I'd much rather have a game on DVD, more efficient, and I don't like having 4 CD's for one game... it confuses me.

Title: Chemical Warfare Author: Asmodeus Brief Description (Asmo's BTW): You are the commander of a highly regarded Delta unit whose mission is to attack and destroy a Chemical Weapons manufacturing Facility on an enemy Island. You must also locate some secret documents vital to our operations in rescuing the Rangers lost in Operation City of the Dead. Intelligence reports these documents are on an Officer in the base and they are reputed to have information leading to the location of the hostages... One of my favorite missions, I must have played it 10 or more times... just a good mix between action and story, very cool indeed.. http://www.ofpec.com/missions/mission_detail.php?ID=711

Looking excellent, can't test it ATM but it looks quite nice. -
And... you won't just notice a performance gain in OFP, you'll be able to do more things at once, and have more things going on at the same time. Simply put, more RAM is one of the best things for your PC.

It is popular......in Europe, BIS made Resistance because they sold over 1 million copies of CWC. It just never got popular in the US. It's a shame, really, but true. In the beginning, it was much more popular than now... it's slowly declining. I don't think many people have the time and patience to get used to OFP.. It's not really a bad thing, in retrospect, it keeps a dedicated and supportive fanbase, with very few bad apples left.

Interesting... would be cool to see it in action.

You can pick your weapons... then either add a suppresor or a scope... or a drum mag... This would be rather awesome, but when are you going to find a box of silencers?

Hello everybody, first let me introduce myself: My name is Petra and I’m an editor at GameStar, Europe’s biggest pc-gaming-magazine. Right now I’m working on an article about games, that are already forgotten -- among normal players. What I want to put emphasize on, is that there are games, that are technically outdated, but still have a big fan-community that supports the game, adds new features etc. For that I need statements from players and – more important – from people that create new content. In the statements I like to read, why you stick to that game after all this years. What’s so fascinating about it? So, if you like to tell me, why Operation Flashpoint is still one of your favourites and why you support that game, please let me know. The mail-address is: pet@gamestar.de And please, could you add your real name to the mail? That’s important for the quotes in the article. Thanks in advance, Petra I thought I would post this here, seeing as there are many more OFP fans that no longer visit OFPEC regulary.

Alright, I hope we can compile a list of questions we want answered the most. Please, only questions which are reasonable... My List: 1. Do you plan to fix the current limitations of one gunner per vehicle? 2. Is it planned to add more functionality to the scripting side of OFP, such as adding individual ammo, etc. 3. What are your planned updates to the graphics and the physics for OFP2? 4. How far along is development? (In my dreams.... )

Do the glasses work well? I've always wondered about buying them... not sure because I have always doubted them.

Need an army of animators & animations

Hmm... actually, I have no idea what Ctrl and Esc is supposed to do, so I don't know what to make of this. I use it like Alt-Tab, like pressing the windows key. -
If he truly cared about the religion, he wouldn't be off and killing thousands of innocent people.

Are you using ECP or Y2K3? Sounds like the ECP save bug. That was my first thought.... however it could just be an OFP problem, when saving a mission with many arrays and variables, the save game often will not work... which is why I believe the ECP bug was so common. In this missions case, it would sound as if there is a lot of information being saved. While not really something that can be truly fixed... I believe that is what is causing your problem.

Cool... I'll try to spread the word around if you would like...

I agree it is sad, but we have had the argument already in the proper thread. I would recommend we keep it there.
-
I don't think you can really compare the two.. seeing as one was based on people's preconvieved notions about a particular race, while the other is based on what people believe and their morals.
-
I don't like it either... but it has to stay balanced....

America mac, I'm from the east coast as well, and I have Comcast, but I don't remember seeing anything related to OFP in their commercials.

Looking awesome, really looking forward to the update... Any details on planned new units or updates? -
It seems all my questions were pointless, seeing as they all have been answered... but some more.. -Will weapons still be handled the same? (Position of hands, texture used for muzzle flash) -Will there be more than one animation type for each movement? -Will soldier models height vary?

The OFPEC room is pretty good, on quakenet...
