THATS IT. This problem has definently crossed the line now. Not finished OPF CWC yet, so I was playing on the mission "Air Attack." The sound problem occured and the PC crashed AGAIN. Re-booted, and went to carry on to find that the ENTIRE CAMPAIN HAS BEEN ERASED. WTF?! I have to start again? Why?! Why did this happen? All because of a pathetic sound problem?! Sorry, sorry. I'm just a bit upset now that I have to got through that game again. I was about to start the "Wake up call" mission too. Damn PC. Who the hell do I blame now? If anyone can help me, can they please direct me to a site that has a save game file of the CWC campain upto "Wake up call" please? (BTW I was running on patch 1.46.) This added with the fact my PC can't play Resistance on my PC has made me a very...angry...person.

Well, at least PC Gamer UK gave it a more realistic score (89%.) Not the 90% that PC Zone UK gave it. PCGUK said it does not cater for all gamers. In some ways that is true, not everyone likes a strict simulation. So, ICO is the most underated game huh...

Never had Rambo style missions before, and they were not as exciting. Anyway, I was on one of the Red Hammer missions, called "Grounded" where the Mi-17 is down and you need to repair it. I left the medic to guard the chopper. So, I hopped into the near by Jeep (and since it was about 11PM, I decided to do a kamakazi run) so foot down on the pedal, I drove down the road to the fuel truck, noticing 4 soldiers along the way. I ran over two of them, then headed straight for the base. The sirens came on, bullets were heading towads me, smashing the window. A soldier was about to throw a grenade. He was in front of a builing, so I barged into him. The jeep came to a halt, and I quicky got out. The M60 gunner and grenadier fired like mad at me, taking out the jeep at the same time. I quickly took cover, and took out the remaing soldiers in the base. Not far off was a soldier firing in the wrong direction. Â Took him out, grabed the jeep and went all the way back to the Hind. Not as interesting as you're battles, but this was on hell of a mission I managed pulled off!

Followth thee OPF commandment. 1) Thou shall hit the dirt under heavy fire. 2) Thou shall press "V" to sight thee enemy. 3) Thou shall download and heal OPF with patches. 4) Thou shall protect thee teammates like a guardian angel. And another six that I can't be bothered with.

Hmm, well you lot can buy a dozen copies, go to peoples houses and hand them the game, hoping to convert them. Tis not a game...but a RELIGION.

Codename Eagle was fun at times, although the control system is poor. OPF underated? I thought this game sold over 1 million copies! That can't be really underated...until I found the amount sold in America. So...most of the copies were sold in Europe and in the Eastern Europe! Wow, thats a suprise.

But whats the point in owning two copies?! I once went mad and brought two copies of Metal Gear Solid. Whats was the point? Although I wish I brought it for that price. I spent Å8 on the original OPF. Then the Å5 on the gold upgrade... Followed by the Å8 for Resistance (the game won't friggin' work on my PC...thank you very much, damn FX 5600 ) Ah well...

Wow, the entire Operation Flashpoint OST is on my HHD? Now that i've found 'em, I can now dump them into my OPF Flash Parodies

The fact that every mission can have a different turn of events? War is never predictable, neither is it scripted. The fact that you can pull of impressive feats in almost every mission (like err, I shot down 2 Hind-Ds with a LAW once. I was well cuffed ), and the wide variety of vehicles too. Oh, and that Mission Editor. Still learnig how to get the damn boat to move when my group of soldiers board it

It's just that RABBI rhymes with my first name, and the "Judge" part came from "Judge Dredd." Anyway, thats out of the way. Thanks for the input. Will be spending some more on a sound card later on . A "Crackiling" noise is the perfect way to describe it placebo. Dunno why OPF is the only game out of my collection of 24+ PC games that needs a sound card to avoid problems.

Thank God. My copy of Resistance is gathering dust. Next month it should be at least 1 inch thick.

Hello. Just a few weeks ago I got OFP Cold War Crisis, Gold Upgrade and Resistance. I downloaded ALL of the patches I needed off the official website. After everything was installed, I tested the games out. OFP + Red Hammer worked fine, it was running with Patch 1.46. Resistance on the other hand was displaying a green screen. I tried the Alt-Tab thing, and the screen still displayed green. I had the patch 1.91 installed, so what is wrong? I re-instsall the nVidia drivers. Resistance showed up. Yippee! But a day later, the green screen problem came again, and it rather annoyed me. Anyone know how to fix it? My PC spec - AMD Athlon 2500XP (2GHz) 512MB RAM 256MB GeForce FX 5600 Windows XP Home Edition OS with sevice pack 1 Using DX9. If you need anymore info, just ask. Thanks for reading.

I heard the detonator drivers are not worth the hassle, and has caused certain people problems with WinXP. Is that true? The Auto detect thing does not work, i'll try out the other method. nv4_mini.sys. While playing with three AH-64 raining FFAR's on four T-80 tanks and two Shilkas firing like mad at them, the game freezes and a blue screen comes up, which states that 'nv4_mini.sys' is the cause for the problem. That file is located in the nVidia drivers folder. The problem occurs under patch 1.46. Just want to ask if it is fixed in patch 1.91.

Wow, i've been looking for a Rabbi smilile! Anyway, I have NOT installed the new detonator drivers that nVidia has issued out. I re-installed the WinXP-2K - 44.03 nVidia drivers. The game worked ONCE. Must have been by luck... One more question. Does the new patch (1.91) fix a problem with a file called nv4_mini.sys?

Hmm, did not notice this topic before I posted. Add me to the "green screen" problem. This is just as worse as a "blue screen" error message...BUT WORSE!!! I re-installed my nVidia drivers and got the game to work...for ONE day only. Perhaps I should re-install the drivers every day...nah.
