Hi Blue_flight Sorry for the late reply but I've been unwell. The F-14's are the ones created by TomiD and footmunch. They are his textures so I'm not taking any credit for those. All I've done is change the texture colours slightly to match those of the F/A18 and Nimitz models. In addition I've added about 10+ squadrons and retextured the various tail art for each of the squadrons.

Hi Guys, Thanks for all the input. Hopefully the textures are going to be released real soon. I've just sent an email to Rico from the ADF mod. Since he already has permission to modifiy the F-18, he might as well make use of the them. Whilst I'm on the subject of permission I may also seek to release the C-130 in the near future. This too is photoreal and comes in both USAF and RAF schemes. Sadly I know that both models suffering from lighting problems. Regrettably this is beyond my capability to fix.

Hi guys, Does anyone know if Hudon and Pennywise are still active members of the OPF community? The reason I ask is because I've retextured their F-18 using photoreal textures and, would like to release them (There are 3 USMC squadrons and 13 USN squadrons available). Please see http://uk.geocities.com/wmp2399/ for pics. P.S. I've tried emailing them with no joy.

Hi mate, To answer your question, yes they are the textures provided with the origianal model. All I've done is use a number of real life photographs and placed the relevant sections over the top and then blended them in for maximum effect. I have several versions of the same model (I think about 3 Marine squardons and 7 Navy squadrons) available. They've been sitting on my harddrive for quiet some time now. I've tried contacting Hudon and Pennywise's but they haven't/wont reply to my emails....... I dont even know if they're still contactable. If I am unable to release their plane (due to premission problems) then I might see if Footmuch would be interested in my textures (they've been totally changed. The only thing they have in common is the order they appear on the canvas and even this can be changed!.

Hi Hellfish Thanx for your comment. In answer to your question, I have retextred only one of Footmunch's wonderful aircraft. The aircraft I choose to retexture was his F-5 Tiger, which I have now done in a USN "Top Gun" Green/Grey colour scheme. There are a couple of pic's up at my web site, however they are not the best.

Cheers guys for all the great feed back. Just to let you know that I have totally re-textured the F/A 18 and would appreciate any comments. This is beacuse I'm considering retextureing the Tornado in a similar way to the F/A 18 (using pivots instead of just straight lines. If you see the 1st pic on my web page then you may understand what I mean). I got the pivot idea from BAS's Blackhawk and it works a treat. The pivots only really become visable when you get close to the model, so the rest of the time all you see is a dark line. Anyway, I've posted some more pics up at my web site and hope that you will take a look. I'm hoping that the more support I can generate the easier it will be for the original creators to let me release these reskins. Cheers ICOL

Yes I'll release them if people want me to. But first I'll need to get permission from the various creators. Please don’t expect them to be great, I’m no texture artist. All I have done is tweaked the existing textures. The A4 for example is 99.9% still Colonel Klink's work. All I did was change the colour scheme and added a few new logos here and there. In essence Colonel Klink will still take the vast majority of the credit.

Yes mate I'm still here. I'm just in the process of trying to totally revamp the F-18 and Seakings. Plus I'm also trying to creating a modern day colour scheme for the Luftwaffe Tornado.

Hello all, I was just wondering how many people out there have modified existing addons but have never actually released them to the OPF community. The reason I ask is because I myself am guilty of this offence. Here are just a few of mine: Royal Air Force GR4 Tornado - 9, 14, 25 and 31 Squadrons Royal Air Force Seaking - Search and Rescue Royal Navy Seaking - Search and Rescue and LV US Navy F/A-18 Hornet - VFA-25, 115 and 195 US Navy A-4 Skyhawk - VFA 126 Aggressor Squadron If anybody is interested in seeing any of these addons then please feel free visting my rather crappy web site at: http://www.geocities.com/icol2399/INTRO.html However, I shall not release any addon without the consent of the true creator, who of course will take full credit. P.S. THANK YOU Gollum1 for the input and welcome.

Hi all, I would like to ask the OPFOR community a question. Does anybody know whether it is possible to convert FS2002 models into OPFOR? The reason I ask is because there is a wealth of excellent military/civil aircraft available that would fit nicely into OPFOR. I am aware that modellers on GTA3 sites have been able to convert cars from the NFS series, and STSFC modellers have been able to convert Homeworld and ST Armada files into the game. However, should this not be possible. Perhaps the textures used on the FS2002 models could be used in the creation of OPFOR models. Having read the forums, I have noticed that many modellers have difficulty in creating or texturing their models. Maybe this with assist in the easier creation of their models, as the textures are usually in .BMP format and can easily be converted into tga/paa and pac. ****IMPORTANT***** The above is ONLY a suggestion and should only be done with the consent of the original author. Thanks for any input
