Seems this computer gives me little more than agro these days... Anyway, I've had the same problem as the guy in: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=33847 but the solution doesn't work for me =/ I'm using Win 98, the latest Direct X and the latest NVIDIA drivers for my GeForce 2. I get the exact same message as he got, however after installing the new DX something different happens, games start, a windowed game appears, never gets beyond just a solid white block though, then it crashes back to desktop and displays the message about not being able to create a 3D Device in full screen... Anyone have any ideas? System Info: 1.4GHz AMD Athlon       512 RAM (not sure which type)       32mb GeForce 2 MX 100/200 DirectX Diagnostic's results (Direct 3D):                     Stage 7    Test failed at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure)                     Stage 8    Test failed at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086c (error code)                     Stage 9    Test failed at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086c (error code)   (When I go into the control panel and the advanced display properties, the window closes it self when I got to the GeForce 2 MX 100/200 tab, it displays: "An error occurred while Windows was working the Control Panel file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\DESK.CPL)

I found what appears to be causing the problem "nv4_disp.dll" so... I installed the previous driver pack... hasn't fixed it =/ is it worth cycling through all the other old ones?

Well... few little tweaks here and there... now it doesn't freeze... but it still drops to desktop at seemingly random points =/

Eep -.- I thought I put them down -.- AMD Athlon 1.4GHz, 512Mb of RAM (not sure which type) and the afformentioned 32Mb GeForce 2 MX, 600k cable... blah blah...

Well, I had some problems with my computer... got to the point that it couldn't get as far as windows before it froze... but all thats sorted now... had it reformatted, now running under XP Pro... and by God do I miss 98 -.- From the backstory, to the sob story: I installed OPF, Red Hammer and OPF:R then started it up, went to my profile 2 seconds in... the head stopped spinning and it froze =/ so... hit the reset button and tried again... this time I crtl + alt + del'd and found 100% of my resources were engaged (O_o same computer as I've been playing OPF on for just about 2 years and I've never had anything like this happen before) Â anyway, I went back on opfr and then got the repeating error that happens when you're in need of a graphics driver update... off I go to NVIDIA's site and got the latest update for my geforce 2, ha ha problem solved? Went back on opfr and onto the profile... put my xml in, changed my face... and it froze (task manger again says 100% engaged again) maxmised opfr again... it started working again... began to notice a pattern here... maybe the graphics options are set a little too high... went onto the visual options... and my computer resets itself. Ok... willing to accept a crash... put it down to bad luck... but on my 4th attempt to change the visual options and my 4th crash I deleted all the opfs, reinstalled just opf, went into the visual options... and... -.- it crashes again... PS: In game it freezes because theres no free resources... I assume that anyway... And I'm using the latest updates for XP any ideas? (only difference between the PC now and then is I had win98 then and NAV 2002, now I have XP and McAfee, if that helps at all)

Can they be transfered in captured viechles... 2, In the outro, what does that little Czech qoute mean? 3, At the end of the outro, when it all went black I pressed escape and for a second Gustavski was stood looking at the camera in a log cabin... anyone else seen that? Yea... I won the game without being totally sure how to transfer weapons lol spent ages loading weapons into resistance veichles only to find I couldn't select them in the gear thingy Finally... I love the cinametics at the end. Beuty.

I don't see why they bothered calling it NATO... it is just the US... I don't see one Challenger 2, Leopard 2, Lynx, Tornado IDS or any piece of kit that isn't used by the US...

I think the problem is with intergated sound cards... but then again I'm not sure =/ VIA AC'97 seems the common thread... this never happened with 1.46 or 1.6...

Well... I've got that repeating sound bug, which means you can go no further in the story with out saving it and reloading (thank god for that little "cheat" lol) but as you can imagen... its takes the edge off the flowing game play... Next... an interesting installation bug... or rather... post installation bug. The daft thing says that a bad CD code was used... so... I reinstalled it and put "O" instead of "0" but about a day later (which considently is today lol) I get the same bleeding message... JZ *going insane* :mad:
