You arrested them.....I just blew the shit out of them!

It seems like you're all making this far more complicated than it really is. Either equip yourself before the mission or at the start (From the tents) with a Strela. When the mission starts issue the order 'go prone' now place yourself at the back of the first tent (where you start) facing into the town up the hill and get the strela ready. The first Wocca should fly directly overhead, aim your strela (Get it locked on) wait till the first parachutist exits, then fire. Now pass back through the tent picking up 9K22 (I think) rocket for strela and reload you should now be watching the other Ch47 land on the beach wait till it lands and fire......reload and fire again. Your squad should of already open fire on the troops on the beach, join in and take them all out. Tell your squad to 'stop' where they are, next the resistance truck should come along take them out...nothing fancy, just shoot them. Now proceed West (I think) up into the high hills where one of the choppers should be downed, this gives you a great vantage point over the whole town and you can pick off what's left of the enemy invasion force.......try to pick up a G36 ASAP as this makes the clean up a lot easier.

I had LAW to blow up tank, when he was right behind me. I moved the mouse to the left, and the mouse button hit the keyboard..... BOOOOOOOOOOM. I fired against a house   <span id='postcolor'> It's more fun than AI doing it to you, like if you're hiding behind an enemy vehicle and they suddenly take a dislike to it and start firing LAWS at it. The other instance is where AI gets it completely wrong and fires it into the ground in front of him.

Place couple of fences at entrance to town that force the first M1A1 between them then place a mine directly in the path which the tank will take between the fences or place a couple of satchel charges either side of the road.....either way the result is partial damge to the tank and the crew abandoning it. Place the shilka at the back of the town between the last house and the water fountain/square feature (Ram into position with BMP) cover it's rear and side with with Urals, place a couple of your troops in as commander and gunner and even driver if you like. Once you've got the M1A1 it's easy, just don't go too far from the shilka/BMP when engaging the enemy, or you'll find half your team dead.
-
Now I know the one! I took out the patrols to the east of your start position and picked up a G36 and a LAW, then took out the rest of the patrols across near the road. Â After that I proceeded to the town and took out the other M113 and as many other enemy troops as possible and then retreated..............easy.

There are three boats....yes/no? go to the boat that's parked on the beach/sand.......you know the one? It's to the left of the manned one that's docked. You catch my drift?
-
Is this the mission where you have to enter Guba's main base? If it is then it's a piece of piss. Just sit on the hill above the main compound and take out every thing in sight.
-
Run to the point 'attack the base' once that is done......it changes the point to 'Hold'...........now hop in a patrol boat and start heading out to sea and the mission will be completed..........rather dissapointing ending to Red Hammer though!
-
I transfered the BMP gunner to the tank as driver so I could concentrate on killing. Took out the first BMP then proceeded to destroy everything within the base and drove around the base watching for mines (Me as driver), then put pedal to the metal. I followed the road with the Hind blasting the ground around me, at this point the BMP got it, I got as far as possible in the tank and then got out on foot and tabbed it to the base. killed everyone, satchel charged the BMP, jumped in the Shilka waited for Hind to fly overhead, shot it down, then drove straight through the first base with RPG's flying everywhere and onto the extraction point. Simple really.
-
I took out the troops in the town to start with, and saved it at that point, I then took out the crew of the BMP as it drove past......not easy, but once in the BMP I could take out the base avoiding the BMP and T-72 in the woods and attacking it broad side without resistance.
-
It's quite simple, the key is take your time! Make yourself gunner and the AI driver, follow the road which heads to the town, slowly approach the crest of the hill overlooking the town, form here you should be able to take out the truck, jeeps and a couple of M60's. Use the slow drive command (Q) and stop every couple of metres heading east across the width of the town instead of at the town, make use of your optics, zoom in and direct a Sabot at the turrets of the enemy tanks, this should dissable their guns, second shot will destroy them. Don't rescue the tank crews untill you've cleared the town and the supply depot. Once you've taken care of the M60's still keep your distance from the town and let rip with some HEAT rounds (Just keep firing untill you feel safe and released some aggression) to take out any troops that are still lurking.
-
You need the repair truck, I would restart, the mission only takes 15 mins if you slowly creep towards the town picking off the M60's one by one. Don't rescue the crews until you cleared the town, not only does it boost your score because you personally killed everything in sight but also none of them die! Leave the reapir truck where it is, so as to keep it in one piece.
-
Have you cleared the Depot where the other T-80's are? And did you get the M113 that tries to escape from the town? It should give you another waypoint once you have all regrouped (Other crews and repair truck).

