AF uses the GAU-5(A,A/A,A/B, etc.) series, which is their version of the CAR-15.

Will there be correct pouch configurations for certain classes, like the machine gunners? Like what was done with the Nampack. It's kind of funny seeing a M240 gunner with M16 pouches on their RACK.

Note that not all units are issued flattop M16's. Those that are, are also issued with M5 RAS (KAC rail system), M68 (Aimpoint Comp M), and--depending on availability--AN/PEQ-2's or AN/PAQ-4C's. As stated above, IBA (Interceptor) is standard issue, if anything probably REMF 'Guard units are still wearing PASGT vests. I haven't heard anything about frontline guys wearing PASGT... I don't recall seeing anything mentioned about radios, but the ICOM IC-F4S, PRC-126, PRC-148 (MBITR), PRC-119 (SINCGARS manpack), PRC-117 (manpack), and even Saber's are (still) in use (plus a bunch of others that aren't publicly mentioned often). Again it depends on the unit.

Wow, rape me with a dildo some more why don't y'all? Regardless, with HK producing a M4 of their own, I'm not quite so sure how it's going to affect the XM8 project at all. After all, the M4 platform already does everything the XM8 is meant to do...

The USMC cap is not worn by the Army, or any other service except for the Marines...

"STRIKE" is just BlackHawk Industries name for their line of MOLLE compatible gear. Their only saving grace is that they can produce MASSIVE amounts of gear in a relatively short period of time--it's all made in Vietnam, afterall--for people who need it, need a lot of it, and need it RIGHT NOW. Otherwise, pretty much all they do is copy other gear manufacturers. With the STRIKE line they've copied off Eagle Industries, who in turn, copied Paraclete Armor. General issue for the Army these days is the MOLLE II system, which is produced by Specialty Defense Systems (a division of Specialty Plastics). Unfortunately, it is not the greatest of kits, but it is a step in the right direction.

If that's supposed to be an Aimpoint Comp series, why is the glass hue blue? Why does it look like there are two different mounts (on the pic of the MP5 facing left) attaching the Aimpoint to the scope mount? Why is there an variable adjustment knob on the front section of the Aimpoint? I've never seen the Navy lower receiver with the older SEF style finger/hand molds before either...

The Aimpoint looks like it's being tilted downwards -- it should be flush (straight). Nice to finally see the absence of black webgear over woodland BDU's.

SEALS still use the M60E3. I'd also suggest everyone go look at FN's site and check out the Mk46 Mod 0 here. There is also a Mk48 in the works...

I found it harder to hit things with missles than before (using F14's vs. SU-25's). The swirly effect is cool, though. Missles were UBER accurate before I applied your config changes.

Minor detail I hadn't noticed before, but: The SR-47 was/is produced with the newer fiberrite stock (the one with the ribs, no sling passthru on top, just the central one, sling pin on the bottom of the stock, and the end is shaped at a slight curve). http://www.quarterbore.com/kac/sr47.html Again, not a big deal just a minor quibble.

Adammo released them as FBI HRTs and someone else converted them to Ghost Recon units for OFP. Standard issue is LC-2 Y harness, ELBV, grenadier vest, SAW gunner pouches, and MOLLE II (this is all dependant on regiment, service, etc.) The above stuff won't be breaking OPSEC (heaven forbid), so it's no big deal. As for the black gear thing, it may look "cool" but again it is no gear is issued in black. OD or woodland only. Black also stands out in any environment -- it is not a naturally occuring camoflauge color. Again, if this is supposed to be current issue (and in use in the 'Stan), then black is a no-no. Everything is either in OD, woodland, 3 color, or tan. GR skins: I'm not sure which service you're trying to model here... I'm assuming Army? If it's infantry, then Y-harnesses, ELBV's, and MOLLE all the way. If you're going for uniformed SFODA, it may be prudent to slap Chinese AK harnesses on them, as this is what they are/were using there. Or SPEAR ELCS in WD/3 color. Khaki pants, polo shirts, and photographer vests may also work if you're going to have VIP missions.

Several things: The camo is a off. Kneepads are huge -- they're more like shin pads in those pics. The "black" tinted lens goggles need to be fixed... it should be a shade of grey and you should be able to see their eyes. Black webgear is an extremely poor choice for desert environments. Black webgear is also not issue. OD/Woodland is issue. Black helmets are also bad and are not issued in black, with the exception of Pro-tec helmets. And many of those are spray painted over. Is this is supposed to be a OP:Enduring Freedom campaign? If so, they may want to head on over to www.militaryphotos.net for reference. You'll rarely see anyone wearing any black gear, with few exceptions including the Polartec 300 ECWCS fleece jacket (originally issued as part of the SPEAR system to SF, although the jacket and perhaps the entire undergarment system is now being issued service wide). This jacket, incidentally, is really nice and comfy. Also, the PASGT vest is no longer issued. Current issue body armor is the Point Blank Interceptor vest, which has PALS webbing stitched all around for MOLLE compatibility. LC-2 and ELBV gear is still issued, although MOLLE is being issued to services other than the Marines. I'm not so sure ripping the GR skins is that great an idea... if I recall correctly, the gear they chose for the soldiers was mish-mash. I remember seeing RACK, MOLLE, LBT-1195J/K, etc. on different soldiers.

Will there be an iron sight only as well? And, as an aside, are you going to make accurate iron sight reticules? (as in America's Army, for example)

Wow, that is impressive. What are the poly counts on this and the SR47?
