Cant move units on editor map

lol, no Im not holding down anything. This happened with Flashpoint, and I found out there was a key locking it, but I cant remember what it was now.
  2. I know this has been asked before< but I cant find it on search>>> In the editor every so often once you place a unit you cant move it again< when you click on it it just spins on the spot> What resloves this ?

patch 1.8 removed all rifles ?!?!

Just patched to 1.8 and now I have a weird bug with rifles. They basically ain't showing anymore. My rpg troops are running around the battle field with no rifles, just the rpg slung over the shoulders. Snipers\marksmen only have pistols, but as a marksman Im only holding a pistol, but can change to the rifle but it still shows as a pistol, but has sights and 30 round clips. Only standard trooper is the machine gunner, they still have the machine gun, but anything that should have a rifle don't have one any more ?

    Fixing ArmA

Operation Flashpoint had quite a few major flaws\bugs that are also present in ArmA. 2 games long and they have not been fixed, so why should I bother buying a 3rd game that will most probably still have the same problems. I wouldn't.

    Fixing ArmA

For me, Arma needs to have more fixes "which I don't ever see happening" before I would ever even think about paying for another game by BIS.

    My ArmA Video

When will people learn that there are far more tracks than "let the bodies hit the floor" I heard that bloody track start up and clicked the video off. Im sorry, but that music track has to be the worst over used music-over ever.

    Why no scores after mission?

I mentioned this when I first got ArmA, having no stastics once you have previewed a mission in the editor. I wouldn't of thought it would of taken much time to impliment this again, but BIS decided to leave out this feature for some reason, and I do miss it, or I did, until I stopped playing ArmA.

    As good as OFP's?

Stating that ArmA has better graphics than Flashpoint should go without saying since there are around 5 years between the games. ArmA has some improved aspects over Flashpoint, but there again it also has some aspects that were good in Flashpoint that they have now totally messed up in ArmA. Collision detection is a lot better in ArmA now, not as much clipping through walls and fences, but it still feels wrong when inside buildings and running up flights of stairs, just isn't a solid feeling. Random objects still sometimes bounce when shot or crashed "don't know if any of that has been fixed with the latest patch" since I don't play ArmA at the moment though. ArmA's campaign is absolutly shit compared to Flashpoint in my view, and that has been said by quite a lot of people on here before. All in all, ArmA is like Flashpoint with vastly improved graphics, some new features like leaning "only a new feature taking into account that Flashpoint didn't have it, but other games have had it for years and years", hand grenades now deflect of objects "even that they may bounce like 30 meters away", vehicles now burn and don't twist like they did in Flashpoint but the model change that happens when the tank for instance is hit is too obvious, and rusty looking... Im gonna stop now. Really, I think ArmA could or make that should of been a whole lot better, with more of the old game engines problems fixed by now, but there still there. Im just waiting now for Operation Flashpoint 2 to come out, and I must say I don't think I can be any more dissapointed with that than what I was with ArmA. ps. I probably wouldn't have had any problems with ArmA if I had never played Flashpoint, but as Flashpoint has probably been my all time favorite game, ArmA simply isn't the leap forward I was hoping for.

I'mAI fireteam does not follow me on bridge.

The AI crossing bridges is simply retarded. I once wanted to make a mission where a tank starts at one end of a bridge, and simply drives across to the other side, but it wouldn't. The tank instead did a u-turn and drove for like 10 minutes all through the city to make it's way to the other end of the bridge, instead of driving the 10 seconds across it. I have not bothered playing ArmA since I realised the AI are so thick.

    beep beep beep

I don't know how to turn it off, but it is the most stupid thing to be able to hear it beeping well above the actual explosion.

    Children?

Ha, everyone is really going to take heed of that comment. Now it would of worked if it was posted by a moderator then the thread closed, but yours dosen't quite have the same effect.

    Children?

Red Dawn. Heh, beat me to it. I agree that it does seem double standard that killing adult males in video games is seen as a fun pass time but mention about doing it to women and kids and people start convulsing, scrabling for their keyboards to condem you to hell But, that is exactly what happens unfortunately, some people base what gender you are and how long you have been living on this earth to dictate how much value they seem to hold about your life. Is it just a mans job to die ?

    Children?

Children in ArmA "again" Some people want them included, others don't. Some people who don't want them flame others that do want them included as being sick. Some people really couldn't care less about the matter. If you really want to know, I mainly fall into the latter. A thread called "women civilians" a few weeks back turned into a bit of a flame fest when the subject of children were brought up and it looks like it might start again. Yes having kids in ArmA as well as women would make far more realistic towns and cities, but the mary whitehouse brigade would probably have a fit.
