I m sorry Pappy but I totaly disagree with you. You seem to artificially creating problems. There are already a lot of inbalanced addons. I completly dont understand your argumentation about reconfiguring all previous addons. What a hell for?? Why should anybody do this?? CAVS is supposed to be basic standard for future addons and some older _quality_ addons (like BAS which I am sure can be easly reconfigured by their addonmakers). I dont understand why we should reconfigure some shity old addons. People mostly use newest and highest quality addons. Sure there are gonna be some outsiders who play with old crappy addons, but thats not the argument to stop creating single standards for OFP!! The same is with standards in RL, NATO has standard 5.56 casing and they dont care if there are any other types of 5.56 ammos.Thats why I believe CAVS is absolut necesity for our OFP community to keep up one standard so all addons are more balanced. Sure we cant force anybody to use this standard but at least most of mods and addonmakers can do this if they want to. And I must say, that if there is one common standard people usually try to make things compatible with it.

Well thanx for your advice. I ll try to make camera shaking. As for impression, yes that exactelly what I meant this intro is supposed to look like video made by terrorists . Thats why its so raw.

In mission players are part of US Task Force 20 chasing group and their goal is to find and kill iraqi terrorists who commited this acts and made this video

Dont you think that its high time to make common armour values system (CAVS) for all mods just like JAM for ammo?? I think its really high time to do this because there are too many different systems in different mods and gameplay only looses :/

Although then you run the risk of making them, non-bullet-proof and allowing the AI to see through them if you're not careful about the lods you remove. Yes i know. But is there any other solution for such forrest type addons? He can put some rocks for cover etc.

Well not only. Great amounts of T72M (as well as other weapons) were exported in the 80s to Iraq by Poland and Czechoslovakia (at that time around 1700 T72Ms were exported to middle east countries like Syria, Lybia, Iran and Iraq).

First of all M1A1 is named Abrams (with S at the end, cause its not plural form but rather M1 tank was named after US General Creighton Williams Abrams) Secondly at the peak of cold war USSR had about 50 000 tanks, so NATO doctrine assumed preemptive nuclear strike on Soviet 2nd line troops and bases in Central Europe (especiali in the zone between Wistula and Oder Rivers). Also to eliminate Soviet conventional superiority, NATO planted nuclear mines at the BRD - DDR border.

Script which would throw bodies into the air.

I ve been thinking today about one thing. Is it possible to throw soldiers or their bodies by some script at different angles and directions? What I mean is I would like to see such script that durring explosion throws bodies into the air or out of the vehicles. It would be great thing for missions where players who drive second vehicles in convoy are surprised when the IED explodes and the body of the collegue from first attacked vehicle is thrown onto player's car windscreen and/or mask. I think it would have as much of atmosfere as in BHD movie when Lt.Col.McKnight's convoy is hit by rpgs and one of the soldiers (cut in half) is thrown out of the truck, What do you think? Is it possible to create such script? I am not good at scripting, I m just newbie at this -

I didn't know where to put this topic so I post it here. Anyway, I ve been thinking if it is possible to give desert island more realistic look. Would it be possible to create some kind of addon or script that would simulate desert haze and desert storms? Have you thought about it? Maybe some addon wich would create some desert colour particles could simulate it, or some sort of DXDLL version? Any ideas?

Thanks for response. I tested both addons and they are pretty good . Today I ve been thinking about something else, that is desert fatamorgana . I think it would be pretty funny. I have general idea how to make it. I think this should be a script wich would randomly or not create objects which are away from player and if he gets closer then the script should remove object . Anyway it would be pretty funny dont you think? Please if you have any other ideas on how to make desert islands more realistic just post it here. I think this may help our map makers as well as missionmakers. I love desert!

It does matter, Hebron is the accepted English name for Hevron. Its still mistake. I told you there are a lot of speling mistakes done by poor translators. Hevron is ancient Biblical city founded by Avraham. There are buried Patriarchs of jewish nation, Avraham, Icchak and Yaakov as well as Matriachs Sara, Rebeca, and Leah. I supose speling error came into the west through greek translation. If you translate transladed text to another language then errors are inevitable. But despite that today with todays knowlege even english name should be exact as it is not name with spelling error. To admins, sorry for OT. Just move posts about Hevron to other topic or remove them if you wish. IMO EoT.

No he used word derivative which means not original; secondary. Kfir is descendant though not directly because there were several aircrafts between those two (first Mirage 5 and Nesher). Of course there are minor differences but in Kfir there are far more differences to Mirage III, so its not direct derrivative but rather longer descendant to it. I know most people won't see the difference