I take it this is the mission where you take out the M60's in the town?...............The way I did this mission was to stop the repair driver where he is and attack the town by myself, do not rescue the other crews until the town and the depot behind the town is clear. Use the cover well and the M60's won't even get a shot off, keep your distance from the town and use your zoom as gunner, once the tanks are clear reload the heat and let rip fire as many rounds into as many parts of town as possible. It works I got 5 silver bullets.............easy, when Ofp stopped crashing!!

I can assure you.............definately a man!

Then your Gunner will not say 'Can't fire' etc. And if you really don't like being Commander go to the gunners position, you'll still have to direct your tank (Fwd, Bkwd, Left and Right) but you get to shoot aswell. Order the other tanks in your column to engage at will or Open fire adn form Line..............and you should have no probs.

When i start repairs, the words repairing appear on the screen then everything stops (movement, sound, and so on), but i can still drive away in the tank, even though the words are still on the screen. Also, the second soldier that i rescue does not become available tih the function keys, so i cant order him to get into the tank as a gunner. Thanks.<span id='postcolor'> That's quite right, you can't get the second soldier, he has to stay with the repair truck. Make yourself gunner and the other soldier driver, this mission is easy if you go up the hill to the left of the road on the approach to the village. Use the go slow command and stop often, looking through your scope view, zoom in on the top of enemy tank turrets. From this hill the M60's will not be able to see you but you can place a sabot into their turret undetected, hit the turret first and the tank is basically dissabled, second shot will destroy tank completey........take it slow and use the terrain. You will have to use these tatics on the next mission as well, as it contains 6 or 7 M60's in the village where the repair truck is!

Aircraft like the CH-47 can only land on water or snow with the appropriate kit, which are optional extras.....not standard. So yes it can float/hover with the right equipment, but tell your brother (SimplyCosmic) to make sure he's got the right stuff before attempting an OFP style landing on water.

Killing the civilian is inhumane....but fun. Â It will count against your score at the end of the mission if you do kill him and as for getting his keys.........I think in a last ditch attempt to counter the Russian occupation he would take his keys and swallow them as he lays there bleeding to death. What a Hero!
-
Position yourself outside the  tent closest the UAZ, facing up the hill into the town, over your right shoulder will come the first CH-47 lock onto it with Strela and take it out just as the first paratrooper comes out (No sooner as you could miss). One shot should take down that chopper, now turn your attentions to the second chopper landing behind you on the beach, as you go through the tent pick up more strela ammo, position yourself just inside tent, reload strela, take aim, fire. This will either knock the Chinook on it's side or do some damage, take more ammo for Strela and reload and prepare to fire again.  If the choppers still on the ground fire again, if it's taking off wait till it gains hieght and overhead before firing otherwise you could miss. Oh yeah, I placed my squad facing the beach in the prone position, with open fire order.  Once the beach is clear go to see what's left of the other chopper and crew, the safest bet is to go up into the hills and take the remaining troops from there.

Any Red Hammer vets able to help me on the first tank mis.?
Gambba replied to MotherRussiaAK74's topic in OPF MISSIONS
Always go for the turret, this will incapacitate the gun and prevent them from firing, then fire a second shot into the chassis to completely destroy the tank. -
Would it b better 2 buy red hammer or download it?
Gambba replied to BlastinFooz619's topic in OPF MISSIONS
Don't debate it.....Just get it! The difference in price is minimal, so it doesn't really matter, but I would go for the CD and as Grunt said you'll always have a backup copy then.
