Now I stated this was for airsoft however it does relate to the real M-16 as well. Lately I went out and purchased myself a M16A4 airsoft, or to be precise a Classic Army Armalite M15A4 rifle with upgrades to 450 FPS. But my general question here starts when I want to add an M203 grenade launcher to it (Airsoft replica of it) and I can't say I have had any luck finding what I seek under that catagory. I have located an M203 grenade launcher, or rather two types that could be used but both of them features a problem I don't want. I prefer the M16 look with a M203 but with the stock handguard, no RIS style rail and not the vented handguard we see on the M16A2 in Flashpoint. Looking around for alternatives that allows me to mounting has made me look outside the airsoft group and into what is offered for the real AR-15 line of weapons, seeing as my airsoft rifle is a true replica of the real deal exterior wise I do not see much of a problem finding something and bolting it on. What you can call my roll call here is for those who knows the AR-15 series of rifles and especially those who has handled the M203 if they are aware of any rails out there that can be used? I have located one made by RM Systems, called "Interbar" that serves my purpose fairly well, problem is I cannot find anybody that sells it. I have a last option in the M203 department and that is purchasing an extra set of handguards and cutting them to accomodate the launcher. Link to the M203 systems I am looking at: The M203 mounts The M203 launcher I am greatful for any help I can get on this matter.

I don't really understand your problem. With those 2 kits you should be able to fit the M203 on your gun the way you want right? It will fit allright, but the problem is the fact that I have to use the new handguard type on top. Let me show the difference on the real deal: Here is the M16 with a M203 but this gun has the front grip that I do not want on my gun at all. M16 M203, standard army issue handguard Here we got a 3D model representing the way I want the M203 to look like (To some extent at least): M16 M203 with the standard handguard As you can see, I want to retain my standard handguard on the gun while still mounting a M203. The main problem is that the M203 mounts I showed earlier on requires me to remove the handguard and put on the holed type that you see earlier in this post. The other option is the RIS rail that gives me a 20mm rail to bolt on a M203 however that also screws up the original handguard that I seek to retain. I have found this however, but no place where they sell it: http://www.rm-equipment.com/ They have the interbar that seems to be a snap on rail that allows for 20mm bolt ons. I have no problem getting an airsoft M203 with a 20mm rail designed for RIS systems, but then I would require this rail that RM Equipment sells which I have yet to locate a store for.

Thanks for the thread, but my question also relates to the AR15 series in general, meaning the real deal that loads .223 or 5.56mm NATO. As I probably will have to look for accessories made for the real M16.

I have recently heard that the Mi-24 Hind cannot Hover. Is this true? The reason for this was said to be the wings generating downforce due to the rotor wash. But I cannot make all the calculations fit in this case. If it is true, is it fixed on later models? Like the Mi-35?

This may be a bit on the borderline of the rules but I am not looking at promoting a warez discussion by this. In fact I am actually on this discussion to determine if OFP 2 is going to be a good buy for my computer, well onto the point then. There have been travelling around a tool that was made to counter the effects of StarForce. With that tool a readme was included. Careful research by the developers had determined that StarForce was a very agressive copy protection, the way it operates is quite well... Awful. It interferres with a part of the computer nothing should even think of touching, the IDE array. The results of the tampering and reseting that StarForce does to the array to check for legal copy has other harmful effects. I have seen first hand experience and felt the effects of these drivers, they have been corrupting a partition table for me as well as rendering other programs and drivers unuseable. It can corrupt data in some cases due to the way it works with the IDE array and that is a risk I am no longer willing to take. Maybe this is more of question to the developers what they chose to go with. I will buy OFP 2 but ONLY and mark me on these words ONLY if it has a different copy protection than StarForce. If you chose to go with StarForce I will not buy the game, not even with a M16 pointed at my head, because in my eyes that copy protection is classified as a virus! Starforce = I normally don't care what kind of protection is used, but when it comes to StarForce I have learned too much about it to look away.

How do i get an ammo crate to start on a building?
General Mcclintock posted a topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Well running the first few beta tests on LAN with my convoy mission we had to transport weapons to a rooftop to prepare an ambush, problem is, something allways goes wrong, so if I could park an ammo crate on the roof carrying the weapons it would be easier for us all. But, I have another problem too, my perfectly engineered briefing shows up in the preview in the editor, all works (Links etc, etc) But once I fire it up in MP it is gone, like it never was there, what is wrong? -
Close, really close, DID it was yes, based on the same graphics engine, It was actually Total Air War, I had lots of fun with that game.

Well I got 2 questions related to my ambush in Petrovice. I need some vehicles, some tanks a truck and a Vulcan to move as a convoy, problem is that they drive more off road than on road, and secondly, their spacing is a mile off, they need to be closer, they will drive into a locked off street where the players (Multiplayer coop map) will open up on the rear and front tank, trapping the convoy. However, I am in need of a convoy script for resistance and now for the second one. How do I make the triggers synced so that once the convoy and infantery is eliminated using Chechen tactics some gunships and infantery will arrive in the town turning the tables to defense. I tried some way but they still keep coming too early while I am still working on the convoy. Any way to fix that?

Convoy scripts
General Mcclintock replied to General Mcclintock's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Well, only thing is that their spacing is too huge, they drive with a fairly big opening between them. -
All I say is this, Crack this one people:
-
I think there is one, but it goes under a different name? Not sure... It can help speeding up OFP that is.

