Hi, I'm new, so I don't know if this idea has been suggested/declined/invented or whatever, so please bear with me. Â
I had recently purchased C+C : Renegade, and I like the fact how each team would have its own base and the objective was to destroy the enemy base. Â Is it possible to apply this concept to Operation Flashpoint? Â I mean, wouldn't it be cool for each base to have its own Airport in which A-10s respawn in the hangers? Â Wouldn't it be awesome to a massive 20 ft. walls surrounding each base with guard towers on each corner equipped with M2s? Â The base could also have a main gate and a helipad etc...
The bases could be placed very far from each other, or it could be a little closer, but not so close in which the game is over in just 10 minutes. Â It would be awesome to have sneak chinook drop-offs close by the base and have a commando regiment sneak into the base (imagine the great night missions). Â There could be a limit on the number of vehicles. Â There could be a vehicle spawn (similar to the vehicle spawn in WW2 OL) for tanks/jeeps/AFV etc... Â Ammo crates would be scattered, and the supply trucks could have their own special spawn (as you can see, I was hoping the base would be fairly large). Â Infantry could spawn at their own base, and there could even be a little "porta potty houses" in which player could get other players in each house if they want to organize a coordinated attack together. Â

Jim : Rob, come in porta potty house # 2 with me, no one is in there.
Rob : K, hey Bob, bring Joey and Matt, our airbone boys, to porta potty house # 2, we are going to launch a coordinated attack with our tank boys.
Joey + Matt: K
Jim : Hey Josh, tell our tank boys to come in porta potty
# 2, we are going to do a coordinated attack with our airbone boys.
Josh : K, Tank squad Alpha, report to house # 2, Ranger squad Bravo, gear up, we're going in.
Yeah, I know I took it over the line a little, and not that many people are going to be so strategic, but some of us might use these houses frequently... Â
Also, there could be a lot of forest, and roads, and broken cities, and homes, and villages.... Â The more debris inbetween the bases, the better. Â The walls shouldn't be destructable, the game would be over too quickly with chopper rushes... Â Instead, it would be better if the buildings could be destroyed, and "respawn" like 5 minutes later (important buildings such as a helipad, and an airport) which could render air support unavailable. Â It would even be better if the admin could choose destructable buildings "on/off" himself. Â There would be a flag that would have to be captured and brought back to your base (yup, another CTF map) but it would be a lot more fun and not so confusing.
There should be a main "highway" that would lead straight to the base for those that despise sneak attacks, but it would be the enemy's responsibility to defend their base from the main route. Â
