Think it'll be practical against missile threats in real world conditions?

Why America is NOT the greatest country in the world, any-more.

Prove it and show your source for your claim. Being gullible about claims work both ways. Especially from those who have not lived in Russia and only sole knowledge about the country comes from the Western media, those should not be qualified to speak on the behalf of those who actually live there. Even if you have an agenda about that particular country like the OP of "Russia General" thread does for his own reasons, having integrity is to be fair and speaking the truth rather than trying to manipulate others with biased one-sided statements that takes no atrocities of any other countries into consideration. Not everyone is sheep. http://money.cnn.com/2014/12/10/pf/taxes/expat-passport-citizenship-renounce/index.html It costs lots of money to turn in your passport. -
Yes but you beat their armed forces (which is the largest in the world) then what? How will you occupy China? So many people there, can be so many insurgents. Not to mention, the Chinese are fanatically loyal to their homeland.

What would be the strategy to win a war with China?

Even the CIA tortures, so how bad can it be in a game?

If they need that much stopping power for a handgun, they'd just use a rifle. Regular US infantry troops don't carry sidearms. Why have a sidearm when you can have a rifle? Handguns aren't supposed to do a rifle's job.

Was trying to find news for the Marksmen DLC, but can't find it. Is there a release date or updates about it?

Problem with that is females handle the low 9mm recoil better than .45
-
Not trying to be sexist but something to take into consideration. Females tend to have smaller size hands than males, and they are growing in numbers in the military, thus maybe the caliber should stay at 9mm and not higher? Since recoil is less on 9mm.

-
Apparently you're wrong, and so was the Army, as the Army has just decided to retract it. http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/07/politics/army-apology-for-regulation-negro-word/index.html Do NOT use the word "Negro" now if you're in the Army or you'll get in trouble.

If the Russian people are happy with their government, then who are you to say Russia isn't a good government? Maybe the Cold War isn't over in the US either, if you view them as such. Works both ways. It's been a long time since WWII. None of us in this thread were even alive during that time. It's what your generation has done and is doing that's being judged by the people who live now. -

You mean like Conservatives vs Liberals? -
"The Army, along with the rest of the military, collects extensive demographic data on the makeup of the military force for issues such as equal opportunity and ensuring discrimination does not take place."

How about China? Russia?

http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/06/tech/innovation/navy-swarm-boats/index.html (CNN) -- The U.S. Navy is getting ready to "swarm" its adversaries. The Office of Naval Research over the weekend released video of tests conducted in August that showed five "drone" boats swarming a vessel that posed a threat to a Navy ship. "The U.S. Navy is unleashing a new era in advanced ship protection," the service says in the video. Controlled by what the Navy calls Control Architecture for Robotic Agent Command and Sensing (CARACaS), a sensor and software kit that is transferable among small vessels, a fleet of more than a dozen small unmanned boats cruise along the James River in Virginia, setting up a protective screen on a Navy research ship. When a threatening vessel is detected, five boats break off to confront it. "If I was the actual target it would be pretty intimidating to see five boats rushing at me," Sam Calabrese, pilot of the "bad guy" vessel, said in the Navy video. One developer likened the robot boats to "guard dogs" that could swim around a warship and detect threats before they come within striking range. And like dogs, the robot boats actually think for themselves, with their software choosing the best route for each boat to confront a threatening vessel. The drone boats could be armed to fire on adversaries, but fire control would come from a sailor on an accompanying warship. The system also allows the Navy to save money because no special boats have to be built to deploy it. The boats used in the August demonstration came from inventory now carried on Navy warships, the Navy video said. "Any boat can be fitted with a kit that allows it to operate autonomously and together swarm on any threat," the video says. The CARACaS software was originally designed for NASA's Mars rovers, the Navy video says, and adapted for use by small boats. The Navy released the video just a week before the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the destroyer USS Cole in Yemen that killed 17 American sailors. The Cole was attack by a small boat packed with explosives which blew a 40-foot-by-60-foot hole in the side of the destroyer when detonated. It's the kind of attack Navy officials think a swarm of unmanned surface vessels, or USVs, could prevent without putting any sailors in harm's way. "While the attack on Cole was not the only motivation for developing autonomous swarm capability, it certainly is front and center in our minds, and hearts," Rear Adm. Matthew Klunder, chief of naval research, said in a statement. "If Cole had been supported by autonomous USVs, they could have stopped that attack long before it got close to our brave men and women on board." The Navy release says swarmboat capabilities could also play a role in protecting U.S. ports. The U.S. Coast Guard was part of the tests the Navy carried out in August. The Navy did not give a date for when the system could be deployed in the fleet.

Slitting someone's throat isn't a silent kill. There is a myth going on about how slitting somebody's throat with a knife is a silent kill. It is anything but silent. The enemy will gurgle a lot and thrash around until his brain runs out of oxygen. No, if you want a silent kill, you gotta put your blade at the indent at the base of your enemy's skull (bone is thin there) and slam upward at a 45-degree angle. You'll scramble his medulla oblongata and the motor senses are cut off immediately. THAT's a silent kill. Wanted to clear up that myth.

Why would they do that? Russians have strong loyalty to their country, maybe more so than most Americans have to theirs.

Anyone seen facial armor systems yet?
eddo36 replied to BunnyPoopCereal's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Even at less than ONE lb the G4 (just like it's predecessor) can stop lead core AK rounds (7.62x39) at 25 feet!! Just that it would be a pain in the neck from impact, but that's why I suggested the neck roll. This would most likely be used for CQB rather than long range shooting prone anyways. -

Yes, I was thinking more of CQB. -

I still think it'd be wise to implement a football-style neck roll to prevent neck injury from impact.
