Just type "convert xx knots to km per hour" (without the quotes) in google, with a number instead of the xx of course.

Can anyone tell me why the minimum system requirements of QG are different from ArmA's, when it's effectively just a bunch of addons and missions? I'm wondering if I'll be able to run it on my humble Radeon 9800 Pro. ArmA runs quite well, on low settings. On the official QG website the minimum system requirements are stated as follows: - CPU: 2.5 GHz Intel / AMD processor - RAM: 512 MB - Video Card: nVidia Geforce 6600GT with 256 MB RAM, Pixel Shader 2.0 or ATI Radeon x800 with 256 MB RAM & Pixel Shader 2.0 - Free HD Space: 6 GB - Software: Windows 2000 or Windows XP and DirectX 9.0c - For Online Play: Internet connection - Original version of ArmA installed. ArmA minimum system requirements from the wiki: - 2 GHz or better Intel or AMD processor, or equivalent of. - 512 MB of memory. - nVidia Geforce FX with 128 MB RAM & Pixel Shader 2.0 or better or ATI Radeon 9500 with 128 MB of RAM & Pixel Shader 2.0 or better - 5 GB of Disk space (or more as needed for downloadable add-ons) - Windows 2000 or Windows XP. - DirectX 9.0c

Sooooo, when can we start bugging you for more info on QG and Arma2? Welcome back and good luck!

This is not really "another graphics issue", but "another totally ignorant PC user issue". No offense intended. Your video card does not support Shader Model 2, which is required for Arma. As it says on the box: minimum required is a Radeon 9500. Get a new graphics card. Minimum required means minimum required, not "you can get away with a bit less than..."

Overclocked anything? Sounds a lot like something overheating badly.

Just wait for them to reply. When you buy a car and it breaks down, you also have to wait for the dealer to fix it, even though you paid for it.

Now what could be the problem here...... Minimum means minimum, not "you could get away with a bit less than".

Intresting terrain generation software

I really hope that Visitor 3 will have some of the functions Grome has. Especially the object brushes will be very useful. No more placing a thousand and one trees by hand... -
My Extreme 3D Pro works flawlessly here. I don't have that Logitech Profiler tool running. Is the joystick enabled in Arma's options->controls menu?

I can't wait for the first Sahrani Airshow featuring the Red Arrows, Blue Angels, Patrouille de France, Frecce Tricolore, etc... Great job Geloxo! -
Same happens on my Radeon 9800 Pro. Didn't happen with the previous 1.07 beta.

looks at his salary check  Can I work for you please? Three days a month would be fine  If any employee would cost a company 1000 euros per day, every company would go bankrupt *very* quickly. These amounts are only paid when hiring externals from another company. Employees are a *lot* cheaper.

Where is 1.06/1.07? US now has 1.06!

Make that 50, I'm afraid... -
If you mean the ground textures, turn on anisotropic filtering.

I don't know where they got their sounds, but I'm quite certain that the good old OFP birdsong was used in Oblivion as well.

/me reads JFK's sig......

The Bronco would indeed be great. I remember someone made one for OFP, it was awesome. BIS have obviously rewired the A-10's stations. They can't help it that the USAF hasn't fixed that bug on their real-life Hogs yet...

I did experience something similar once or twice on my XP system running 1.05. In my case I could see a few icons from the right-hand side of the taskbar, near the clock.

It runs fine on my P4 3.2 GHz, 1GB, Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB. Try setting everything to very low, view distance to 1200, and resolution to 1024x768. On my rig this runs way better then 640x480 or 800x600. For anyone who's interested, I will gladly trade my rig for one of your dualcore 8800GTS systems that are giving you so many headaches. Just give me a call Â

Install DirectX 9.0c. Vista has DirectX 10, but ArmA needs 9.0c. You can have both installed, don't worry. Do worry about the drivers for, well, every part of your rig. Vista and games don't seem to like each other very much so far.

Kill the fourth guy from the truck as well :-) You should then get a cutscene where you take the truck to the guy that's waiting for that uniform. It's a really nice mission, but very, very buggy.

Please don't port ArmA to any console! I'd rather have BIS spending their time on ArmA patches and Game 2.

If you fly with mouse/keyboard but you do have a joystick attached with a throttle, make sure the throttle is in neutral setting, or completely closed. The keyboard overrides the joystick, but as soon as you let go of the keys, the joystick kicks back in. Or check your key mappings to see if there's anything wrong.
