  1. We are a Dansih clan - and have been around since the first days of OFP. (March 2001) Since then we moved to ARMA and now we have began to play ARMA2. We are playing ARMA2, using millitary strategy and a well defined organisation. Arraging courses, clan fights, and big scale maneurvers for our members, on our - relyable and always running - dedicated server.   4. Hey Q, I made an Island for OFP a couple of years ago. And haven't got the energy to convert it to ARMA. Its representing Danish terrain, and was loved by the 21st Viking Battalion, as it was fairly detailed with villages, roads, airports and millitary bases (I did not release it for the public) Would you like to convert it, and use it in your ACEIP ?     Great that works !! Now I need the system to repport that it is no more Im using the radiomast in Sahrani GB-27 "Not alive ??" hint "Booom" (not name of the gamelogic apperently and not object219162 and not object 219162) Any suggestions ?

    Dedicated Server Beta available

    although it is a shame that you can no longer overwrite/delete mission files whilst the dedicated server process is running, the main benefit seems to be that all the maps are checked when the server first starts and any corrupted files are flagged on the console. NB. The server process fails to start if bad mission files are present at startup time. This is actually a big help as the server admin can be reasonably sure that the newly uploaded mission files have not been corrupted during the file transfer process without having to manually load each map from the ArmA game client. In our clan we have many mission builders, but only one server admin, that can controle the hardware. This means that we will be pounding the poor man every time we have a update. - Local server and dedi server are so different, that it is not possible to test missions local and be sure that they will work on a dedi server -The phrase "alright everybody, we are conna close the server for 5 minutes" will be used often and therefore hated by the members.

    - Clients are randomly crashing to desktop (windows suggesting bug repport) This was not an issue when using the "-server" on client software. - All missions are locked, while server is running (denying clients to update their missions via ftp) + Server is stable

    Problem: .jpg format 1024x1024 px 104 kb and works fine in Single play. When hosting a Multi player session it turns "All white" Anyone with the same problem ? And perhaps a solution ?

    Sometimes we use the far respawn -> loop setup.. normally on bigger missions (manouvres). On small squad misions behind enemy lines, it is not a good idea to have respawn as it shotens the replay-abillity lenght of the mission and therefore puts pressure on the MD to produce produce produce. BIS have made nice possibilities for non-respawn, Base respawn and Group respawn I hope that that they just make a new string for desciption.ext alike

    #reassign As the topic suggest I was talking about JIP and not mission design possibilities in general. What I ment was: The mission designer (person, not software) should be able to enable/ disable JIP after my opnion.

    First of all, sorry if this has already been asked. I have found some info about thrences, but I'm not so interested in them as much as roadside ditches. Besides mission maker, I'm building Islands. In OFP it is difficult to make true terrain as the points of elevation are to wide. Is the points of elevation smaller in Armed Assault ? In my millitary day's I tried to make an specific object where I could train tactics for real life. As I was a squad Leader and in a crises situation it would be my squads task to guard/ defend it. Many of the routes leading to the object (for unseen approach) is by roadside ditches or small streams. Many of these approches got lost in the "Island building" and therefore I could not use it for my purpose. But had a good fun making it anyway, though I ended up deleting it and made "Free fantasy" Danish terrain instead.

    Thanks a lot guys, for all the feedback. Does anyone have a link to some official info on this ? I think I've heard something at some point, but can't seem to find it. - The diff. square sizes on one map Does that mean that it will not be possible to convert exsisting islands to Armed Assault ?

    Different colours or not. Its still a stupid colour to use for an ammocrate. * I can see an officer/ mission-builder scratching his head thinking about where he can hide this crate in the forest so it looks natural. (Lets just say its ment for the ressistance guys to get them, but if the commies find them they can loot it as well) Mission briefing: Obj X: find the hidden ammo crates located in the forest But in our Btn. we often use human controlled enemies and it will be to easy for them to accedently find the crates The above is taken from an specific situation used in one of our Candidate missions.

    Well the colour on the Ammo boxes for OFP was quite fine. So they actually can make it alright, if they want.

    Whos kid has coloured those ammo-boxes ? No army with any respect for them selves, would pick such a coulour.
