Patch has made things better for me slightly, but stuttering whilst flying makes flying near impossible to do and also slight stuttering in built up areas.# vista 64 4 gig ram fx60 cpu 8800gtx

After applying patch 1.14, ever since then when firing the miniguns in the little bird/ AH6, US and RACS versions, the rotor/engine noise dissappears and re-appears about 10-15 seconds later after I have finished firing the minigun. Is this a problem/bug or is this something that was implemented into the game with patch 1.14 ? I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled to see if the problem would go away, but no luck. Â I dont have any mods installed at all except gambit, but when I uninstalled arma and gambit, I tested it out with just arma installed and the same thing happened, no rotor/engine sound in the little bird when firing its miniguns. When Firing the miniguns, the engine/rotor sounds gently fade out and then gently fade back in about 10-15 seconds after I stop firing, could it be because their is no doors on that helo and the guns are close to the pilot that he gets slightly deafened by the firing of the guns thus not being able to hear the engine/rotor sounds for a few seconds ? Â or am I totally wrong and its a bug... Any Ideas anyone ? thanks in advance E.S

Hey Baddo, thats a good site you linked me to tell me, I never ever played OFP, but do OFP tutorials and commands on that website also apply to Arma ? or are they 2 seperate games and need their own tutorials/commands ? Cheers E.S

Yea, I second this, because at the moment all I can do is place units and set waypoints but 9 times out of ten the enemy do their own thing and I would love to read an easy to understand mission editor tutorial as half of the stuff in the mission editor I have no clue what its for, as for the scripting, I would love to get into that if it is easy enough for this game. I have checked the arma wiki's but it is not n00b friendly thus to me it is a waste of time, I am sure it will be useful to others, but just isnt to me. So if anyone has a n00b friendly mission editor tutorial or scripting tutorial can you please post a link to it ? cheers. E.S

I have seen screenshots of Arma where it looks as tho they are capable of doing a complete 360 degree camera movement in Arma whilst in 3rd person mode ? I cannot, when I push and keep my finger on Alt whilst in 3rd person mode and rotate my mouse I can see the sides and the rear of my character but I cannot get to see my character from the front. Is it possible for me to be able to see my man from the whole 360 degrees whilst in 3rd person mode so that I can take some screenshots and make some wallpapers ? Basically all I want to know is if its possible to see my character whilst in 3rd person mode from the front instead of being limited to the sides and rear ? I have tried searching but I cant find anything. Cheers.

Well then the List needs to be amended to reflect that that particular bug has been fixed and the many others, dontcha think.

Just to add, it says on the very first post that XFi users must set the sound card to Game Mode or Arma will refuse to start ? that is wrong as it has always worked for me in Entertainment and Game modes, I havent tried it in Audio Creation Mode, but I know for a fact that it works in Entertainment mode as I usually forget to switch from Entertainment mode to Game mode before starting the game, I then have to exit the game and then switch to Game mode so that I get EAX, I have seen myself playing missions and saying to myself that it doesnt sound right, only to remember that I am still in Entertainment mode So XFi users can definetly play in other modes, its just a case of, why would they want to

Hi, first post around here, but I get this just before i jump into the helicopter to use the mingun and then i get an unending burned out chopper landing on my crashed chopper killing me continuously and i get this text staying in the corner of the screen all the time, any ideas, pic below. Just to add, when I took the pic, the screen just went black, I can normally see the whole game when that error text shows but it just so happened when i took screenie the screen went black The problems seem to start whe the airport has been taken iover and the blackhawks come into land 3 of them, 1 of them crashes then the harriers come over and the text appears and then the game starts to screw up.
