  1. I'm hosting the BlackOP HALO mission some time now, but the 2Mb takes ages to upload to all players. I already uploaded it to a server and made people download it in advance, but not all players do that. Even if i say it 20 times. But i heard there is also a small version, does anybody has it or know where to find it? Thanks in advance.

    One thing i noticed since i started playing Operation Flashpoint again, is that you don't need to aim high for long range shots. Is it true there is no gravity moddeled for bullets? That would really be strange for a realistic shooter like Operation Flashpoint in my opinion. I play IL2: Forgotten Battles a lot (a combat flight simulator for those that don't know it), and weapon convergence both in the horizontal and vertical plane is a big issue. Take the M16A2 for example. It has a muzzle velocity of 853 m/s. Even if you would leave out the aerodymanic resistance of the bullet, you would need to aim 0.60 meter high at 300m and 1.7 meter high at 500m. That about equals the target you're shooting at . Modelling resistance would probably increase these numbers considerably. But right now, it makes aiming just point and shoot. Especially sniping benifits from this.

Btw: are different muzzle velocities, different aerodynamics and wind effects also moddelled?

    Ok, disregard my post in that case . Interesting to hear that the M16's sight is set to give a level aim at 300 yards. That's comparable to the convergence setting of weapons in WOII aircraft (which i set at 200 meters most of the time).
