I bought the euro version of OFP when it first came out. After several months of being too busy to play, I just re-installed it a few days ago. Overall, multplayers (especially with the new MP test) works just fine. But a few times, I have joined servers and then I start seeing the "original games do not fade" message, and shortly after that, I lose the session. Is it possible that someone has generated a cd key - my cd key ... and I am joining a server where that person is playing? It is starting to get annoying...and I don't want people thinking I pirated the game. I have the manual and the DVD-style case if you need me to prove I own it.

I dunno, but that's not the case here, because currently I'm the only workstation on my network and I recently reformatted. ;) This is the first time flashpoint has been installed in the current system.

Nope, nope and nope. The only 'unofficial' thing installed is the user-created maps most servers run. And the message appears the first time I join a server. I have also used the OFP Check program before installing updates, and checked the logs of the updates. All seems fine. =/

When I installed the beta, it DID place a OFP MP Beta shortcut on my desktop!

I am on a cable connection (measured speed: equivalent to a DS-2 connection), and MP has significantly improved for me. Â I used to average pings of about 180-400 ms, and I now average between 35-180 ms (this is using Sockets). Â I have seen a definite decrease in lag and latency problems, faster loading time on the server in all areas (team selection, briefing, game start, etc.) and this is especially noticeable when I am piloting/driving a vehicle. Â It all has run great for me. Â I miss the built-in voice comms though. The only bad thing I have really noticed, is that the servers seem to crash quite often. Yes, I voted above. I'm running Windows XP Pro on a 933MHz Pentium III with 384MB RAM and a 64MB GeForce3 Ti200...internet connection is cable routed through a NAT server and into my 200mbit in-home network. I have no problems connecting. Â I haven't tried hosting a game to the outside of my internal network...but if I did, the OFP server program would be installed on my internet/web server anyways, which is outside the NAT server.
