Nope, all my other games run great... Maximum Resolution & Settings. Oh well, I think I have found a nice balance on Arma that I'm satisfied with.

Bullet Fire and Flight Model in 1.02
Goldenwings2002 replied to Raz0rx's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Careful Universel, you might get banned for talking about a registry "banned" key for "test" purposes. Also, I wouldn't post a "virgin" playerID because you never know what the cheaters can do with keygens these days. They just might be able to create something off your player id and then you'll really be screwed. It seems there was nothing wrong after all. This gun fire spread only happens in CQB (1-10m). If I use the iron sights at any distance, all is great. -
I guess I could fire up my game again and see if Shadow can help me. Must i post my specs again? *Sigh* Intel Core 2 Duo e6700 - Latest Drivers XFX 8800 GTX - Latest Drivers eVGA 680i Motherboard - Latest BIOS 2GB DDR2 Corsair Memory Thermaltake Toughpower 850W PSU 2x 320GB Seagate Barracuda - RAID 0 It will NOT run shading detail above "Low," Texture Detail above "Normal," & AntiAliasing above "Low." If these settings are changed by 1 degree the game will have slideshow FPS near the trees and forests.

When go near trees, textures drop

ROFL, busted!! -
RN Escobar, can you please post a screenshot of your game settings & nvidia settings. Also what motherboard are you using? What forceware drivers? Please get back with me. P.S. a stock e6600 is not at 3.2GHZ. So don't give the BS story about not overclocking. You just overclocked your e6600.

Make sure to get version 1.02 patch & then try again. -
Nothing Whiskey... I'm just in the mood to laugh and use some emoticons. It's a boring day at work. No Aircraft to fuel. Â Â Â Hope California Highway Patrol gets here soon.

Wow, such a very helpful post Binkster. I am sure these might have been overlooked. Thank you for the tips and will check this later on.

Thank you for that ethne. I'll try playing with my nvidia control panel settings, yet AGAIN!! I swear trying to find the sweet spot to get this game running good is a very daunting task.

Sickboy, and Lee... I feel your pain. For the people that haven't read yet or may have missed it, this is pretty much a top of the line computer: Intel Core 2 Duo e6700 - Latest Drivers XFX 8800 GTX - Latest Drivers eVGA 680i Motherboard - Latest BIOS 2GB DDR2 Corsair Memory Thermaltake Toughpower 850W PSU 2x 320GB Seagate Barracuda - RAID 0 It will NOT run shading detail above "Low," Texture Detail above "Normal," & AntiAliasing above "Low." If these settings are changed by 1 degree the game will have slideshow FPS near the trees and forests. In order to compensate for this, I run my game at the following settings: (The game is now playable just about anywhere.) Resolution: 1600x1200x32 Aspect Ratio: 16:10 View Distance: 3130m Quality Preference: Very High Advanced Settings - Terrain Detail: Normal Objects Detail: High Texture Detail: Normal Shading Detail: Low Anisotropic Filtering: High Shadow Detail: High Antialiasing: Low Blood: High Post Processing: Low Oh wait, this is something pre-8800GTX users should be using. We are talking about the latest and greatest. Not so great is it for this game. I can run most of my other games with maximum resolution supported by monitor with every setting maxed out. So don't try and tell me there is something wrong as there is obviously nothing wrong with my system, but something wrong with the implementation of coding/modeling in the game. While I am upset that I have to run this game at such low settings compared to the type of system I have, I guess I will not complain. I only hope BIS puts this issue to Priority #1 instead of the #3 they have marked for it, currently.

Is the game borked or is my computer too little.

Intel Core 2 Duo e6700 - Overclocked to 3.33GHZ XFX 8800 GTX 768MB Video Card eVGA 680i Motherboard 2GB Corsair DDR2 Memory ___ Game runs like crap if I put shading detail on normal, high, very high. Game Resolution & Aspect Ratio: 1600x1200x32 - 16:10 Game Specs: Visibility: 3076 Terrain Detail: Very High Objects Detail: Very High Texture Detail: Very High Shading Detail: Low Postprocess effects: Low Anisotropic Filtering: Very High Shadow Detail: Very High Antialiasing: Low Blood: High With these settings and my rig the game runs great in every place including the bushes. However shading detail plays a huge roll for me which shouldn't be the case. -
I am curious to see if people are getting better performance with DDR memory or DDR2 Memory.

Nathman, the reason why your rudder pedals are not working is the reason for this whole entire post topic. The game does not support multiple controllers at once. Only 1 controller at a time. Sorry!

Can you elaborate more stompy? I am not understanding completely what you said.
