Don't be surprized when a publisher or producer trys to milk a successful product made by one of their developers. Â It's common for a publisher to own the licensing rights of the developer's work in the same way record labels own the songs of the artists. Â It can get ugly though if the developer feels mistreated. Â Bioware sued then ended their contract with Interplay becuase they felt they were not receiving their royalties from the games using the Infinity Engine which Bioware developed for Baldur's Gate. Â For Bis, i don't know what their contract allows, but they should be getting something from the expansions.
