Hi BIS Any chance of sorting out the problems we Radeon users have had to put up with since 1.75 ? i.e. Flashing white textures on landscapes and models and especially the windows of vehicles. This flickering appears to be random, I'm using the latest drivers. And I've tried pretty much every fix there is to no avail. Including searching the forums for related topics and the Avon ladies faq. Please help, I know I'm not the only one. My System Athlon 1.2 Audigy Gamer Radeon 8500 512 ram Windows Xp with SP1

Thanks Riot, I've heard of this fix/ but I'd really like to play with t and l enabled (as I'm sure you would) because it takes a load of the cpu and makes things a little smoother. Wasn't this bug introduced with 1.75 ? I'm sure all was well before then.

Please take note of my post "Flashing white textures ", which seems to be a bug that was introduced with 1.75 affecting the Radeon series of 3d cards. Thanks Killian

Hi, I have an annoying problem with the textures flashing white seemingly at random, both the landscape and models (Weapons in particular and vehicles). I've searched high and low for an answer both on the faq here and avon ladies faq but to no avail. The game is still playable but the flashing textures are a distraction and annoying. I'm using all the latest drivers. I'm using the latest patch (1..85), this problem has been ongoing since I installed resistance (1.75). I've tried a clean install etc. Even formatted and reinstalled XP. My sys specs are: Athlon 1.2 512 ram ATI Radeon 64mb Windows Xp Creative Audigy Do any other Radeon owners Have/had this problem ? Is there a fix that I can easily implement. BIS ? Is this a legitimate bug for yourselves to address ? I have spoken to other Radeon owners who experience the same problem so I'm definetly not alone.

Also another amazing game years ago was called Carrier Command, Amiga and PC, I don't think many people will know about this game, but there was 2 futuristic Aircraft carriers and a massive map 100 Island, the idea was to track down the enemy Carrier while setting up a supply infrastructure, it was really amazing...far to complex to explain...<span id='postcolor'> Hehe, I remember Carrier Command, it's one of my all time favourite games. I used to have it for my Spectrum 128 I found it totally engrossing, and it's what got me into sims in the first place. Ahhhhhh those were the days ....................

Actually it isn't, Meningitis is the inflammation of the brain Meninges. Trust me, im in the medical profession. You'll notice that anything ending in ITIS ie. Appendicitis, Laryngitis etc Means "Inflammation of" Its a medical terminology. And so Appenicitis means inflammation of the appendix.

Yeah Planetside looks extremely good. Graphics are to die 4, but I agree that I wouldn't pay a monthly fee. Fook That ! Jeez, games in the UK cost enough as it is. And advocatexxx, why the hell would you wanna be stuck in the cube ? LOL, ur insane. You'd get diced into tiny pieces in minutes :-) unless you have a spare boot to chuck in (Made me laugh on the film that did lol). Back on topic though, I hope the new netcode for resistance rocks, will they release a patch for us too test the netcode with the original game? I would have thought they would. Resistance isn't far off either.

Yeah, I know about that LordZach, it sounds cool, and I'm gonna get it. But what I was talking about is a massively muliplayer online game of flashpoint. Basically a virtual war. If u know wot i mean.
-
I've recently started to play OFP online again, since the netcode has improved (slightly, but maybe that's becos I have a measly 64k isdn connection). I will be getting ADSL soon so hopefully it will improve. But imagine, for a moment a dynamic online Flashpoint world, doing what world war 2 online failed to do, I think this is the future for flashpoint, the possibilities are countless. It would be so Sweeeeeett (Drools). Flashpoint has been extremely succesful, so I assume that there will be a sequel, pherhaps using a modified version of the original engine and advanced netcode. Anyone else agree. ? Thought I'd post anyway cos the board seems to be drying up a little ;-)

Ummmm Let's see. Dynamic campaign is a great idea, i'd love to see that. The ability to rapel from helicopters. Make the aircraft more of a simulation to fly so it takes some skill. Make servers joinable mid-game. Have online campaigns, with respawning ala DOD where you will respawn after the side has received reinforcements. Trenches. Ability to play different nationalities and their respective weapons/vehicles. That'll do for now, not easy things to implement, but this is a wishlist :-)

Hi, im running windows XP as well, and I am also getting the second mouse pointer bug. Bit annoying as it means either changing the resolution or minimising the game, both of which can cause graphical glitches. And one more thing, any chance of EAX 2.0 support ? To make the most of my Soundblaster Audigy. Effects like Occlusion whilst in vehicles etc, would be great !
