    Vista Desktop Flicker

Alright Im running Vista x86 with an AMD 3500+ and Geforce 7800 GTX OC and 2 Gigs of RAM running the latest drivers. However whenever I move my cursor in game to where my task bar would be or my sidebar it will flicker in. Here is a pic of the problems. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for looking guys

    Very poor performance

Anyone with low FPS and knows their system can handle it should reference this thread: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=55529 I could barely run low settings with my PC AMD 3500+ 2GB RAM 7800 GTX Once I changed this value I can now run MAX Settings with no problems.

    Performance Issue

Id have to agree with possible performance issues in the software itself. Will BIS fix this? Most definitly. But anyways I am running an AMD 3500+ 2 GB RAM and a BFG 7800 GTXOC and my other computer a AMD 3400+ 1GB RAM and 6800 Ultra could run the game at higher settings. After applying Marines fix to the installed copy on my stronger computer I was able to run everything maxed out at 1280 res. Seems like a couple pieces of code are a little too demanding on even today's top PC's. I totally reccomend applying Marines fix. Search for "A Fix" and if running Nvidia based cards make sure they are set to Application Controlled outside of the game. But yeah going from barely able to running at low settings to running 20-30 FPS on maxed out totally changes the whole atmosphere of the game

    A Fix - 16bpp Resolution

Thank you so much! This fix not only fixed ArmA for me, but now it lets me run maxed out. Before applying this fix my computer could barely run at 1280 on low settings. I was monitoring my hardware and noticed my CPU being maxed out during the entire game. After applying the fix at maxed out settings with full AA the CPU load is only at 85%. On top of this fix I also changed my GPUs ArmA settings to Application Controlled except for image quality which was set to The Best or whatever. Thanks so much!