I need no extra software to keep windows in line. All I need is what Windows themselves included, Msconfig. Start -> Run Type "Msconfig" without the quotes and voila. Anyways, I got EPoX USDM system monitor running (Don't want to fry my processor yet) SoundStorm utillity and some Hercules Smart TV stuff, part disabled, but thats it, got lots of memory, all I need to is to work on XP's internal functions, but I need to find a list first, don't want to run gung ho and disable something I need.

Well, if Troska dies, I altered the campaign, But Troska wasn't alone, Guba died, he took a Sabot round in his tank, the Americans were allready there waiting... Guba walked into the trap.
-
Well, I got a better one, park right in the opening, I did, in a Mammoth Tank though, guess that is a magic tank addon, yeah I modified the campaign slightly after hitting the Scrap mission where I cursed on the lack of a silenced gun. (Cheated a bit there, I used a AMC Silenced PSG-1, later I found out that staying behind and killing the Spets Natz at the very first mission actually allowed you to get a Bizon, problem is, helicopters.

...That has addons. well I look for a T-90 tank, yup that russian counterpart to the M1 Abrams. Not to start discussing tanks, I am looking for one for either OFP 1.46 (Most happy) and 1 for OFP resistance, latest version, so actually it doesn't matter. I am also hoping some of you know OFP addon sites. Besides gamesdepot.cz and operationflashpoint.org Like to collect ya know ;)

(un)expected occurences with other ofp players
General Mcclintock replied to The Frenchman's topic in OFFTOPIC
Dangerous thing about playing with mods online, you kill them "THAT IS A 2 WEEK PR AND PERHAPS A BAN!!!" So if you see a mod, make it look fair... Okay a sick joke, I have yet to play it online, too busy being tactical in Urban Chaos, a Jagged Alliance 2 mod. As for meeting OPF players, well I have seen some in other forums every now and then, FA forums springs to mind but not any names. -

The GeforceFX cards use the same unified drivers as the older cards and the image quality in the new 52.16 is much better than before. There are still some bugs but they are a change to better. I'll show you the proof in my opened Detonator FX... Yes I have a few sets of modefied drivers, I am currenly using a Quadro4 allowed set of detonators 41.03's I'll get you a screenshot of this FX thingy that clearly says it.
-
Yup... Both on and off, I guess the only things not affected is caps lock and scroll lock.
-
But when you have to start the campaign all over againt due to an error it isn't as funny, it is better to get it all, revert to the mission you were and keep on playing!

I forgot to add that ATi HAS changed with their drivers, so has Nvidia. NV has made a change for the bad, recently their drivers have been stripped for graphics quality to get the FPS in benchmarks. They are playing on their reputation on present time. Also after their cheating on the benchmarks they tried again, this time with a screenshot detector so when you took a screenshot in the game the card increased the quality for a short second and then go back to normal. I will see if I can find the article that I read back then. Especially the detonator 50.xx was horrible, stripped a lot of quality, not so strange Valve warned against them. Also the FX PCB (What the card is built on) is not good. Another proof of the NV you can see on the detontor size. The FX cards doesn't use the unified driver with the older cards such as the GF4 series. They have their own config files and own driver file, that consumes a lot download space... I can confirm that myself when I checked the detonator drivers.
-
I think it gives you a file with a lot of funny numbers that represents height... Can be pretty big though. I tried that cheat thing again, I got something that changed though, it zoomed a little bit in when I pressed minus and when I released it it went back to normal. Same with the method you presented Avon.

May I warn you not to? http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/5700/index.htm Well only some cards tend to fail, I know a lot of people that has them and they have only failed on them for one reason. They burned out the core on overclocking. Or melted them by pushing them to far in speed. If you are looking for a real banger for your money a Radeon 9800 non pro from Hercules or Built By ATi. The Herc has excellent cooling and can be a Radeon 9800 Pro with just some replacement software. The Built By ATi one, lacks the cooling as the Herc has, however, it makes up for that in customer service. A great overclocker burned out his 9700 Pro suspected due to a motherboard failure sent it in and in a few days he got a new one back. Thats ATi people, Nvidia suffers from performance because they optimise their cards for different games, primary those that handles benchmarking. But they can't optimise for every game out there, so whenever there arrives something new, FX starts coughing and ATi rushes past them. And recently a lot of people have bought ATi cards, just be careful with who you pick your card from, that is very important. Also do I need to add that the FX series sucks in DX 8.1 and especially DX 7? That means that an ATI will run Flashpoint better.

Power Color is rumored to be called Power problems. Reason: They go cheap on cooling such as their 9800 Pro, cheapest there is but it is clocked lower than other 9800 Pro's. Also they seem to make simple not solid quality designs... Tried RadTweak? Also availible from the same site, Like I said this sounds like there is a small driver issue or something with the core... Hmmm, <--- I know I have been doing this a lot lately. Have you tried the rage 3D forums? Personally I don't own an ATi card and I am not proud of that. But I have been around those cards for a while, I got an user ID at Rage3d.com I think they know the 9600's more than me. I will check with a few local hardware sites, where we "Vikings" Talk.

ATi all the way here, I know what my next card is going to be. Actually I have to choices, but out of those it had to be ATi with their Radeon 9800 and 9600. Reason? http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NTE5LDI= I guess that official HL2 benchmark speaks more than words. I also have another card in my rear pocket that I want. http://www.xgitech.com/products/products_duo.htm XGI duo or in other words, dual GPU. For the technical geek, a more close up of this dual GPU baby: http://www.xgitech.com/products/products_duo_features.htm The picture has the Heatsink fans removed, so you meet the chip in person, but not undressed. Let the graphics war begin!
