You can adjust them on the monitor anyway. Not as effective as adjusting in-game settings but would still be enough to give an advantage in certain situations.

Its only in Beta. Many people are waiting for final release to get into it INCLUDING making missions etc. Also in the ARMA series the Co-Op mode has always been the most popular. Hopefully there will be more PvP when its final.

Yes, I'm amazed BIS hasn't improved this yet. In the meantime use Bad Denson's texture mod. It improves the ground textures a huge amount and doesn't seem to affect fps. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19524 Of course online servers need to have the key enabled so you can use it.

I agree that boats should stop a bit faster but what bothers me more is not being able to turn properly at low speeds. With full rudder/thruster deflection 'A' or 'D' and a quick burst of power 'E' the boat should turn quite fast with only a bit of forward speed.

It will probably not look quite as good as that while playing unless you have a very powerful PC.

Because its a GAME and we don't care that its "not realistic to be on your own" in a mission. Learn to make your own missions and you can do almost anything you can imagine. This game has some bugs and problems but still has more freedom, complexity and scope than any other game ever made so sorry but if you don't like it then stick to Ghost Recon as you said...

Sorry, doesn't bother me either. Its important to have the autosave to cut out the intros etc. There is an option in difficulty settings to allow multiple saves or not

I think VBS took a different path to character animations from ARMA way back when it started. VBS was started by BIS but branched out and became a separate product with different developments.

Yes, you can. 1st Make a new profile in ARMA3 Copy your old profile and just rename it to the name of the new one you just made. (delete or change the new one a bit so that there won't be a conflict when you rename the old one to the new) In case anyone wants to know how but doesn't know the files: -You MUST make a NEW profile in ARMA3 BETA first. -Find the old (ALPHA) profile in: C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Arma 3 Alpha - Other Profiles Then go into the folder NAME of the profile you want to copy and in there you will see: NAME.Arma3AlphaProfile Copy it -Go to BETA folder: C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles Go into the folder of the new profile NAME and delete or rename: NAME.Arma3Profile -Paste the old profile in there and rename it to the new NAME.Arma3Profile Sounds complicated buts it VERY simple.

Related to temps; Its VERY important to make sure all fans are dust free. Its critical to have good airflow through the computer. Also as mentioned before, having a good power supply is more important than many people realize. ARMA may have pushed the card to its death a bit faster due to load/heat but software cannot kill hardward. (Unlike the old days [bBC micro cassette drive] ;)) Graphics cards and processors have auto shut down in case of serious overheats so excessive heat should not kill a component. BUT constant use at high temps near operation limit WILL reduce the component life.

What about only allowing manual fire of the cannon? I doubt the pilot can fire weapons in a real chopper. If the gunner was killed or incapacitated they would certainly RTB. Giving a pilot full control of all weapons does defeat the point of having a gunner seat. I think the AH-9 (Little Bird Gunship) should stay the way it is with pilot having full weapons control.

-Not enough content for big missions yet Many players are new so just hopping in to have a play while they learn. -New builds break missions as well. -Stratis is a bit small. Once final is released I hope we will see more large scale missions on Altis ;)

Yes, I'm sure ALL of us ARMA fans want to keep it more sim and I'm also positive that BIS want to keep it that way too. Its good to have some input from new players how to make ARMA easier to get into and control without changing the fundamental gameplay. DayZ is great for that genre of survival game and I hope it has lots of success as stand-alone. What I also meant with BIS being brave is that they have given themselves a lot of work just organizing all the comments and bug reports. Its good to have lots of people testing for bugs but many fail to spot things that are already reported. (Its can be hard to search because you don't know what the title may be)

Yep I do know but its quite pointless to engage enemy over 300m with the weapons those scopes are usually on. The most common engagement range is below 300m where the RCO and ARCO are just shit. What the hell is the big deal about adding elevation adjustment!?!?!?

I wonder if the effect is the same for everyone because Idon't notice it that much and I have PP on normal with 150% DoF I agree and have said before that you get the fatigue effect too quickly after running or sprinting. Running time should be much longer before fatigue hits.

Yeah, for the RCO and ARCO the 'scope' view is not a collimator only the red dot type on top is. What bothers me is the 300m fixed ranging. So below that you have to shoot at enemy feet to hit them in the torso and more than 300m you have to shoot over their heads.FPDR Apparently even in the future they are using crappy sights that can't be adjusted for elevation :coop:
