Well I have almost the same version of this problem. A week ago I finally descided to switch from Win98 to Win2000, and I had to install the game all over again. From 1.00 > 1.10 > 1.20 > 1.30 = No problem
Then when upgrading from 1.30 > 1.40 or 1.42 = same problem as the others. Turn the game on - first screen - then back to Windows Desktop.
Initially I thought it might have something to do with some Firewall-shit, but now some of you talk about a "compatibility-mode". Where do I find that??? Please help - I need to feel up2date again LOL :-) :-) :-)
