Well, my problem is that I use two modelling apps: 3DS Max and ZBrush and going back to O2 is an unbelivable torture. Config is pretty comprehendable but O2 gives me headaches. That's why I stick to modelling + making textures and offering them to others to make addons out of it. That's seem a good deal for me.

I dont think this would be something a mod-team could make. It requires support for an extra X- and an extra Y-axis. Thats pretty much it. For those still wondering what the Trackir is and what it can do, check out the movies for any of the games listed here. you must admit that community gave you (BIS) a few surprices. Anyway, as I said support it enginewise and someday just "plug it" in.

OFP Addon making is a tricky subject for several reasons. 1. It is modible unlike any other app to-date. That's a + 2. It lacks docs, serious tools (O2 may be easy but it's like painting with your feet), pluggins, exporters. That's a - So, in order to make sth amazing, you must poses stamina, patience, talent obviously and lots and lots of guts.

Poll that seems a complete disaster? Well, i would suggest to "open the door" for track ir in the next OFP apps, so that it could be either introduced in a patch or developed by a modding group. That would require some serious docs for it, though. Either way I would leave it for now.

Here come my two cents. I mostly don't agree with you on BF2. It is a pretty decent game with some flaws but it's enjoyable. UNlike CS or DOOm3 which are very limited in its variety of possible player roles. It isn't impressive, could run smoother and it will never replace OFP in terms of battlefield simulation. It was never supposed to replace or even compete. It is just another "army shooter" that gives sth above the avarage. That's about it.

I've tried only M4 Sopmod and it is there. The aimpoint I mean and it is fucked up "tears of the sun" style. It has pretty nice red-dot glow. It runs smooth on my system: 2,8HT 1GB DDR 400, 9800 PRO on highest res (1280x960) and medium details (background pretty heavy apps running) If I spen more that 5 min on it I let you know more + screens.
