My problem is fixed. I talked to my router company and they made me go through my network settings and open up the IP and all the ports and it works now.

Wow it works!
I plugged my computer DIRECTLY into my modem (By passing the router) and the game works fine...
So it HAS to be my router now.

Hmm, they should only need to know that those 3 ports are required to be open...I made 3 different settings in port triggering.

ArmA voip
and typed the numbers you listed in each text box and tried it (Starcraft had the same deal with the same number and it works for that game), but it still did not work. I still cannt join multiplayer games but I can HOST multiplayer games.

Okay, now that I have those 3 numbers I have to get a range with them... There are 4 slots I need to fill.

What ports does ArmA use for multiplayer? I was talking to my router company, to fix my multiplayer bug, and they said that I should try port triggering. To do that I need to fill out the following:
Trigger /Port Range-Incoming /Port Range (There are 4 slots to fill)

I have a X52 and the throttle seems to work fine. One thing though with my X52 is that the rudder seems to be not working that great. It almost seems as if the helicopter is trimming itself and not actually using the rudder...

Installed zone alarm and still having that connection problem.I'm not sure if this would get any mileage, but have you tried the "remote" function and used an IP? Granted it probably just acts as a filter, but it's something that I haven't been able to try yet.
I have tried that before and it did not work.

To anyone having the "can host but can't join" problem:I haven't found a fix yet, but a rather peculiar anomaly - when I host a game on LAN from my laptop, my desktop can join without issue.
Sorry - it's still not a fix, but it is some new information.
That is REALLY weird...

Priority right now is to create more capture points on the map, but we will look into it.

I am making a mission where RACS forces go into a village that has half armed civilians and unarmed civilians. I want to deter the RACS from shooting all civilians and making it easy on them, so I would like to put an ingame punishment; If they shoot and kill a friendly civilian then they will do damage to themselves and if they do it enoujgh they will die.
Does anyone know how to do this? I have looked around but found nothing.

I'm running the game at 75 hertz the same refresh rate as my monitor. Should I drop both down to 60 hertz?

Here are my stats:
Asus P4P 800 Deluxe
2.8c GHZ (Intel)
Saphire X1650 Pro (AGP)
PC3200 2 X 512mb
Audigy 2zs
Now I have to run the game on LOW on EVERYTHING.
The only things that is on normal is textures.
Then I have Antristroptic and shadows turned off.
I run it at 1280x1024x32.
Using Teamspeak overlay I get about almost 30 FPS in the country but in citys it will drop down to 15. BUT in a firefight my frames will drop especially in a city to the point where it is a slideshow. In a firefight in a city my FPS will get down to 9-12 and it is simply unplayable.
Is this a game issue or is it just my computer?

@EnigmaI've tried just about everything I could think of to get that glitch fixed. I think all you (we) can do is hold tight until official word comes through on it.

What are your system specs? Have you already tried the basics (updated DirectX, latest drivers, etc.)?

I tried unistalling AVG and reinstalling, still having my problem.

My guess is that I need to foward the port for ArmA on my router but I am not sure what it is...

I thought this was a problem that was just in the demo but I downloaded the full game and it still haunts me...

I can host a game for Armed Assault fine, but when I try to join a game it acts really weird. I have to hit OKAY to see everyone on the server, then I have to be dragged into a slot. When the host hits continue I get stuck on the recieving mission file screen. But I can host fine...

Note-I can host and join games fine in all other games, it's just Armed Assault.

The only protection I have is AVG and no firewall (windows firewall is turned off).

I have the german version from amazon.de, i'm spanish and i have the game in 10 days more or less.The translation simply translate all text from the game, voices are in english by default, not in german.
Excellent.
Other then some human errors with the translations and patching issues, there should be no other downsides?

I am really considering to buying Armed Assault from a German website, but I am just wondering, are there any long term problems from getting it?
I know the only problem I see about it is the fact that I need to revert back to German before I repatcht it, but other then that, I should be good? Mods should work the same, everything should work as they are?
Furthermore, how good is the translator? What does it translate? Is the audio from the AI in English? And just the text that goes with it in German?

This is disgusting behaviour from USM and I am deeply appalled. BIS is a small, yet hardworking company, and it cannot be expected to make a perfect game on the first swing. Everyone must understand that future patches will make this game into something that we will all love and there is no need to "get back at bis."
