I hate to bring mommy into this but what the hell   My mother has been the lead procurment buyer for Douglas/Rockwell/Boeing in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the last jeeze I cant count the years, since the days of douglas. I also couldnt even begin to count the times she has made trips to suppliers in canada. Its been alot. The canadians do have a thriving aerospace industry that we americans, believe it or not, actually depend on. Now Im not saying this bill is wrong, but in my opinion we need to be "buying american" as much as possible. Our economy isnt the best its been and Im sure everyone will agree to that, times are hard. I think maybe the world has been acustomed to america as a rich and powerful country that can lend hands economicaly whenever it wants, right now this is not the case. We need to focus on our at-home needs more than policing and finacialy supporting other countries, even if it means buying an extra billion dollars worth or pylons, honeycomb core, and aircraft aluminum from joe in longbeach, CA rather than someone else in canada. Im also pretty sure those crooked congressmen have alot to do with it, but it could give certain parts of the US a much needed boost of jobs/income so it cant be all bad.

The only conflict you should get is if the server is using checkFiles to compare CRC values to origional BIS Su-25. Config is the origional BIS Su-25...

Hmm, maybe klink has a much better computer than I do. Â As this version clearly lags on my 1 ghz where the old version didnt. I opened and compared the pbos and didnt see any major scripting/cpp changes so I doubt thats the problem. My opinion, Jpegs is a horrible idea for an addon. Suma said it himself, they require more of my computers "limited" resources. This addon uses jpegs well over 512X256, there are 1024X1024 and even 2048X2048!. Thats not good enev on a 64Mb geforce when it has to do all that extra computing. Even if the file sizes are half with jpeg Im sure the extra conversion processes put on the video card, cpu, and virtual memory are 4 times more intensive than a mear 32 Kbs of file size. Dont forget what else suma said... This addon also only uses 2 resolution LODS, 1.0 and 150. I dont even think my computer will run a viewdistance capable of using a 150 LOD. Minmapping definatly plays a part in this lag issue for me. -
I seem to have a problem, Im being told that there is a jammer on this addon. I must have something conflicting with it somewhere, grrr...

Beautiful job on the chopper. Does this chopper have a radar jammer in real life? It would be a good addition to the addon I think to balance the comanchee. Any plans on adding your jammer to it? Also I almost popped a woody during that start up sequence, any plans on updating the comanchee with the startup sequence? Maybe redo the HUD with those new gauges you made? Looking forward to the final mi28 . And Jag, hurry up with that campaign allready

The lag problem is more than likely because hawk made the very bad descision of using jpeg textures this time, nothing will eat your memory faster... -

That wont work, he cant even show me in MP game. How can I trust his test if he wont even show me myself? You know you could just end this right now by downloading the F18 trying it with a friend in MP on local or dedicated server. use the agvdebugcustomaddon=true in an init and watch all the scripts run local on your machine. Then if thats not good enuf dePbo it and look at the scripting, its all commented for easy reading. It works. Its worked for 4 months and now all the sudden bratty seems to have a bug that only runs on his system for some strange reason.

We gave you the solution. There are actually a few addons out there bratty that run scripts global. You just being to bigheaded to look at the way its done, or maybe you just cant figure it out. Who am I slamming? I called you a bugger eating moron. Your not people, your a person. I tried being nice untill you started trying to make crap ass comments about some bug that still to date only YOU have noticed on your setup. LMAO who said it was perfect, I said your talking crap about it not running everything its supposed local in MP. I know it has problems. Why do you think were releasing a v1.2? You need to grow up and learn to accept help when its offered to you bratty, your name says it all. soldier1 setFuel 1 LMAO! And in my opinion BAS is not the do all be all gods of scripting, they are good but Rasta at DKM is much more advanced in my opinion. There are alot better scripters out there then those working on BAS addons.

I really love what was done with the editor and menus, the choice of font is much better IMO. The layout of controls makes for a tid bit more editing space if im not mistaken also. Im not going to get a chance to play the missions till tomorrow but im real excited and anxiously waiting to get the chance. -

In all distance LODs make a new entry in the "Named Properties" window, in the top line add LODnoShadow and the second line enter a 1. In your very last distance LOD you need to have a model 300 or less polys. Do not add the LODnoShadow to this LOD. You will now have a working shadow.

As Im sure many of you have noticed ingame at times the missiles in OFP have a serious limit as to how far and fast they can turn. Shooting AA guided rockets at other flying aircraft usually ends up in a miss ingame. Even worse is trying to hit an opponent with a side shot. Well no more! Im proud to announce the first missile in OFP with a working proximity fuse. Just get that missile within 15 meters and KABOOM! With pennywises new proximity fuse script being introduced soon in the F18 v1.2 release, you can fire at your target with alittle more assurance your gonna get a hit. Here are a couple screenshots to show you the effect.... Here is the v1.0 release of the F18 shooting an AMRAAM at a Su25 from a side angle. and in this shot the missile has passed by the target :-( leaving you helpless as the enemies wingman has now manuvered to your six and your AA warning light is buzzing... Now we have all seen that ingame many times Im sure. The missile comes O so close but just dosent make contact. Well in real life with most AA missiles you just got to get close. Kinda like horseshoes and hand grenades. Now for the new Hornet with the proximity fused AMRAAMs (taken about 1 billionth of a nano second before detonation, got lucky with this shot).... And after the missile comes within 15 meters of the target... No more bad guy! Thats more like it, missiles that actually hit something. No more "No fair, I only missed you by 6 inches". With the proximity script the average hit per missile during testing was around 80%. Thats againts AI flying aircraft without working countermeasures. Against players with working countermeasures it can still be a challenge to hit that often, some splash dammage will usually occur though. Scripts were designed and heavily tested in MP so get your buddies ready for some serious MP AA action!

You can do all the texture work in 3dsmax and import the whole enchilada, textures also, into O2. Just make sure your maps are correct OFP sizes before importing. Scorpio made a little tutorial thread around here somewhere on how to import 3dsmax w/textures into o2. Try searching the documentation forum see if you cant find it.

Bratty your the only person in 3 and a half months to mention this problem. Stop saying that the F18 dosent work. Nobody has ever reported this before. If it were an MP problem then it would be very well known and anyone could confirm your findings. Its not broke, yours is, we gave you the code to fix it. Its up to you weather or not you want your addon to preform in MP. We are not the ones starting "Cpp exec global script" threads asking for help here, you are. We dont need the help because ours works, anyone that has used it in MP should sit there and wonder what you did to get those results in your pic. Send me you broken addon and I guarantee Ill have it working in less time than we have been sitting bitching weather or not "Getin" execs. If you would just use the damn code you would see it works.
