I´m not able to patch the regular german DVD version. I cannot upgrade from 1.01 to 1.02 or from 1.00 to 1.02. After checking all files it just gives me an error "Patch cannot continue - The disk 1.0x is almost full"... all partitions on my system have at least >1GB free space. Is there a problem with Win2000? That´s what I´m using...

I wonder what happened to the helicopter flight model. I have no problem flying it with mouse+keyboard in OFP but the new model doesn´t seem right. The main angle point seems to be 20 feet above the helicopter, the camera is moving to the right when flying left and worse, it´s flying like a donkey that doesn´t want to fly. Maybe the mouse is too sensitive for flying but it seems ok for infantry. I really would appreciate if BIS could implement the old flight model / mouse controls that were in OFP. What do others think?

Got an idea: You could simulate wind (moving trees as ArmA has now as I have read a few minutes ago) and it´s effects on sound. So if you stand on a hill and an enemy tank is a few miles west of you and the wind comes from the west as well, you can hear the tank more loudly. I think you know what I mean.

Great story *rofl* So how about the screenshots

Wasnt ArmA OFP With New Graphics, Island And Camp?
JPSelter replied to westy159's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
Thanks for the link, I´m a bit disappointed now as I was so excited how the old islands would look like. But on the other hand the community will make them available as soon as they can. Also Bohemia will perhaps make expansion packs, if they find the time. Hey that would be a great interview question! placebo! I have a question here! -

No, this confuses me even more. The plan was to release CWC and Res. When did they change their minds? Do you have any source like an interview? -

Until now I thought that ArmA would ship with 4 campaign: CWC, Red Hammer, Res and the new one. Then I was told that Red Hammer is missing because of legal issues and here I read only about Res to be included. Can anyone clearify this for me? What is included? Is there a possibility that the community is able to transfer the Red Hammer campaign with a mod? What about the speech files, are there legal issues as well to export them from OFP? -
Sorry if my question has been discussed before (surely it has) but this thread is very old and I don´t know if it still works: I haven´t been online with OFP for 2 years now and want to play again. In the past I used All-Seeing-Eye but later I heard that it was sold to some company. Is it still available and working? Are there better alternatives? Thanks for any answers

What also shows the bad quality of her writing: She says that BIS was sleeping for 5 years... hmmmm Resistance shipped in June 2002... calculate

That´s what happened with IGI2 when they changed from Eidos to Codemasters. One of those "cool" features was limiting the space you could walk. You could run miles and miles in IGI1, just for fun, then in IGI2 you had invisible walls... I´m glad that BIS doesn´t think this way...

You better edit your post A gamestar moderator is on his way here to pursuit you.

Both links are the same, is this intended?

happy birthday! I would buy AA even when it had Resistance-like graphics, but it´s far superior luckily

I still read the original text there They just added the line "Because BIS wants to sell AA as OFP1.5 it´s not so dramatic"...

The german website www.gamestar.de slaps Armed Assault and Bohemia into the face. Editor Petra Schmitz visited the IDEA Games boot yesterday only to write a hilarious, stupid and unprofessional article. The translation: "Flashpoint - nothing more Bohemia Interactive, creators of the tactical-shooter Operation Flashpoint, have apperently spend the last years in deep sleep. In the meantime they probably woke up for a few days to snap their tactical shooter from 2001 to beef up the textures and blow up the island to 400 squarekilometers. Then they have built in the possibility to play the missions as sniper, tankcommander or ordinary infantry and improved the movements with motion capturing. We have to admit the latter works amazingly. The other two improvements seem to us to be more of an occasion-work, as there has to be a brand new game after all. Armed Assault however is no brand new game. This is only a generally improved Operation Flashpoint and seems to be in times of UnrealEngine3 or even the Crytek Engine a bad joke. Noone knows better than us that graphics isn´t everything and you don´t have to roll up already succesful concepts. But what Bohemia tries to deliver - worse than moderate. Maybe that´s why noone from Bohemia was there. You could only find two PR-guys inside a tiny room at the end of the Kentia Hall. We left both of them with a sad feeling, remembering with melancholy the huge size of an Operation Flashpoint. [...]" They can´t be serious, can they? This is the most unprofessional article I´ve ever read. Gamestar is known here for it´s unprofessional behaviour so people here don´t take this too serious. But it´s still a brashness
