Is there a way to reinstall BE after you choose not to install at first w/o reinstalling the entire game?

I am finally playing the campaign, after playing ArmA since it's release, and get to this last mission. Which starts with my group in a Stryker and we immediatly get blown up by a BMP. Game Over! No team switch or anything. Any Ideas?

Thanks Racingralph, I had it working without the xfi sw loaded but your fix got the sw back on my comp and with it ArmA is running also. YEAHHHHHHHHHH

This turned out to be a xfi software conflict problem. If I uninstall the xfi sw the game starts up but without any sound. Still working on the problem.

OK I updated the drivers and disabled the onboard graphics with no luck. Then I uninstalled the xfi software and viola it loaded but with no sound So there seems to be a conflict with xfi and the 1.05 patch.

edit I have an emachines T6520 model computer BIOS Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 06/12/2005 System Board MICRO-STAR MS-7145 I looked at error Signature it said AppName: arma.locked Appver: 1.5.0.51.36 ModName unknown ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset:76724449 As for all that other stuff I can't cut and paste it here and I'm not sure why?

Yeah I'm having this same problem "ArmA has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." This is what I am running: AMD 3400+ @2.7, ATI Radeon x800 - 256mb, 2 gigs of ram, x-Fi XtremeMusic sound card, all drivers up-to-date The copy of the game was downloaded from Sproket Full game patched to 1.05. Help Me, Obiwan Kenobi, you're my only HOPE!

Hello Fellow ArmAs, I have dl'ed the full 1.05 English version 1.05 patched game from Sprocket.com site. After installing the game and trying to launch ArmA I get an "ArmA has encountered a prob and needs to close..." message and when I looked at error Signature it said AppName: arma.locked Appver: 1.5.0.51.36 ModName unknown ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset:76724449. Any help with what might be wrong I would appreciate the help. I did have the same CheckSum probs on the DL that others have posted about. Tried to reinstall with same prob. The game just starts to load whenthe error comes up. Regards

I got a new LG DVD drive and everything is beautiful now. The game installed and I have no further problems.

I am having this same problem. I have updated my firmware, tried a new DVD drive that is set to region 2 and still can't get the disc to read. Are there any other things you can suggest me to try. If not I'm going to return the game and wait until a NA publisher is finally found. I don't want this to be the case as many of my unit members are already enjoying the game. In the immortal words of Princess Leia "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope."
