If you have this error message "CANNOT CREATE 3D DEVICE" after installing a new driver version or some other reason, try to run dxdiag. Btw. this was a hint given by Codemaster-support.
Even if the dxdiag-tests were ok one or two weeks ago, perform all tests for DirectDraw and Direct3D again. If you experience a problem in one test, deactivate this option and activate it again.
E.g. my PC had a problem running the Direct3D-test for the DX8-interface. After deactivating and activating the Direct3D tests, OFP is running now.
