  1. Your menu issues in Warfare look like the server was completely overloaded and couldn't cope. As far as I've seen, I've not experienced such a lag in menu and actions

Actually, I was trying it offline with AI only when this happened. Maybe the mission got screwed up, because the lag remained after restart and resume.

Oh well, the RV engine is pretty complex and shit happens I guess :D

  2. Already have. I think its just your graphics card.

How do you figure? Like I was saying, everything is clearly visible when I switch to NV, but after a few seconds it fades to black. It's clearly a HDR issue. It is too exaggerated! Noticed how everything glows? Seriously? Check the official screens. It is not my 7950GTX card :j:

  3. - Make HDR optional!

HDR freaks out!!!! Night gets frustrating as everything goes pitch black but the blurry stars in the sky. Unplayable.

    - New AI order: KEEP TO ROADS ONLY!

Even in SAFE, AI driving skills are out the window. They can't even keep on a straight road without ending up offroad, dodging trees and what not. If you can't program the AI to handle complex scenery, then hire someone who can.

    - Menus in Superpower/Warfare are too sluggish!

After a while, it takes minutes for the list to appear in the buy menu. Same goes for fast travel. I recently made the mistake clicking a fast travel node several times because nothing happened, and whoops a few minutes later it suddenly kicks in while I was off doing something else. Horrific

Also, I assume these are not FADE symptoms because I have a legal 505 copy and I do not use some NODVD crack.

  4. It's the same engine but with more features. I guess both use shader model 2.0 and 3.0?

Unfortunately, because of CPU limitations and increased AI complexity, I can't run ARMA 2 with the same quality I run ARMA. I have to disable all post/AA and lower the resolution. However, when running in windowed 1280x on my 1920x display it looks sharp and clear, and with good fps.

    Just a hint "-window".

  5. Came to think of it. Are there civilians in Superpower/Warfare? I didn't notice any my first test run. Would be neat if you could ask around in town if they seen anything suspicious recently. Maybe it's just a campaign feature?

Oh.. (off topic) it would be even more awesome with a script so you can recruit civilians to join your team :) Maybe not realistic, but neat nonetheless.

  6. When I first got the game I assumed that it was such a machine killer that my system just wasn't quite up to the task getting no more than 25 fps in any given area dipping as low as 10 at times. the strange thing however is how little these numbers changed between very low and very high settings.

    Im running it on

    core 2 duo q6600 2.4 OC'd to 2.7,

    8 gig of DDR2 ram,

    Nvidia BFG 280GTX

    Vista 64

Now I know that my possessor isn't the fastest in the world but with my combined rig I should definitely exceed 25 fps on very low settings.

From reading other threads on this forum its come to light that Vista is to blame for these shortcomings And would like to know when this is going to be fixed because its ruining a great game for me.

I don't feel that I should have to go through the hassle of installing xp just so that a game that should run fine already does.

Runs great on my laptop with Vista 32. Core 2 Duo, 7950GTX Go 512.

  7. Don't get ticked off by Codies disinformation agents/fanboys roaming around trying to discredit and ridicule ARMA2. When it comes to military realism, complexity and depth, both online and offline, then ARMA2 stands alone against the mass. Naturally, a simulation of this complexity is bound to have problems at first, but they will soon be ironed out by BIS and the dedicated community. Doubt it not.
