I recently found my missing 256MB Flash Drive, which had been hidden in a cup on top of my computer desk for about 6 months. O.o Anyways, I decided that I should get some new AddOns, just for the heck of it. So...heres where the scary part comes in, I tried to get on Ofp.info... And it said..."Ofp.info cannot be found". Astounded, I tried it twice more, no luck. Then, with a glimmer of hope, I tried to get on OFPEC...same thing. "Ofpec.com cannot be found". I was bewildered, I tried thrice more, before realizing the awful truth...OFP's AddOn community is dead, and ArmA has taken over. So, did these sites really close, or is my internet just sucky? Â

Well, I have a couple of questions; I'm hoping someone can answer: 1) How do I get AI soldiers to sit on the ground indefinitely, but react if the enemy comes near? 2) Do I need an external script for this to work? Cheers, mate!

I just installed OFP on my new computer, which is around the third-time I've installed it; and now, when I try to install the "Addons at Ease" Camel addon so I can use the GRAA Modpack, it says that there is a problem with my OFP installation; followed by a warning that legitimate games do not fade. I'm pretty sure this is attributed to my installing of OFP on two computers, but I wanted to be sure, and if there was a way to remedy this problem.

Well, I recently installed OFP on my only internet-ready PC; and since I don't want to clog it up with addons, I was wondering... What are the best addon-free CTIs, that are still played on a reg. basis; and is MFCTI one of them?

That sounds exactly like what an addon-maker should do when the game is released. Â

ArmA 2 can't suck? My sir, ArmA 1 sucks, how can you say ArmA 2 WON'T suck? The only redeeming quality of ArmA, IMHO, is it's near real graphics and rather script-friendly design. Everything else, the flight physics, controls, responsiveness, patches; it all sucks. Saying ArmA 2 won't suck is like saying OFP2 will suck, which it prolly will .

Wow, sounds like my whole post blew over your head. I'll try to make it simplier this time: According to what you said, "...More features make a game better..."; I replied "look at BF2142, it has lots of features...yet it's rather mediocre..." You, in your rather arrogant view, took this as hostile and said that I shouldn't talk about BF2142 in this forum; when I used it as an example to disprove your theory. You then proceeded to disregard my post a second time; still in the mindset that I have not played OFP or ArmA, and saying that I shouldn't speak of matters which I have no knowledge thereof. To which I am replying: 1) Please, actually read and understand what I am saying. 2) Gasmasks would have no relevance to the game, unless during the campaign you are required to use them; or wait until someone makes an addon for it. 3) Battlefield kicks ass

Honestly, I don't care if it looks like ArmA is right now; as long as I get good FPS, I'm happy! Â But, IMHO, the max viewdistance needs to go up a bit; maybe better indoors (i.e. No more running through walls).

Hm, I see you are the average, offensive, stereotypical archtype of an American. If you had actually read my post, you would see I was offering an example that "features don't make a good game" and using BF2142 as that example. And no, I am not an "ArmA Newbie"; I have actually played and made missions for OFP.

ArmA 2 for console? That's not really my scene.In my opinion ArmA 2 make only sense for PC.I see that doesn't make sense here.You don't see the fact,"the more features than the better game". Hm; it'll be doubtful today's hardware will be able to run ArmA 2 at max, it'll be relatively future-proof. Besides, IIRC; BF2142 has tons of features, but it sucks when it comes down to it, too complicated, everythings nerfed, etc., etc. Besides, it's not about how many features are in a game, it's about how good the included ones are and how relevant to the game itself the feature is.

Sounds like someone is on the verge of a tantrum... Besides that, gasmasks have no relevance to the game whatsoever, unless they are used in a mission in the campaign. If they're not in the game, don't cry; buy it for PC and wait until someone makes an addon for it, or go play Farmland. (I hope console users get addon support as well. )

I just dl'd the patch and for some reason, it won't launch or do much of anything. But I can't select anything on my desktop.

I think anything can target with an LD, except infantry. I'm pretty sure all an LD does it just "light up" the target, making it more visible on the Radar.

Looked like it was just down the street or, I mean, you could clearly see all the way down there. :P But yeah, that might've been pushing it a little, silly IW.

Lol, I just dl'd it and, even though it runs really badly on my comp, it's completely awesome. Lol, I went out to the Quarantine zone, to head for the military base; and when I passed a forest, about 20 zombies just came running and annihilated me. It's a bit laggy for me, but it's really fun; now we just need something like this in OFP.

It should work like this: Multiplayer --> Internet --> IP/Port --> Buddy clicks remote --> Friend joins --> Start Game

Okay. I was going to get a quad in the beginning too, it's only 25 pounds more!

That's cause they are still in Priypat.

I'm pretty sure the PS3 version can use a keyboard/mouse, if you get the USB kind.
