Jaspion replied to Cobra8472's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Just set the fillrate to 100% and lower your settings/resolution. -
graphics bugs with ATI 4800 series (4850/4870/4890)
Jaspion replied to fjaekel's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
It happens in few minutes also on a ATI Radeon 1600XT even on low memory setting. BSOD occurs if you don't leave the game quickly. -
Thank you so much!!!!! It's XMAS!!

You're supposed to use the proper hardware for the software you have. And 8800 series aren't supported by Armed Assault. If you like to play ArmA, use a DX9 card. Period.
-
You should sell your DX10 cards right now before their prices fall: http://www.digitalbattle.com/2007....t-dx101 DX 10.1 and new shaders won't be supported at all by DX10 cards like 8800s in Vista SP1.
-
Don't use any unsupported OS (Vista or Vista 64) or any unsupported card (8800), that's plain simple. When you buy computer parts, make sure that it meet the requirements for the software you want to use (Armed Assault.)

At least, they should release a beta version of the dedicated linux server. It could help linux admins to wait and have a live feedback of the binaries. Come on!
-
Still no linux server!

Glock pistols like they have in VBS2. And a realistic Javelin CLU ironsight, with choice of fire mode (TOP, DIR), locking display, NV, zoom, with simulated troubleshooting of CLU & Javelin tube:

In the real world, even on a clear day you can see more 5 to 10 kms.

and that box is Plastic not STEEL its actually paper, with a steel texture It's a METAL/STEEL box from this company: http://www.steelbook.com/forside/indexFlash.htm You can see this url inside the ArmA box. Don't say stupid things without the METAL box in hands. It's actually conducts electricity and it's really cold when you touch it. This version costs 44.99€.
