Gees its only a bit of fun whick kicks paintballs ass, if those dumbass 13 year olds wanna go out on the streets and get gunned down by our rather trigger happer Armed Response Unit then thats fine by me, if they are (or where) that stupid in the first place then they needed shooting anyway.     M16s are pop guns. One of the things I find most annoying in this pack, is that you have all tanks as being MBTs. An M60 Patton is NOT an MBT by today(Or '85's) standards, same goes for the T72 and T55. Another thing, the Mini-14 is not an issue weapon, it is a civilian .223 rifle, it isn't automatic, it doesn't sound like a full .308 M14, it does about as much dammage as an M16, and it doesn't say what the standard M14 has printed on it. And another thing concerning the M14, is the full-auto. There weren't very many of them in use or made with full-auto. Thankfully, you made it uncontrollable on full, but i fear the AI will start using full-auto unlike an actual solier with an M14. And lastly, there are no groups! How am I supposed to make a simple two squad battle that has the same units as the BIS groups(10 Man Squad, one LAW/RPG, etc) without spending 8 minutes placing single units? *Note*I own several somewhat large rifles from WW2. Sorry I'll rename it AC-556 next time and it does do as much damage as the M16. I only added it as a little bonus and I do realise that it isn't an issue weapon. Is the G36 or the Steyr AUG issued to US troops? because they are there under West Men I'll will give it some new sounds for it later. I am no texture artist so I simply used the same textures as the M14, were you expecting to see Colt M4A1 carbine cal. 223 then an individual serial number on the left side of the magazine well on the M4 and then a totally different print on the M16A2? Anyway the AI will not use the M14 on full auto past 30cm and why would anyone choose a semi auto M14 over the M21 which is more accurate and has a telescopic sight (I mean in game, not real life). I'll add groups for the next release. I put the tanks where all the other tanks were in the original and thats under armoured, im not making anymore subsections like Support tanks, Shite tanks, Target practice tanks etc. And where does it state that they are MBTs? in the readme? does that affect the game in any way? Should I put the M113 as an Armoured Personnel Carrier or an Inantry Fighting Vehicle? By the time Ive finished there would be as many subsections as there are units.

    Cheers I might do that then. that Mi24 will be one hard thing to bring down. Also I havent touched the AA missiles (Stinger and 9K32). I suppose they will have to be powered up as at the mo it takes 2 o bring down a MI 17. Default they do 200 damage each. The MI 17 armour is at 75

    5.56mm weapons generally just give of a small puff of smoke in daylight, I would think it depends on the barrel lengh and the type of flash suppressor used. Also how do you make it so that at night it does give of a clear flash and in day it doesn't if you do it by time its gonna look odd if its 6 o'clock and not flashing and 1 minute later it just kicks in, it would look even worst if you are in the middle of a full auto burst.

    Also the PSO 1 4 in Flashpoint has the same zoom level as the M21 in highest zoom. Its only a 4 power not a 9.

    A decent leaf sight for a grenade launcher would be nice. Maybe make the zoom in/ out keys twist the gun up and down so that the front sight aligns properly with what range you want. Same with iron sights. The AK and the M16 sights are easy to adjust. The AK as far as I know has no windage adjust but easy to use elevation. The M16A2 needs a tool for the front sight, but you dont really need to change it as its all in the rear sights now unlike the A1. The dial on the right side is for widage and the one undernieth is for elevation. Maybe even make a nice animation for turning the dials .
  9. You should be able to stand , crouch and lay prone with rocket launchers. If your worried that you will get burnt in the back blast while layine prone then just make it so he looks and aims to the left a bit. At the mo I hate the way you cant quickly jump down behind cover after firing a launcher. Been able to stand would help when trying to shoot over cover. If not at least make it so you can reload when standing or prone. I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to as you can in real life. On the topic of postions why not make one like in RVS when you can adjust it just you can fire through a little window or a small hole in a wall. Instead of that horrid standing position where he kind of bends over and cant shoot over window ledges what about a proper standing position as well.

    It doesn't really make a difference to me. What I hate in close quarters is that permament zoom you have all the time. If that would be toggled then it would be a big bonus.

    Maybe not all the guns, but definately some do, the MP5, Uzi and the M16 all strangley match the sounds during the live tests I saw in a few different documentary programmes. I suppose its alot harder getting the sounds for a WA2000. I really liked the M16 sound from CWC and hated the new one in Res so I de PBO the sound file and changed them back to the originals . From what I can remember when firing a few M16s they weren't the most ear pleasing weapons, I heard it had something to do with the recoil buffer. I could make it so the M16s have that older sound if you want. It has a faster ROF now anyway so I would have to make a new burst sound. No problem when you have Cool Edit .

    Typical the americans allways get the better things.That is almost double armour! I may be an ass but i believe that OFP has enough of the of BIS weapons that people have changed. It is unrealistic to shoot people at half a KM.I heard somwhere that you did not put much into the sounds.The sounds make the battlefield! All the sounds are from Raven Shield, if you like RS then you'll like the sounds. Anyway after seeing those US troops gun down that car following thier truck in Iraq I think the M16 sounds quite realistic. Anyway I heard that RS used sounds recorded from real weapos been fired. The Uzi definatly sounds realistic in RS. Also to get them to not stutter i full auto I used soundcontinuous so I had to make the sound very short on the fast firing weapons, but in single shot they are just the same as RS.

    What about climbing like in Rouge Spear, where you could clear low obsatcles. I liked that, but of course they took it out of Raven Shield . So what you do is walk up to an object and either climb it or jump it, climbing would be quieter and better for spec ops missions, but you would have to sling your gun. Jumping would be quicker, but people around you would hear you and it would tire you more than climbing.

    So wait, the SU25 has more armor than MI24? Â And the AH64 with 115 is almost the same as Mi24 also? Â Hmmm... Â Seems like you gave West a big boost in all aspects. Well to be honest I was unsure about the armour for the choppers and planes. Give me what you think it should be and I'll change it.

    This pack of weapons including around 20 M16s, 3 G3s and 10 AKs makes the AI engage at longer ranges and fire fully automatic at closer ranges. Now the AI may engage you at 400m+ with an M16 and maybe more with a G3 or M14. They now use grenade launchers more and at longer ranges. Also the packs M16s are smaller and to scale with the other weapons there is also alot more detail put into the M16 models. all the AKs use the BIS AKSU reciever making them look alot better too. Damages and velocities have been changed depending on the weapon and ammo. If you want the full list of weapons and changes just say and i'll put them up

    OK some updates. The G3A3 has now turned into a G3A4 as the fixed stock looked crap. The US Machine Gun is the M249 SAW now, I'll add an M60E3 later on. Can someone remind me of the ROF for the SAW, ive got it as 1000rpm, I read 750-1000, but what should I use? 875rpm? The PSG-1 is now silenced, with effective range of 200m or so. Goes well with the MP5 SD in Black op missions, it has a fixed x6 sight with an illuminated dot and crosshair, similar to my WA2000.

    Thanks for all this Maraudeur I'll look into it later, I havent got an AUG in my pack, I might though, later. If I do then I'll make the whole series - carbines, SMGs, H Bar, M203 etc. I might try somet new, like an SA80 or whatever.
