For more then one year there was no news regarding OFP 2. (last news item on March 8th 2003) I'm creating this thread only to hear if bis is still working on the game or not. I don't need to know when it's done - just "if" it's done. (in a time within 2-3 years from now) So i won't give up the hope that someone of the dev's will put an X on the following setences: [ ] Yes, we are still working on OFP2! [ ] No, we are working on OFP Xbox, we ll work on OFP 2 after release [ ] OFP2? whats that? [ ] nananaaaa ... we wount tell ya Btw, sorry 4 the question aggain, but due to the lack of news there's no other topic u can discuss about :-) So please be lenient to me Moderators!

@Vektorboson: The only sentence conerning OFP2 in that discussion is the following sentence: Ok, you "may" take that as an agrument that they're still working on it - but who knows 4 sure?

The sad thing isn't that it's not shown on E3, the that thing is the conclusion about this fact: Like They said they won't show it on E3 cause the developement is not in a state that they could show something. So with this info i don't believe ina release date arround early 2005. Even Battlefield 2 (which should be ready early 2005) has lot of screens and movies on the E3. The only info i want to have (from an BI official) is: Are they still working on OFP2 and if yes: whats the new planned release date. *still crossing fingers* Hotkey

Hi! The german news page Daddeln.de hast just posted the List (klick) of games which will be presented at the upcoming E3. Sadly Flahspoint 2 is not listed there :-( I have hoped to see at least some screenshots ...

Got this error Message (actually i dont geht this message, but the task in the taskmanager gets named like this) everytime i start a ofp dedi server (using 1.96 standalone) ... Anybody can help me out with this ? Edit : The dedi server window appears saying "Dedicated Server created" but there doesn't appear a second line and the server didn't get visible ...

Hi all, Just a short question: I have in mind that there was a project (few years ago ;-) ) to convert the original campaign to multiplayer coop. So my question : Have i dreamed this or is the original campaing as coop available ? - Would be great ! Thanks in advance for your help...

Hi all ! I've got a problem when i want to play RTS. When i try to choose a map - for example rts3@ everon it says missing addon file 88. I've downloaded the addons via the ofp watcher tool - what have i done wrong ? Note : i'm using 1.94Beta ... Thanks in advance !

Hi ! Serious problem here : Anytime i start Operation Flashpoint, i get a black screen after the logos of codemasters and BI's appeared. With Resistance and latest Patch installed i get till the menu, but in the menu i get a CTD (Crash to desktop) within a few seconds. Before someone thinks in this way "I've got the original Flashpoint and Resistance" - so no fade (should activate) "should", cause this effect feels close to how Fade is described ... I've got the latest direct X and Version 1.91 installed. Also the latest Graphic Drivers installed (Nvidia G-Force 4). I want to play in LAN with my Friends at this moment - so i appreciate any fast help ! Thanks in advance Hotkey

thanks 4 the fast answer, i've tried that before - the only matching hint is the one with the vertical refresh rate - but the there mentioned solution doesn't solve the problem. Any other solutions ?

i got following problem with the turrets when running my map on a dedicated server: Independent from the direction of the units their turrets are all pointing to north. This looks very strange, especially when you put the units in a shed. Looks kinda funny when the abrahams f.e. is directed to west, and its turret is pointed to north. The units all are all empty. When i preview the map, or start the map on my own machine with Multiplayer -> create everything works fine (turrets are pointing at same direction than the unit). But when i run the map on a dedicated server the effect described above shows up. Is there any solution to this one ? I use OFP with Resistance ...

Hi there, I played my new map Yesterday with 8 men on I-Net and there wasn't any Lag all the time ! So this new Net Code really kicks ass :-) But unfortunately the Script which counts the points runs out of Sync. It counts east and west points according to 6 boolean variables which are changed during the game by the players. It shows the score every 2 Minutes. After 15-20 Minutes everybody has different points for the 2 sides (east/west) - The effect gets stronger the longer the game runs. Now to my Question : Is there a workaround for my problem. F.e. a Script which only runs on the server ? I've put my Script to the end of the post. Hi there ! Is there any way to choose the day time on the multiplayer briefing screen like in other missions the score or the time to play ? (f.e. day and night) I've seen this in a map but don't know how to do this. This has something to do with the titleparam settings in the description.ext file, but i don't know how exactly to do this. Thanks for help ! -
Hi there ! I got the following Problem with resistance. Everytime when i start the Mission Editor and select a Map It returns me after "Receiving..." directly to the Desktop with no further message. Same thing happens when i click on "Create" in Multiplayer menu. Some Single Missions (Resistance) run first - but crashes me randomly to desktop after some minutes as well. I haven't had such problems before with OFP (running Version 1.46). I've removed all Daemon Tools and Programs like "Nero Check" completely from my System and reinstalled OFP and Resistance, but that didn't helped either. I tried also to play arround with the settings in OFP preferences but no solution this way :-( My Specs : Int. P III 850 - 512 MB RAM - G-Force 2 MX I've got the latest Nvidia Drivers installed and Direct X 8.1. OS is Windows XP. Has anybody else these Problems or could anybody help me out with this one ?

Yeah ! Got massive Problems too! Everytime i click on "create multiplayer game" or when i choose the new Island in mission editor it crashes me back to desktop without any message ... My specs : OFP version 1.46 and multiplayer tests installed OFP Resistance installed. Win XP Int. PIII 850 512 MB Ram G-Force 2MX Will try to install everything new ... will see if this helps ... But according to the "what to do before installing resistance" i don't have much hope ...
