The action itself is indefensible either morally or according to International and Human Rights laws (granted there's not a lot of complicity to any when it comes to this conflict). Worldwide (with the possible exception of a few banana republics) the armed forces take an oath to protect civilian populations, it's not the Palestinian's "job" to protect the IDF. The IDF is engaged in "a war" as they have stated themselves, therefore there shouldn't be a need to take along a collection of civilians to protect themselves. I think it's speaks volumes as to how both sides have degenerated into hate and distrust and that the real need for third-party intervention is needed more than ever. and as far as the IDF using Israeli Civilians to knock on the door of suspected individuals, let's face it there's not a great likelihood it would happen is there? and therefore it's a moot point. don't get me wrong I live nowhere near that part of the world and I'm not flag waving for either "side". It "appears" to me however that the moral highground is somewhat ambiguous.

"A teenage Palestinian, Nidal Abu M'khisan was shot dead on Wednesday night after being forced by Israeli soldiers to go to the door of a house sheltering a Hamas militant in Tubas. Leading Israeli human rights group B'Tselem issued a statement denouncing the action, shortly before the army sparked fresh condemnation by shooting dead a five-year-old Palestinian boy. ..... A number of government ministers told Israeli media that the country was in a war situation, and sometimes the lives of Palestinian civilians had to be endangered, to prevent attacks in Israel, or to protect Israeli soldiers." news/bbc.co.uk I'm sure the boy's parent's could see it that way.

error message about missing image when using the Strella (East) AA, picture missing on briefing page. Bizon aim is poor (for some reason) Bus driver AI is poor (an example of this is the Bus Stop at Lukov? where the bus has to turn, it end's up ramming a building even if set at "safe" or "Careless" and given multiple waypoints. If Resistance is friendly to West, civillian Police will shoot and Kill East Soldiers, but East will not return fire resulting in a policeman being able to wipe out an entire squad. If AT or RPG's fired at and empty M1A1, then player boards the M1A1 no Dammage is recorded, I suspect this is only applicable to the M1A1 because it can survive three RPG's, but I've not tested the T80.

I like that BIS have put some real effort into listening to folks wants and have produced a Addon pack that's not just a cynical way of draining hard working folks cash!. nice one guys, i'd have paid double the price (sort out the handgun tracers if you do nothing else!!
-
yeah the scream's of my wounded and dying where terrible!. I think the easiest way was the "withdraw to town" method, but mind you when I say easy I mean that there's a good chance at least you yourself might survive!.
-
nice review, but they got the "can't put down AT weapons" wrong course you can!, you need to select it first!.
-
I think your main hassle is Mission 3, you should be able to get a T-72 and a T-80. move your tank up to the hill looking down on the town and start blasting with HEAT, then order your grenade fellas to start firing, once they've finished and are going in guns blazing send in your two tanks for support. switch to SABOT and start picking off tanks, there will be two tanks coming along the coast road to your north, make sure these are deal with quickly or they could cause a lot of grief. you think that's tough, the mission following that "the couter attack" is a peach!.
-
Call for yer boy's just before you take out the guys guarding the tanks, Jump in the t80 as gunner, change to HEAT and start blasting the hill with the russian camp get yer boy's into each tank, assign some with drivers only then get them to follow you up towards the castle, drive round the castle and head for the waypoint. no need to engage the russian reinforcements! who will be coming from your east. (am I a man or a mouse...... pass the cheese please!!

I can only assume it's commerical based decision, after all imagine the uproar if it was the other way about!. If we were to take this to the extreme: in the original campaign it should have been NATO and not soley the American's that played the part of the Western forces, but I suspect it wouldn't have sold as well in the US of A. Still for a bit of therapy create three squads of unarmed resistance fighters and arm yourself with a Bizon!

To be honest in a game representing human conflict someone somewhere is going to get ticked off. I'm sorry to see the Russian's getting "it" in this instance, but the vast majority of level headed gamers realise that it's purely to create an A versus B conflict regardless of the nationality. I'll lay ten to one odd's that the Germans get ticked off about "Medal of Honor", "Wolfenstein", and "Commandos 1 & 2". The good thing about Flashpoint is the Editor were you can reverse the tables as much as you like. I can say with hand on heart when I stop playing this game I have no ill feelings towards the Russian people and or their military.
