show what they are really capable of. Yeah, a bad dancer always blames his shoes. But Russians did say a number of times that their Mig-29s were SO good that even an average pilot could show absolutely astonishing results. Hmm… the US military engineers say that Mig-29 is one of "the best jets to win a fight above your own airfield" – the Mig-29 has hardly any fuel, even the upgraded version. And what do we see here? SeaDemon's Mig-29 in the hands of AI pilots can take out anything – ground and air targets alike. Just for test purposes I've made a simple mission – four F-15s vs three mig-29s. Migs won three times in a row. I think they've lost a single jet once. After the third round I was tired of this game. This is not acceptable. I understand that certain addonmakers AND players have something I call a "post-Soviet patriotic syndrome", but the truth is – the NATO was always superior.

Well, actually there's not. Choppers can land on carriers just fine, but not airplanes. It's the "gear bug", that's the thing that will prevent you to land on an aircaft carrier. Oh, so you are an advocate of the "balanced gameplay", right? Very interesting. Let me see… Rushkies have fully-functional SCUDs – are you or anyone other Russian addonmaker are going to add some "Lance" or "Pershing" missiles to the WEST to balance things? I kind of doubt that. Aircraft carriers are the privilege of the WEST. In real life Russian aircraft carriers suck, and you know it! They only have a few of them and they are no match for the mighty US Navy. Period. End of discussion. No, I'm just kidding. Of course you can make whatever you want. But then you or someone else would have to make units like Ka-29 and modify the SF Su-27 – make it "carrier based" Su-33. It's not an easy project, and it's very time-consuming. Just keep that in mind before you rush in and announce a bunch of Russian Naval units you are "working on", okay? I hate people who can't keep their word. Best wishes! -
Provocation??? Lol. Okay, here we go: "Red Hammer Studios (further called RHS) is the name of our group. It was formed to create a series of addons brining (sic) the greatest military inventions of the highly regarded Soviet and Russian scientists in-game. Our aim is to bolster OFP's underdeveloped East side. To do this, we will implement in-game Soviet and modern-Russian technologies... blah, blah, blah" Well, if the RHS was the only group making Soviet\Russian addons, then the East side would still be very much "underdeveloped". I have to admit that the RHS didn't say that they are promising to make addons non-stop all day long and release them one after another for years to come. That is why I'm not "whining" or "demanding" anything – instead I'm just trying to urge them to "redouble their efforts", basically work just a little faster than they do now. Is that really SO bad? because no matter what some of you may say about their "social life", it seems that Laser is the only active and hardworking member of this group, and all the rest are either too busy drinking Vodka and dating (is that what you call "social life"? ) or are no longer interested in OFP… In fact Laser is probably the busiest member of the RHS, and yet he is only member of this highly regarded group who has actually completed his share of work in time. T-55s and T-64s - These tanks are fantastic! But they were released so long ago… and by all means I don't think that the obsolete T-55s and the T-64s are "the greatest military inventions of the highly regarded Soviet and Russian scientists" – there are several other units which the RHS had started working on a long time ago but never finished them. You should visit Russian OFP forums from time to time - many folks there basically think that the RHS is dead. As to "0 useful info" -I suppose you could say the same thing about 90% of post on this forum. Brine - to brine – brining - "Pickled" addons? BTW - no release for Christmas (that snowmobile is a WW2 unit - useless) No release for the 23 of February - the Red Army day And no release for Easter - or the Soviet Red bunny will be a little late this year?

What??!! Bloody communists!! Okay, then the creators of this Abrams M1A2 SEP have to make it even MORE powerful!
