First I had an error with the "dubbing.pbo" file being too short. I redownloaded the game and reinstalled it and that fixed that particular problem. Now the game starts and loads the first screen, "Bohemia Interactive Presents" but that's it. I get the dialog box stating that ArmA 2 has incountered a problem and must close. We apologize for the inconvenience, would you like to report the error". My PC is: MB: EVGA X58 SLI Classified w/EVGA ECP / 3x16x CPU: Intel Core® i7 920 Processor w/stock cooler HD: VelociRaptor 300GB 10,000RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive Case: Cooler Master HAF932 Case RAM: Corsair Memory XMS3 6GB DDR3-1333 CL9 Memory Kit (3 2GB sticks) GPU: dual BFG 260 OC's (I disabled SLI hoping that might fix the issue, but it hasn't) Additional HDD's: Maxtor 250gb Sata (x2) DVD: Sony DRU-500A and Sony DRU-720A Sound Card: Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium. Keyboard: G15 Mouse: G9 Headset: Turtlebeach HPA's (5.1 dolby) PS: ThermalTake Black Widow 850 watt. OS: XPPro 32 bit The motherboard, CPU, VelociRaptor, RAM and Case are all brand new. Does anyone have any suggestions. Direct2Drive is the company I purchased the game from and they've tried to help, but they've pretty much exhausted their knowledge. In their last reply, they directed me here, which I've been digging through all of the posts in this part of the forum without success. Bohemia, why can't you have a contact other then the forums for problems? I know this is a conflict between my configuration and the game, but I'm not doing anything exotic. I'm not overclocking anything. I'm not running any rogue software that would cause this. I've turned off all of my firewalls and by-passed my router, but as I understand it, that's primarily for online, multiplayer. I just trying to get the game to start. I played OFP and throughly enjoyed the game. I've been looking forward to this game and OFP2 for over 2 years now. My PC exceeds your optimal specs, the game should still start, shouldn't it? I'm not demanding my money back, I just want the game to run. How about a little help? Thanks. I hope.

Arma 2 launch start 'addons\dubbings'
JAFO replied to blackath's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I am also getting this error message, only mine states: Data file too short 'addons\dubbing.pbo'. Expected 1218318687B, got 1209930100 B I purchased my game from direct2drive so I was able to look at the size of the dubbing.pbo file since it is not on a DVD and not compressed. The size of the downloaded file matches what the game got exactly 1209930100 bytes. Evidently there is some kind of digital signature in each idividual copy of the game in this file as Blackath's game is expecting a different size file than my copy is expecting. BIS how about a little help here. Please. -
To those of you that have problems with the sound cutting out. Â If you're using Audigy....TURN OFF EAX!. Â I had the same problem with EAX, both before and after I downloaded and installed the latest versions of the drivers. Â To tell the truth I have yet to see any value to EAX and it has caused me problems with other programs and apps as well as OFP. Even though this is "OFF TOPIC", the issue of DL'ing the new driver's was raised here, so I'll answer it here: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Yea, but the new auddrvpack.exe can't even be downloaded from creativelabs site. Â What's up with that! Â I have to tell ya, there support sucks a BIG one! Â Give it a try, see if it will let you download it, and if it does, please put it somewhere where others can get to it. Â Thanks. <span id='postcolor'> I ran into the same problem in getting them from Creative (there is more than one file that you want). Â SO....I did a search with the file name and extension. Â I found some site in Indonisia, or Singapore, or some other SE Asian site, that had them and it was one of the quickest servers I ever connected to....Took all of about 3 minutes to DL all of the files. Â Sorry, I don't remember the URL, but do the search, there are several sites out there that have the files. Good Luck. Â
