I builded the model some time ago, but I need someone to put it on the right track. I know the scripting won't be easy but the community is now more experienced. I just want to point out some fact about swiming. While I was playing Joint Operation I found out that you can go or fall in water without a problem. It's even affect to weapon accuracy and stuff. You just got a breath bar. It's stupid that a soldier cannot swim or at least float. The last thing is encumbrance. The weight you are carrying should affect some aspect of the game, like running speed, getting up... and drowing. A recce should move faster than a machinegunner. Load bearing is a important fact of a soldier's life.

Ok, I build a low res modelthat cover the main as for the LOD Fire geometry. The Hires model is ok. Work fine in O2. But I must include a lowres model in the fire geometry LOD. Questions... When exporting from 3DS. Do I export all the geometry (Hires and lowres) or do I export both separated. In 3DS. Can I attach all the separate part of the lowres model together or it's better to keep them apart? For now, what I done is... In O2, I create the first LOD (1.00), everything is fine. Put some strange czech name where they suppose to go. But with the Fire Geo LOD. When I created a new Fire Geo LOD... Do I import the lowres model?... do I merge it? Do I strip apart the full model... I'm a little stuck here. Goddammit, I used to have all those infos written.

New update on my site. Come see the 2003 version of my Ontos in action. Go to the ADDONS/TV TUNER to see. Have a look KyleSarnik. This was the first operational Ontos in OFP.

KyleSarnik. I don't think it's going to be a problem modeling a static M40 and such. Will see about that after the Ontos is up and rolling.

Indeed Hellfish6. For the first release, following many requests and suggestions, I will make the 'nam version, a resistance (mostly with the multicam pattern), and a wrecked one. And KyleSarnik, don't worry. My czech is improving (haha). I'm just figuring out some LOD and stuff. I notice flat boxes for the headlights and backlight. Do I have to make the textures, or are they OFP generated?

I know, I've already figured out those. I've d/l some BIS p3d models and reverse engineered them. Crew placement will not be easy, but I'll get to it. I've got the czech/english translation in hand, but mispelling is easy and O2 isn't intuitive. I need to model a simplified 3D model for the Fire geometry LOD I think.

Thank you KyleSarnik, Â I have the learn to read between the line! (haha). The model is OK, I've just got some problem with LOD and stuff (otochHLaven, poklop_driver...). I didn't created a sub geometry for the fire geo lod too....

What is a "town flattering machine"? My Ontos is a actual vehicule that serve from 1953 to 1970. This ain't a town flattering machine.

Don't worry everyones... I'm actually working on the O2's scripting. Czech to english is painful and O2 is no 3DSM. I'm praying to have a OFP plugins in my 3DSM someday. Just imagine... modelling great 3D models, soldiers, vehicules, building, clicking here and there to define OFP specifics things and hit "send to OFP". Hope my dream come true some day. More later.

No prob KyleSarnik. I'm a little rusted with O2 stuff, but I put my first Ontos on wheel in OFP alone. Just give me clear indications and everything will be a smooth sail. By the way, do you know how to change the optic? I have to make a new texture for it. UPDATE: I found Baconbomb tutorial about making custom optics views for Operation Flashpoint...

Yes gandalf the white, if you look back some posts ago, many people suggest... -Woodland and desert camo -A wreked version -A resistance version -Improved armor and many other features... For now, the model is, must I say, completed. I'm just cleaning the geometry groups and stuff to make it easier for scripting. The M40A1 106mm RC Rifle fire standard HEAT but a special short range "jungle infantry cleaning" ammunition was developed called the "Beehive". And I still have the .50 problem. KyleSarnik suggest to use a already done MG. AS for carrying troops... think again... Anyway. This baby will hit the road soon.

Ok, i'm almost done. I had to remodel the M40, fix some minor bug and add a "personality" to it. Some pictures to come later.

Ok, I imported and refitted my old turret but I left the M40's as a reference for now. Â Those will be replaced by new ones. O2 picture 3DS Max picture Everything is fine for now, no textures or geometry problems. I added some vertices on tracks as requested. Some hinges needed for the front hatch, interior batteries textures and some .50 ammo casing. I don't know about the .50 MG. Since it's supposed to be operated hatch up. By the way, can I use bigger textures than 256x256? Could be useful to paint a none repeating camo.
