    Public Beta Patch 1.07.5154

Can you try updating DirectX utility libraries using DX Web Installer to see if this helps? (Please, do not respond "I know I have the latest DirectX", but try installing from that website even if you think it is not needed). The Problem is that he uses Windows 2000 (as I do). I get the same error and I get similar errors with other games, that are not compatible with Windows 2000. I would have a question considering this. Can we expect that w2k compatibility will be restored in the final version or not? I know w2k users are probably a small minority these days so I understand if developers don't bother about it. But I just wonder what we can expect if anything. that prob has been fixed check out [WWS]WarWolf post on page 15

@[WWS]WarWolf my bad did not notice its was win2k but your right in what you say there is no reason for them to do it apart from getting ppl to slowly give up win2k for xp or vista but i also bet thats what they will do with xp in time anyway ill keep in eye open im always reading stuff very little posts lots of reading and if i come across anyway to solve it ill let you know

    Public Beta Patch 1.07.5154

hi just found this not sure if i can post links but here goes h**p://www.toymaker.info/Games/html/d3dx_dlls.html In addition XINPUT dlls may be missing (this is the Xbox controller system). Unfortunately the end user is not automatically downloading the new dlls. The best solution is to distribute the DirectX runtime with your app. however if you are providing your app. as a download this could increase its size. From the June 2005 release Microsoft solved these problems somewhat by allowing the developer to create a minimal installer that just updates the D3DX dll. You could also of course just include the dll. although this is against the agreement (EULA). Another solution is to forward users to the Microsoft DirectX end user runtime download.

1.05. Be happy you have it.

Ill start by saying hello to everyone. Ive been reading posts on the forum for weeks now but never joined. As i did not have the game so had nothing to say about it............ but now ive purchased it. I dont understand why anyone would be happy in getting something even early if its not finished. If you got a Film and the end was missing or a album with skipping tracks wouldent you complain. Well its no different here. Im not saying that i dont like the game or i would not have got it. Even after all the reports about how bad it played and the bugs that where there for a lot of ppl. I played Ofp when it first came out but then put it away as it was unplayable for me at that time.... Just started it (wicked Game ). Anyway i myself feel that the publishers play a part as with any media as to when things are released to there customers. I too have problems with this game but after reading a lot of stuff on here there nothing that has not already been talked about. But if i find something i will tell the world well this forum .... well anyone that will read it But Im not going to get into it now. Only to say that I agree with stabiz in part. And say that the world would be a sad place if everyone just rolled over and said nothing.
