A Navy in general would be ok. Doesn't have to a a U.S. navy per se. A Russian, Brittish, African or fictive navy would be jst as good. Best regards, FinaL

I don't even think it has to be that realistic. As long as there is some kind of radar interface it would make a world of difference. Best regards, Mennorin

The idea isn't that bad, or is it? Some replies would be nice ;)

I would like to see a good working radar system implemented in OFP2. Preferably a radar system that could share it's data with other units in the game You could make different types of radars for various sorts of Units. I imagine AWACS planes functioning as forward air controls directing planes and troops towards their targets. Jetfighters have a radar with a more limited range. SAM systems should only have a limited radar, not being able to see very far or over hilltops. Forward radar posts would become interesting tactical point of interest, worth fighting and dieing for. It should be possible to link the data from the different radars to a central command, or to other units so tactical operations can be planned based on accurate and up to date information. Some advanced radars will be able to identfy friends and foe's and the types of units, but there should also be simple radars that require a posetive identification first. Any more suggestions or additions? Please make em! Best regards, FinaL

I am not a modder so i shouldn't ask silly questions, but is there a way to get rid of the A10 tag? I love flyeing those buccanneers though. Their flight model is yummy. They react to every move i want to make, their handling is just perfect. I noticed that when the buccanneers use their MK84 "retard" bombs they always fall about 100 meters short. Maybe this is something thats tweekable? The AMX Tornado IDS models, by colorchanger (i think) also use retard bombs, but they are quite accurate with them. Maybe their accuracy is something you could use for inspiration. (dunno if it's possible to copy their weapon handling). Maybe the Hawk model by Kegetys is something you can use for inspiration to sort out the cargo and navigator/gunner problem. Maybe you can even email him for some assistance? Keep up the good work! Looking forward to new updates. Best regards, FinaL

First of all, Job well done on those planes. Some minor points though. I believe all planes are A10's in the HUD. So when i lock onto a russian mig21 it tells me i am locking onto an allied A10 thunderbolt. This is quite confusing, and it might affect the AI's capability to recognise them as enemies. (dunno of thats true, but it sure confuses me ) It's really hard to make the SU-27 turn. (i play with mouse) Apart from that it manages to go on supersonic boom speeds byond 800 M/ph. This makes it quite hard to do any dog fights with this plane, let alone get a simple lock on a manouvrable plane like the bucanneer. Best regards, FinaL

Do i need OFP Resistance to run SEB Nampack 2? My german isn't very good, and it's not all that clear. With kind regards, FinaL

Hi there, I was wondering if there is a way to fix the muzzle flash bug if you DON'T have resistance or ver. 1.75? I might buy ofp-r later on, but right now i just want a solution without buying Resistance. Any way that is possible Best regards, FinaL

Look i tried it with the E2-sentry awacs airplane (pretending that would be my refueling plane) and i i could easily keep up with it. And yes sometimes it turns in order to stay on the map. But it adds a little excitement :-) Noone ever said it would be easy, but i its very well possible. and i am not even the best pilot around on this forum i am sure!

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">you know it would be impossible to keep the same speed as the refueling jet in OFP. if you had a flightstick w/ the really fancy schmancy throttle control (like i do ) it would, it might, it wont... more likely <span id='postcolor'> Actually its not that hard. I tried it with the Awacs addon and it is possible to stay close to the plane, you just got figure out at what speed the plane is flying. Greetz, FinaL

I think the skyhawk addon is pretty good actually. Especially the air-ground version. It flies nice, the cockpit is nice and the model is noce. What more do you want? I made a great airsupport mission where you land on a beach while skyhawk blast away at the beach. Hours of fun just watching them bomb that beach. Greetz, FinaL

For OFP i think this is the most likely plane for refueling missions. KC-130 http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/kc-130.htm Notice on the pictures that it also does refueling missions for choppers. Other candidates are: the KC-10 http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/usa/bomber/kc-10.htm and the KC-135 http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/usa/bomber/kc-135r.htm Best regards, FinaL

Well, the plane can fly in little circles of course. Just give it some waypoints and cycle them. No biggy there. But like a lot of add-ons, it doesnt really have to be useful in OFP. It would just be really cool to have a working refueling plane in the game. Besides, i dont care if the island disappeared from the radar. i just follow the plane. Greetz, FinaL
